I still can't believe it's only been like...2 years since I found these guys at Boney Junes in Evansville Indiana and me and my friend both bought each of their self produced original albums and met them and shook their hands and talked to the them for a while. We went to 2 of their other shows playing around us and they gave everyone hugs and stuff and no one knew who they were really. The little venues barely had anyone there and we were just super enthralled with these guys wondering how they weren't signed, wishing they had more attention.
Then I saw they suddenly got picked up by one of my favourite labels after selling out that place in their home town. Such a huge inspiration. :'D I hope they are enjoying their lives. They deserve it.
Oh my God Evansville Indiana?! I'm literally like 30 min away from there! It's amazing to see how far they've come. I remember listening to Guns for Hands back in 2012 and now Blurryface is huge and it's amazing and I've met so many cool people through them :D

I used to listen House of Gold on repeat in 2012 after I heard it on the radio. I remember noting that the band's name sounded familiar because I knew several people who liked them from tumblr, but I never ended up listening to any other songs because of a combination of being lazy and not super into discovering new music at the time. (Thank God I've changed :P) I'm still kicking myself for not actually listening until over a year later. It's crazy how they were practically in my city (which they would never come to now, since it's fairly small) and I could've met them if I just wasn't lazy and got into their music then. Ugh!
