that string compass thing you used to make the ellipse was a joy to watch. what a simple tool.
I am really wondored as well. He does a good work
Regards from Brazil, Nik.
Brisolino
If you get the show The Woodwright’s Shop he has an episode where it explains the use of it he has a UA-cam channel also
That's funny cause when u saw that I literally said that's awesome out loud I had never seen that
Inspiring, relaxing, talented work. Thank you very much!
Nice work!!! No rushing and NO POWER-TOOLS!!! Finally somebody who knows what wood CARVING actually IS!!!!!!
Gorgeous piece of wood mate. Love the bowl to! :)
It looks incredible, good job! Just think it is a bit risky handling liquids so close to a computer...ahah
+Get Hands Dirty you are probably right but no harm was done. i just get carried away when its time to oil. its the best bit.
my anxiety was off the charts when i saw that bit haha
its an oil so it wont damage the electronics of the computer if split
@@arkencraft8095 But can it conduct electricity? Short circuit? Some oils contain electrolytes and can conduct electricity, just like water. Particularly over distances found in PCB's and on microchip pins. Go pour oil in your computer now, see what happens.
@@EscapeePrisoner idk mate, cant remember posting that, was 4 years ago apparently, ik its true that water is not inherently conductive so your probably right
Fantastic to watch! Beautiful finished product!
Beautiful work, sir! Thanks for sharing the video, wonderful work!
That is stunning Kris, You are a real artisan, thank you for showing.
+lynda williams thanks lynda, we are off to wales next week to finish the foundation wall. and i might do some work with the digger as well. then we are going to go in march for a month to hopefully finish the roundhouse. i can't wait to move now.

Absolutely loved this!
Hi Kris, you're creating some beautiful bowls, etc.. Your channel content is inspiring, and motivating me, thanks for sharing.
Lovely work. Enjoyed that!
+Mike DeMan glad you liked mike.
I so love this. I just ordered some tools to start making projects like this, even though I have no idea about carving on wood 🤯 😬but I found out that this is a very cool work to learn. so exited about! wish me luck !
Wow... What a beautiful bowl you've created... So talented...
Wow that bowl is beautiful very very nice workmanship thanks for showing just beautiful....
beautiful bowl! I really like the way you put this video together as well
Wow that is amazing work! :) Thumbs up and Greetings from Ireland ! :)
I was hoping this would be another video on your round house, but this was pretty good as well.
It's mind blowing to me how you can hit with such precision at your age. Typically you'd only see this level precision from older craftsmen. Because of that during this video I kept thinking that you'd mess up an edge of your piece by continuing with the axe for as long as you did. :D
Beautiful bowl!
Gorgeous / Such beautiful craftsmanship ❣
Beautiful work!
for some reason im really satisfied watching these
Your bowls are among some of the nicest Ibe seen on here. The way you find your boards with strong is a new one on me and easiest for me to follow. Thanks for the video. It's too bad you have to work from a storage unit but in a way, it's better. You can leave the chips behind and not take them with you, lol.
That is SUCH a neat trick with the string!
Great job...thanks for the inspiration
Such a good vid Kris man and how far you have come respect
beautiful work bro. that's one big ass bowl
Mad skills with that draw knife.
Much respect, it's beautiful.
You are a master of hand tools, truly a lost art.
Hermoso trabajo, como pájaro carpintero¡¡¡
Felicitaciones y saludos desde Uruguay
Fantastic job!!!
Beautiful job! I liked how you used the string and nails to make the design- a little bit of the old College Algebra and Trigonometry put to use! The grain on that wood was exceptional as well.
Very nice work . Inspired me to start my own set , for my wife . She really loves me making her handmade stuff .i like making it , and looking at it .
Thank you for a fine tutorial! Maybe I could make a project like this for my grandchildren.
Love to see a video on how you sharpen that Pfeil. Also, love the Cresent wrench hammer.
Excellent job . lots of hand work !
Молодец!!! Все руками,как и должно быть от природы,а не механика! За это 👍
Those tools are sharp =) Impressive work.
You Did a fantastic job! And a lot of work
Wow , turned out great
Super nyce. AWESOME job. Very patient and talented.

I just found that strangely therapeutic... ❤️
My hats off to you young man. Bravo
Felicidades, te quedo divina!!!!!!
Simply beautiful~
You are very talented, and that vessel is awesome. I would luv to own such a piece, the spalting is great.
Nice bowl. I would have been tempted to get a different log when I found the rotted bit in the centre but your decision to go ahead worked out.
Haha! You listen to the Ricky Gervais podcast as you work! Awesome. :D
You are very good with your hand tools. I've never seen that string thing before...I will be using it. You can take the sharp edge of a rounded knife, or even a piece of broken glass and scrape wood and get a smother finish than sanding. I use an old stainless steel spoon sharpened on one side. A really outstanding job.
Nota 1000! grande mestre!
wow. so beautiful!!! (and inspiring!) thank you! :)
thanks for showing your talents to the world!😉
Wow this is great!!
Beautiful!
You are a talented person... With your hand made tools you can do many things.. God bless you
beautiful !!!!
Beautiful !!
Absolutely brilliant video will inspire anyone and everyone.
Its fantastic job !
Damn fine work!
That is so beautiful I love it
Good Job. Great explanation re: water flow. Keep up the great research.
Really nice! I'm always surprised to see in these bowl carving videos that no one seems to be using cabinet scrapers to refine the surface. I've had great results using them on my humble projects.
I'm using a custom cabinet scraper on my first carved bowl. Made the scraper in about 5 minutes from a scrap bandsaw blade (3" wide). Layout, snip, file, done. Rolls chips.
Love the vacuum cleaner !
love to see the hand tools being used, thanks.
Incredible!
looks great!
That’s awesome!
gorgeous!
cool dough bowls you are doing it old scholl !!!!
