Bob Waldmire: To the end of Route 66

Bob Waldmire, famous Route 66 artist talks about his life and his impending death from cancer. Bob had his last art show at the Cozy Dog Drive Inn in Springfield, Ill. on November 22, 2009. Bob passed away on December 16, 2009.

My wife and I just took a trip to Trinidad Lake State Park and on the way back home to Dallas, stopped in Tucumcari and bought a New Mexico poster. I knew nothing of Bob Waldmire. I have now been intrigued with the work he made. Its sad he died on my 27th birthday. We plan on visiting Illinois now.
