Ok, so Jaz is struggling a small bit, Youth is having his own internal party. Big Paul and Geordie are impeccable . Still as relevant as ever. see you at the Albert Hall in March. or as Jaz says " if we make it"
R.I.P Geordie. Blew my brains out in 1983, Ashton-u-Lyne Metro, stared at me throughout the gig, his guitar wiped out any ideas I had of what a guitarist was, how a guitar sounded and made me R.I.P all my rock LP.s. He scared and intimidated me with his presence and sound when I was still, but inbetween moments of stillness I just danced and didn't give a feck. I was 17, spikey hair, proto goth make up, first gig and the loudest beauty I have ever heard, At the end of the gig he was still staring at me, a strange awkward infinity passed and he then burst a smile my way and gave me a nod. R.I.P you, I know I am not alone in having experienced the majesty of your art. Thank you.
Jaz : "With the whole tradition of Killing Joke, I’ve really got Geordie [Walker, guitar] to thank for most of this because he’s been the only other person -apart from myself- that’s attended every single Killing Joke event and concert in our entire history. He’s possessed of such tenacity that he just keeps creating, and he cares not for money; you can’t BUY Geordie Walker. And he only wants to play with one band. And I understand why he only wants to play with this one band because I only want to sing with one band! Because I don’t find any other musicians capable of sitting ‘round a table, and going from a in-depth discussion on world politics, geopolitics, moving to poetry, reciting it from memory, moving to earth science, moving to theology, philosophy, or surrealism in art, you name it - all of us can move with great ease in all these areas. We can discuss the various stages of magic from Shamanism, to Wicca, to Hermeticism, to Rosicrucianism, to Illuminism, to Chaos Magick - and have strong opinions about all of these things! My bandmates can discuss any political system on planet Earth, and they’ve had first-hand experience in all of it." hellbound.ca/2010/11/jaz-coleman-interview/

Best f**king band in the world. Bar none. The band I loved most as a teenager around 1984 still sound vital today. Hell, all the stuff Jaz was warning us about back in the 1980s seems completely true today.
My friend told me in the 80s about Killing Joke and how good they were - I first seen them play live in the 80s at the Astoria in London which unfortunately later got knocked down for Crossrail - I went to see the show with a complete open mind and was completely blown away for it was a totally brilliant show - The place was hoping from the front to the back - Jaz Coleman had the whole crowd in the palm of his hand - It felt like a communion of people in one merry tribal war dance - They had fire eaters on the stage which added to the drama - I knew I watching an exceptional band that had their own unique sound fronted by a great showman singer - Jaz was possessed with hypnotic powers.... I was very saddened by the passing of Kevin "Geordie" Walker - What a unique guitarist who was central to that Killing Joke sound - Nirvana were huge fans of the Killing Joke and made no secret of running with some of those guitar riffs.
Jaz coming to the stage and announcing we’re at the beginning of WW3… No news has provided us with such info. Spot on. Life is better with Killing Joke.

What an amazing set that was! Best band of the whole weekend for me. Late Night Drinkers Club approves!!!!!!!!!
My bandmates can discuss any political system on planet Earth, and they’ve had first-hand experience in all of it."

Great to see this slotted in here too. If I was put on a medieval rack and made under extreme duress that I have a favourite - it would be Change. It is a command to us all that is always urgent. Killing Joke are on the side of Gaia
Awesome 👍👍👍
Wow
What a performance.
To catch Joke at their very is indeed a experience you will never forget.

The band I loved most as a teenager around 1984 still sound vital today. Hell, all the stuff Jaz was warning us about back in the 1980s seems completely true today.
Agreed!
Oh hell yeah, TY for posting this. I was looking and waiting since summer!

Youth looks so out of place in his Hunter Thompson 2.0 attire 😄

This band changed my life after pandemonium..
İ will miss Geordie so much.
Youth is loving it.Amazing band.
If I reach this age, I want to be as intense as Jaz and Walker in this show. WHAT A MASSIVE SOUND !
this is musical evolution in perfection !!! no "back to roots bullshit " or something just 40 years of greatness
It's fun playing "spot the riff" in Geordie's guitar interludes: Come As You Are (of course), Day Tripper, the Third Man theme..?
I was so incredibly thankful that I got to be there for this. I never thought that I’d get the chance to see Killing Joke.
Big Paul... faaark!! how good.
RIP Geordie, this hurts.

Jaz coming to the stage and announcing we’re at the beginning of WW3… No news has provided us with such info. Spot on. Life is better with Killing Joke.
