Big same. Its balance is that it doesn't give -1/-1 counters to creatures (like infect does) nor does it count noncombat sources of damage. Plus you will always give the same amount of poison counters regardless of how much combat damage you deal. In this sense I feel like it's closer to poisonous than infect, although poisonous is a triggered ability but toxic isn't.
@@TheCommanderTavern it was gonna be poisonous originally in design but was changed to toxic to modernize it particularly for arena where if it was a triggered ability it would have become a real pain as it it would have to trigger every time a creature with it hit
@@Cha0sSp3ar Yeah, that make a lot of sense! I wish cards wouldn't be made depending on how they'd work in Arena, though. Otherwise it makes me scream "ARENA!!!!" just like Kirk screams "KHAN!!!"
Arena is a plague on the MTG community. It was ok when the pandem was in full swing, but the problems...just better to play with REAL cardboard and REAL people in person.
@@murphyspell7125 Playing with real people is the experience I prefer as well. I do test all of my decks via Cockatrice but that's just because of convenience.
Honestly, I *never* look forward to how the community reacts 😆 It's almost always negative and mostly calls for bans/changes solely based on speculation and conjecture with 0 basis on testing or anything remotely resembling statistical inference at the very least.
That's odd... I haven't deleted my tapped-out page. I just haven't posted any of the new decks on it. I'm posting on Moxfield now. But all the links on my video descriptions for older decks lists should still be working. Which ones can't you access?
Love this deck!
Thanks! Glad you do!
I do like how Toxic is designed so that you can still pressure your opponent's life totals inaddition to threatening poison counters

It's going to be interesting to see how the community responds to the new "infect" mechanics.

you can also go the ashnod altar + nim deathmantle route for infinite tokens and mana
Yup! Very true.
Did you consider throwing some blink in there? Not only to abuse his etb but also for pseudo protection?
You could definitely add blink effects since they'll always be worth running considering how they synergize with the commander.
Yeah, I do like your brew though!
Did you delete your tapped-out page? I can't access any of your older deck lists:(

@@TheCommanderTavern sorry for the bother, they’re working now so I’m gonna assume it was just a site error yesterday on Tappedouts end. Thank you
@@finnancahill2644 No worries!
Why is no one talking about Yawgmoth here? Sacrifice a mite after attacking and proliferate for 2 black
That's a great suggestion!
@@TheCommanderTavern Thanks my guy, great video!

You talk way too fast. Record 1 sentence after another. Read it slowly
Listen faster.
Listen to my Karumonix video and see if the speed at which I narrate has slowed down.
Watch the video more times!
