BMW N46 engine oil leak fix! 320i E90

This engine has so many common issues with leaks! Between the 2 previous videos on N46 leaks...

and this video I've probably explored 90% of the potential leak points!
The one which fixed it seems to be a less common one. The problem manifested under braking as oil dropped onto the exhaust causing a burning oil smell in the car. This led to me think it was related to the brake pump but that wasn't the case. There is a plate which holds a spring against the camshaft for the valvetronic system and this plate was the cause! Who knew!
In finding this we also had disaster with snapped bolt in the head!

WELL DONE MATE!
I have the same issue with this terrible engine. Only bought the car as a run around to keep miles off the nice car! Spent more time parked up. Had it all apart various times - will replace this one also. Many thanks! Great video. I was only doing the work yesterday - the timing on this video - about a week late! :D
