Hawaiian XC Flying

This flight has been on the bucket list from the moment I started to look at and study cross country flying. How cool to soar across almost the entire Island of Oahu on these vertical green walls!?
I was on a family vacation with Sarah and the new baby in January, 2023 when I got a morning off to go try a little XC with local legend Doug Hoffman. The base wasn't high and I wouldn't have gone nearly as fast with out Doug's local knowledge...but following him was like having the cheat codes for this flight. He knew exactly where the good lift would be, and some parts weren't as obvious as others. No radios just a couple of bros out chasing it and enjoying the most scenic way to see Hawaii.
