it means that she was doing the fiction of that girl like there are 2 types of girls in this video: school girl and motorcycle girl, and the school girl does a fiction featuring the motorcycle girl, thinking about that it could be her.

From what I've been reading in the comments, it sounds like Sonic Strike is part of a future project, but not part of this album. This was apparently said by TLT on Discord.
Plot twist: orange jacket guy is actually a mascot for a company that sells drinks and does safety video about the dangers of being under the influence.
Ryok The Gravitor What I mean is that the drunk video is the safety video he was paid to star in, but yeah I guess it is still a possibility that it's what he experienced before being the mascot.
So during the Drunk song there was a small clip of the end of this song at the end, are we to assume the computer bit at the end of this one is a hint to another song as well?
I believe it is So far I think the only tracks that have been announced/released for his album are Drunk and Sunburn, because they are the only ones that tease the album at the end and have unique animators designated to each song. The ending of this music video seems like it is, in fact, teasing the third song in the album!
This song is probably about daydreaming about finding someone you love. The tabaching at the beginning was daydreaming crazy about spending time with her crush. Which is the motorcycle girl. But at 3:18, you can see a person with a similar haircut to the motorcycle girl, and you can see her kind of become sad at the end of the clip. Same thing with the tabachingching. Now. This can be interpreted in many ways. First is that the motorcycle girl also has a crush on the tabachingching and is daydreaming about spending time together. Second is both the motorcycle girl and the tabaching are looking back on their previous life. We can see this at the end where the tabaching is looking back at herself, and also at the aforementioned 3:18. And that’s it. It’s 1:00AM and it feels like I’m about to die. Bye.
I love how on each Tlt Original, you have the Skull somewhere, either as a Logo, as a character, etc... (there's even that little refrence to "Drunk" on an add like "No Mercy" as the 1st add, super cool :D) and that now you have a taste of the next song at the end, in a VHS style (I remembered the end of the song from listening too much "Drunk" X)) Amazing touches. I love it alot !
Here is a list of all the Easter eggs of other songs I found. 1:24 no mercy 2:38 and 3:08 my ordinary life 2:42 drunk Also at 3:08 sonic strike I'm not sure what that is.
I was not thinking on the name, but the characters, TLT announced the character in this one, maybe not announcing it now, instead "revealing" it for a short period?
sonic strike could be a possible comic/ animated series, tlt said that the sonic strike thing has something to do with something they’ve worked on longer than they worked on Zero_One
Gabriel Reda lets put it in a scenario: The singer have a girl friend, the girl friend tell the singer that he is always day dreaming, telling him the dreams are fake. So the singer call the girl friend fake as in she doesnt love him, she is just with him for what he own. Sorry for the bad explaination, its a really hard line to describe and english isnt my first language either.
I think that the song switches between two pairs of voices: someone watching their friend become stuck in their daydreaming and head fantasies, and the person themselves constantly daydreaming. The former begins the song and the pair go back and forth, with the latter describing their daydreaming as if it were a dependent relationship of some sort. The person stuck in their daydreams ultimately acknowledges this and admits to wanting to stay in a fantasy (ie getting sunburned). This is me just going off the lyrics alone. If anyone has any suggestions or corrections they want to make based on the video itself or how they interpreted the lyrics, please comment down below.
Yeah, the song is basically talking about someone being blindsided by the fact that they’re in love, but not realizing that the relationship is really one sided and toxic. So it’s called Sunburn because they’re so wowed by how bright the sun (relationship) is that they don’t realize that they’re getting burnt in the end Also I think the animation itself is kind of telling a different story from the actual song

Its kinda strange how there's a lot of people in the comments that say "I like to imagine this as a happy ending" when the video and song literally touch on the topic of how imagining unrealistic happy endings to the point of losing yourself to them is unhealthy
not quite, the song is more about putting on a fake persona and imagining all sorts of made up scenarios. it can be interpreted that at the end the girl let herself be true, and is looking back at who she used to be and how she usef to imagine fake scenarios when she could've just lived life. so you can still interpret a happy ending
Everyones pointing out the lesbian biker thing but not one person has said how the panning city gives akira vibes. this music video is close to a masterpiece so many cool little references and enjoyable little hints at other videos.
Ya know, I thought the exact same thing when I looked up the lyrics and compared it to the title. "Why name the song Sunburn?" After some pondering, I like to think that the reason it's called Sunburn is because that's exactly how a relationship like that is. A sunburn will stay on your body for a period of time until the skin either peels or heals from it. A sunburn won't kill you most of the time (some exceptions I'm sure), and it stings a bit when you get it, much like the relationship depicted in the song. It won't kill you, but it's going to sting the majority of the time you are in the relationship. Only when you finally peel back the dead skin is there some sort of relief and new skin can shine. In order to no longer burn and sting in the relationship, you have to accept the truth of their actions and move on from there, metaphorically you have to "peel back the skin". In the songs case though, the person accepts that they get constant sunburn from their significant other, which is ironic because too much Sun can form Skin Cancer and eventually kill, much like how a suffocating relationship could harm someone beyond belief.
@@mrsodifficult8898 That's a good look at it if you were just looking at the song, so yes. You did a very good evaluation of it. Anyone else notice “sonic strike” next to a picture of my ordinary life while they were motorcycling down the building? Maybe a reference to another possible upcoming song... Just guess though
To make another addition on something I noticed: in the background of the bar there was a band and an image of the living tombstone that we haven’t see before, which is likely going to be footage and animation style in the upcoming song as well.
my absolute favorite part about this music video is that EACH AND EVERY person you see, whether they're important or not, has work put into them. Some of them are animated, sure some are static but they have actual design work put into them, they're not just gray blobs or faceless or all brown-shaded or something like that. They're not just passively standing/sitting, everyone is DOING something, and I love it! Keep up the good work!
Hey living tombstone? You might not see this, but I love the fact that this isn’t necessarily a love song, but more a song of concern over how the singer is worried about their love interest. They pretend to be all these personas and it’s clear that while the singer has a “dream version” of her, he admits that’s not who she is. However, she tries to be so many people’s manic pixie dream girl that she’s scared of doing anything real or unknown. Also “Love is blind when you are staring at the sun”? That is a perfect way to say that her relationships only work if and when her target is willing to believe the lie she’s selling, and though she may enjoy it, she will eventually hurt or “sunburn” everyone around her if she doesn’t stop. Edit: I listened to the Zero-One album, and Yovan, PLEASE STOP. I love your work and things take time, so slow down, work when you can, and be safe alright? We’ve lost a lot of people these past two years and I don’t want you or your friends to become part of their numbers.
That's exactly how I felt when I first heard it, it's someone who knows who she is, watching from the sidelines as she tears herself down over and over to please everyone, to be everyone's daydream. She may even be in a toxic relationship, changing herself to fit her partner's version of what she "should" be, and forgiving them every time they apologize even if she knows it'll happen again
This is still amazing today. This whole album really has helped me in terms of having something relatable to listen to, especially since being late diagnosed with ADHD lol. Love your music❤️

Me and my boyfriend actually went out on a motorcycle ride like this while this song was playing on our Bluetooth speaker, and oml it was like living out a dream. It was so surreal.
Well, if you look at the description is about losing yourself as somebody else, so I think that it's just the girls imagination. Maybe about wanting to be friends or more with the biker girl.
its up to you but probably not! since the entire song/video is about daydreaming/fantasies i personally saw it as the girl projecting her daydream self into the group. (since she wasnt there in the beginning)
It could be optimistic even if she isn't with the group at the end! Maybe after envisioning herself with them at the end, she convinces herself to actually go talk to them! Although everyone's ideas are valid!
The thing that makes TLT's songs so cool is the message, delivered both by audio and visuals. It always has a theme of innocence decaying into something like anger consuming you, losing your innocence, or an issue like relations or depression, or not being able to turn back from a decision Songs like 'My everyday life' and 'Cut the cord' show this so well and this song adds to that list.
So this is about losing yourself to be apart of somebody else's reality, right? So does that mean the main character was actually the girl on the train ( 3:18 ), watching them ride down the building? And the girl she was made out to look like is an actual person that hangs out with that other girl- she just wished she were her to the point she imagined that whole scenario up in her image, which was why she looked like her in favor of who she really is. She looked out the window at her at the words "I'm losing myself" ( 3:38 ), so it would make sense if that were a point in which she was starting to realize that she was indeed losing her own identity so she could continue fantasizing being in the other person’s shoes. And "You smile and I get sunburn" could entail that her world revolves around that girl and that she gets burned or hurt whenever she sees her enjoying her life and her friends, since she wants to be apart of it. Or to be her, to describe the extreme. Man, that's wild
This song reminds me of my old crush back in school. I wanted to be friends with her but I was to afraid to go and talk to her. So I watched her on the schoolyard and daydreamed how it would be when we are friends. After 2 years, at the last day of school, I finally got my courage together and spoke with her. The conversation went well but since this is the day where everyone starts going their separate ways it was to late to become actually friends. If you ever want to get to know someone better just talk with the person. What could possibly go wrong? You can always daydream about them but life moves on.
I like to think the girl left the biker gang, but she’s rusty. But it explains why they’re already so chill with the main character. But it also explains their confusion turning to confidence when they get on the bike. The lyrics also can match this story a lot, like “you’re losin yourself with the life that you’re leading..”

@@3twibles4sweetrevenge ?
@@3twibles4sweetrevenge Yeah what is that supposed to mean?
Gabriel Reda maybe
Gabriel Reda lets put it in a scenario: The singer have a girl friend, the girl friend tell the singer that he is always day dreaming, telling him the dreams are fake. So the singer call the girl friend fake as in she doesnt love him, she is just with him for what he own. Sorry for the bad explaination, its a really hard line to describe and english isnt my first language either.
I just listened to this as soon as it struck midnight on my birthday. I love you Living Tombstone
So it’s called Sunburn because they’re so wowed by how bright the sun (relationship) is that they don’t realize that they’re getting burnt in the end

you just killed nearly everyone in this comment section bro
The ending is fake the last section is basically her Envisioning herself outside even though she knows she is not that person.
not quite, the song is more about putting on a fake persona and imagining all sorts of made up scenarios. it can be interpreted that at the end the girl let herself be true, and is looking back at who she used to be and how she usef to imagine fake scenarios when she could've just lived life. so you can still interpret a happy ending
Because people are terminally online and can't face reality or bold decisions, so they create the BS happy ending

How is this underrated?
Lobby Man he never said he was underrated..?
It kind of is tho. For all this they deserve the attention that Disney gets. Or Arianna Grande.
sunburnt from daydreaming so much
Ya know, I thought the exact same thing when I looked up the lyrics and compared it to the title. "Why name the song Sunburn?"
After some pondering, I like to think that the reason it's called Sunburn is because that's exactly how a relationship like that is.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for the story they were trying to convey in the video with how she losing herself in the fiction of someone else. I think that's what everyone is a bit confused over.

my absolute favorite part about this music video is that EACH AND EVERY person you see, whether they're important or not, has work put into them. Some of them are animated, sure some are static but they have actual design work put into them, they're not just gray blobs or faceless or all brown-shaded or something like that. They're not just passively standing/sitting, everyone is DOING something, and I love it! Keep up the good work!
Ya got a point but I really love that transition with the human nautilus in Drunk
This animation is from Studio Meala if you didn't know already, other music videos are made by other people and are credited in the description! :)
Also I love how everything in the background is a reference to another TLT song.
Yeah! Every single character has a unique design and a personality even if they're only onscreen for a moment

@@rosario8941 thanks! I just felt that this songs lyrics worked. And they deserved to be highlighted.
I find it nice when people treat creators with the care they deserve.

The thing that makes TLT's songs so cool is the message, delivered both by audio and visuals. It always has a theme of innocence decaying into something like anger consuming you, losing your innocence, or an issue like relations or depression, or not being able to turn back from a decision
Songs like 'My everyday life' and 'Cut the cord' show this so well and this song adds to that list.
@Gemtem that too. But this has a real edge

THESE ANIMATIONS ARE SO GOOD THAT THEY MAKE ME WANT TO EXPLODE😭😭😭😭😭😭
I like that in her daydream, she dreams of someone dreaming of her that same way from the train. That's such a cute little detail that is so real
Gangster is surprisingly chill about a schoolgirl jumping out of a freaking train and nearly killing them both by landing on their bike
Okay but peepeepoopoo
THANKS for the theory

This song is still amazing 2 years later, TLT really did well with this song
This song reminds me of my old crush back in school. I wanted to be friends with her but I was to afraid to go and talk to her. So I watched her on the schoolyard and daydreamed how it would be when we are friends. After 2 years, at the last day of school, I finally got my courage together and spoke with her. The conversation went well but since this is the day where everyone starts going their separate ways it was to late to become actually friends.
If you ever want to get to know someone better just talk with the person. What could possibly go wrong? You can always daydream about them but life moves on.
The moral of the story is: drop outta school and join a motorcycle gang.
Or... daydream about drop out of school and join a motorcycle gang.
I would prefer if it was "drop out of school to become the ruthless ruler of a drug cartel"

No drugs, only cartelling.
Carnage 69
Only telling Cars about Drugs
Sivvah, makes sense
I love this art style, it’s like anime mixed with western show’s like Steven universe. I LOVE THIS
Yeah I love it
Mee tooooo
Yeah same, it kinda reminded me of a mix between "Little Witch Academia" and "Steven Universe"! So fckn cool:D
Half CalArts half Anime
I like to think the girl left the biker gang, but she’s rusty. But it explains why they’re already so chill with the main character. But it also explains their confusion turning to confidence when they get on the bike. The lyrics also can match this story a lot, like “you’re losin yourself with the life that you’re leading..”
