Understanding Chariot Requiem ||Discussing the Musical Influence of Requiem Stands||

- I've always found Chariot Requiem extremely interesting and been wanting to discuss the stand in detail for awhile now. Be it the insane ability of Soul Swapping or the huge influence the story of Mozart's Requiem had on the story of a Requiem Plays Quietly, either way this stand is fantastic.

Really sucks what happened to Polenareff in the end
Stardust Crusades: Loses his sister, his best friend, along with several fingers and toes
Golden Wind: Loses his legs, his eye, his body and finally his Stand.
Poor guy pretty much lost everything.
Don't forget, it's also implied that he lost his parents at some point pre-SDC, since Joseph says he has no family. But that's what's great about Polnareff, he's the ultimate survivor. Nothing, not even death, can stop him from trucking along.
The sad part is he hasn't seen Jotaro or Joseph after SDC. Jotaro never answered when he was being attacked by Diavolo and joseph is senile and might have forgotten about him.
WARNING: Spoilers for Part 6
He'll never see the real Jotaro after part 6 in the original universe.
@@turtlewithatophat5741 Polnareff never called for Jotaro, he knew Diavolo's information network was too wide and would intercept the message.
@@NintendoSegaGuys Geez I need to rewatch lol. But after, I don’t think Jotaro knows he’s a turtle.
Did polnareff even attempt to call Jotaro again once Giorno became the Boss? There would be no reason why he wouldn't.

Chariot Requiem is honestly one of my favorite pre-SBR stands. It's design, ability and fight are all spectacular, mostly because I have a fondness for Jojo's automatic stands, as well as how it feels like less of a fight against Chariot and more of a fight against the concept of fate in a sense.
Just out of curiosity, what IS your favorite stand?

Also that intro music
Oh hell yeah, it's literally a stand where the only way to defeat it is to either kill yourself or damage yourself beyond repair, and thats just how to stop it, it itself can't be stopped, only delayed, no matter how much damage you put into the thing it will fix itself right back up in seconds and keep coming, it also may have the ability to teleport or something to because I remember a scene where it's arm punches out of a lamp post that is away from it's body, and to top it all off you can't even use your stand to fight it. It would be even more terrifying if Polenareff had control of it.
@@Nyghtking yeah physically and mentally

Rumors say that in-order to acomplish the goal of protecting the stand arrow, silver chariot requiem is going to give the stand arrow to Jotaro Kujo (which is the last suviving stardust crusader and the most trusted friend of polnaref)
I know it's a rumour but holy shit that would absolutely make sense
@@johnryu2317 yeah he was going to give the arrow to jotaro but if king crimson hadn't stopped him things would be different
SCR, when it fixes itself, the part being fixed is surrounded with steam (tbh is prob fog from SCR but for the sake of argument, lets say its steam)
Steam is usually related to heat, and chariot is described as a "liquidy plastic" and it is a hot plastic. Hot liquids are less dense than cold liquids, and if chariot is hot enough to make steam than its most likely less dense than ocean water. Chariot was liquidy so that it could float on water to get to jotaro.
That's nothing but a headcanon that fans think is a fact confirmed by Araki. The simplest explanation is that SCR is simply trying to keep the arrow away from Diavolo
@@moderncrusader1150 tbf its just a rumor
So I was thinking about Requiem powers and how they relate to what the user needs/wants at the time, and was wondering about Chariot Requiem, the stand control made sense as he was protecting the arrow from a dangerous stand user, but the bodyswapping seemed kinda odd, especially as it happened twice, then I thought: "Why would Polnareff want to swap bodies? Oh...."
OH MY GOD! YOU HIT RIGHT ON THE FUCKING NOSE!
@Puppy 47 Polneraff probably wanted a body that could move like he used to.

Again, requiems feel like oppositions to their originals. GER is infinite death, base GE is life. Silver Chariot was fast, armored, and precise. SCR was slow, shed it’s armor, completely imprecise with its ability. I can’t figure out any symbolism with the soul swapping, the sleeping and also how it drags souls to the apocalypse.
Also Polnareff was an antagonist until Advol, and SCR turns stands against their users.
You forgot Killer Queen- oh well, well nevermind, since uhh Issa Sub-Stand ability
I mean, I don’t know if I can explain Butes The Dist. Honestly it more or less ties into Kira hiding his identity but if I had to guess, he’s exploding, then reverting said explosion and dragging time with it, similar to a sort of Mini Big Bang I think.
I think it’s creating a Big Bang in which it creates a new universe, creating the timeline the theory. I don’t think it’s a requiem, and if it followed my theory it would’ve actually forced souls to either explode or reproduce at a massive rate and essentially bloating it, and then exploding
GER isn’t infinite death though. GER ability is reverting the action and will of its opponent back to “zero”.
infinite death was just a paradox made up from GER’s ability which i won’t explain due to how complicated it is.
requiem ability is just like a genie wish: the arrow will respond to anyone who deems its “will” strong enough and will grant that “will” through their stand but with several twists added to it.
@@AlterEgo-kun true, but you can also think that GER brings what it punches back from whence it came, back to 0, while Gold Experience brings objects forward from 0, birthing new life from them

If Polnareff was able to control Chariot Requiem i wonder how it would be used
I guess he would use this ability as his only last resort if the fight he faces on requires it. Afterall, the ability is dangerous itself. What I also wonder is that when Giorno stated himself as to not know the full extent of GER's ability, would this mean that SCR would also be like that?
Since it's an unfinished requiem due to polnareff not being mentally/physically strong enough, maybe the ability and appearance would be way different, my guess is that it wouldn't be gooey but instead solid like g.e.r, and would have a look similar to armorless silver chariot. Why? Both s.c.r and g.e.r go through a state where they break their shell in order to evolve, silver chariot requiem was a small excession because they changed their whole body instead of just the armor, but again, unfinished stand.

Two wonder of you's causing calamity
Polnareff's stand in its base form is named after a tarot card
Later, Polnareff becomes a host to Anubis, a stand named after an Egyptian god
Finally, Polnareff gains the power pf Requiem, a musical reference
Polnareff is the only stand user to have all three stand naming conventions. The only one he doesn't have is the pun naming convention, which only Vanilla Ice has with his stand Cream being a joke on Vanilla Ice Cream.
Cream is a double reference. it's also a band name.

I love it's design.
Your theory of the soul swapping being the reason for the sleep like state everyone falls into makes sense as it's very similar to the effect Atum and Osiris had in their victims bodies back in Part 3. The only difference being that no one was awake to observe the condition of the bodies to confirm if they were even alive or breathing
I’ve always wondered, what’s the reason behind Meti talking about Shimoneta at the end of every video?
Wow this is such a big brain video

I AM curious what a fight would be like between this stand and d4c , both mess with dimensions and people's souls

I have noticed something about Chariot Requiem's animation in the Anime. Just like how Miles Morales was animated on 2s until he got more experience to which he was animated on 1s, Chariot Requiem's animation is kind of jittery and feels incomplete. It isn't as fluid as Silver Chariot's movement or any other Stand. It moves almost on 4s. The animation feels so incomplete, just like Mozart's Requiem.
Chariot requiem reminds me of the album cover of Operation Ivy
I just assumed it was named after the King Crimson song Requiem.

I still think killer queen deserves to be recognized as the first requiem stand
@JoGeJo star platinum always had the ability to stop time killer queen is just in a class of its own
@JoGeJo This. Bites the Dust isn't even a transformation, it's just a sub-ability of Killer Queen, whereas Chariot and Gold Experience both have massively augmented Requiem forms.
@JoGeJo star platinum was foreshadowed to be able to stop time tho
@JoGeJo Wasn't it foreshadowed at the beggining of Part 3 with the tarot, where Jotaro tried to pick up the "The World" card, but ended up getting Star Platinum later?
No
YES YES YES YES
YES!
Fun fact: the song requiem by Mozart is what plays in the pingu noot noot meme
Hey meti, since we only get to see chariot req, what would you suppose Silver Chariot Req would act like?
A (fixed?) Chariot requiem?
imo, and since Requiems reflect the user's strongest wish (for Polnareff it was a mix of having a healthy undamaged body, thus the body swap, and protect the arrow, thus the stands turning against the users), if he were able to control Chariot Requiem and obtain Silver Chariot Requiem, the soul swapping thing wouldn't happen (because he would have a strong body to control him) but the whole stand-turning against the user would remain except Polnareff would decide who to affect.
Alternatively, if the soul swapping remained, maybe Polnareff could have control over whose souls would change
Edit: punctuation mistakes

If we think about chariot requiem is the most op stand being able to dominate over living souls bascually means no one can hurt you not even stand users cause stands are the physically manifestation of your souls so he can basically control your stand and its abilities yall can debate me on this
Stands that have some personality might be able of resisting chariot requiem ability, like how six pistols did, it only affected 1 or maybe colony stands, or maybe both who knows
@@DB-fh7by can you explain how they have personalitys
@@Milwaz34 they make interactions, hell they even talk and think by themselves
