I'm looking forward to telling the story of Latham Superchargers...pretty wild that so few were built, even though they were very well promoted and marketed by the big magazines of the '50s and '60s.
I had a 1959 Chevy wagon 235 6 cyl..as a kid, back in 1972. I found a twin single barrel intake with carbs. I ran it in that wagon. Made great HP. I understand at the time it was early corvette manifold. If I only had it now, it's part of History.
This is the Biggest Latham Supercharger l have seen. Have seen quite a few small block versions in Corvettes 327 & The Ford Baby Bird . These Superchargers only rob approx 20hp from the motor . A fella in California bought the rights 2 continue building these . Really Looking 4ward 2 Ur future videos 😅 Robert Australia 🇦🇺
When your supercharger can sound like an air raid siren 👏
I can't even imagine what this thing would sound like at 35,000 rpm.
I’d really like to see more videos of this supercharger
I'm putting together a history video on Latham Superchargers...it's been a fun research project. Should have the video up in the next few days.
That is FUNNY, it is #427 and it fits a Ford Big block.
YES! A very cool coincidence.
That's a really cool piece of history.
I've enjoyed researching it. Pretty wild piece...looking forward to telling its story!
Very interesting! ❤️💯👍
Legendary piece of speed equipment!

DUDE! Those suckers are AWESOME! I can't wait for more about this.
I've really enjoyed researching it. Should be a pretty extensive video.

They made newer ones in the 80's I think. Super bitchin'.
Yes sir, the company sold and the new owner made some newer kits for Camaros and Firebirds.
That's cool, I live near that place
Nice! Wish I could go back in time to see the Latham shop.
Somewhere there's a Dentside Ford with a 390ci FE dying for that unit.
It would be a screamer for sure!
When machines were built by men and engineering required a visionary mind. True science is often Art in design.
Just imagine what they could have accomplished if only they had a robust DEI and HR program. 😩
Yep I'm here for the video on this super charger!
Should have it posted in the next few days...it's been a pretty intense research project.
Definitely want to see more!

Wow, that's a BEAST.
It's an awesome piece...I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to buy one.
Bro id love yo hear that on an FE screaming 😂
Yes, I really want to see and hear this thing running on an engine...couldn't resist the temptation to spin it up with my impact.
Does it function similar to the compressor stage of a turbojet engine?
Exactly.
@@smh9902 ah cool! I didn't want to assume. I know just enough to get myself in trouble
Awesome parts

Awesome
Its like art but better
Agreed! Art that makes noise is always a good thing.
Nice
Lets see it on a 427 in action
So cool
Thanks for watching!
Call me stupid but why does it look like it is mounted in the middle of a boxer engine?
Those are carburetors it’s only the intake no motor
@user-kn8pq9ru7s holy cow. My short search revealed single or dual...but creativity prevails. Thank you.
Easley much more preferred than some plastic type shit made now days.
Agreed! This thing was built super tough.
Put it on one
Kool
Let’s go
One or two on eBay. One has 4 side drafts.
What about Norman superchargers???
Is Norman the Australian fellow? Haven't seen a lot of information about those.
It's RPM, not RPMs
Bearings sound kinda dry
Is it for sale?
Not currently for sale, but I would probably entertain an offer on it. Definitely one of our more expensive pieces in the collection.
