    Pleeeease everyone I'm writing this with love, because I've been there too recently and they were big mistakes, 1) stop operating under the assumption you'll get money that isn't in your bank account yet. 2) stop seeing your jobs as safe, no matter who you report to, how long you've been there, how important and irreplaceable you are to other people in your company. When the investors say costs need to be cut tomorrow, you WILL be let go!! Believe me! You could be working for the CEO and be doing 200% and everyone in the company knows your name and you did wonderful things, and still be laid off. Same with relationships I'm sorry to say: love your partner but put your financial wellbeing first, because things can go from perfection to disaster reeeeally fast and you want to be protected. ❤ I'm fighting to stick to these principles myself and not repeat past mistakes.

      Thank you for this, especially the job part. It’s so very important that people put themselves first before these jobs because these jobs have screwed people over and ruined lives. People need to put themselves first more often and remember there’s no true security unless you work for yourself. Even then, you still need to work hard and build something that’ll last.

      Agreed girl! Never put your life or your kids life in the hands of any job, person, group, organization, society, etc. Nothing is guaranteed so always make sure you are using your money INTENTIONALLY. Doesn’t mean you can’t have fun or do things but use it with intention, plan ahead, don’t spend what you don’t have, and save as much as you reasonably can. Also, help yourself before you try helping others.

      @@rachelesmith3342 heavy on the intentional part. Being young and dumb has consequences and being a 21 year old living alone, I’ve definitely had to learn the hard way that emotional spending will kick you in the butt! I’m getting myself in order now and have learned my lesson and I’ll keep learning as long as I don’t have to struggle unnecessarily like I did these past few months!

    This is definitely a perspective thing. That $65,000 seems like a ton to us, but you can tell based on what she did and how easily she talked about it, that she'll be paying that off in 2-3 years just like she says. This is a person with money. It's not the insane life-changing debt it would be for others, this is a bump in the road for her.

    • @Souls-at-zer0
      @Souls-at-zer0 3 місяці тому +52

    • @MissMosierable
      @MissMosierable 3 місяці тому +77

      She has broke mindset. She'll never really have money with how she is. She will only look like she has money. She'll pay that $65,000 off, but it will take her a few years to save 6 months of salary for a REAL emergency and not touch it. Then she needs to pay off the cars ASAP and save money for new ones. She also needs to save for retirement and if possibly college for kids. She won't be a person "with money" until she has fun money saved AND all of her obligations saved for (Like debt paid off--cars and house paid off, retirement funded, college funded, vacations funded etc). If she has to use loans or credit to buy stuff, she doesn't have money. People who have money have an emergency fund for emergencies AND they have a spending g fun for things like paying off debt and house renovations. They don't have hopes they'll get a bonus and put emergency money back. People who break into emergency savings for a tunny tuck don't have money. They jave a poor mindset on a bigger scale than the person making $18 an hour spending more than they make because they like to get door dash a few times a week.

      daycare isn’t just about someone to watch the kids when you can’t. daycares aren’t just babysitters these days. they are treated like school, and kids get valuable developmental/educational benefit. the kids develop friendships and socialize. pulling kids out of daycare once they’ve been established there, can cause setbacks developmentally and socially. pulling them out would also mean losing their spot at the daycare, and then they’d need to go back on waiting lists for spots once she gets her job back.

Credit cards are being hyped, the interest rates are high, and everywhere you go, they will pitch how you get money back and percentages off. All the while knowing they've just enhanced their bottom line. As an old head, add to your strategy understand what it means for your retirement years. Get into a (free) retirement course NOW. There are strategies that the government doesn't want you to know about taxes in retirement. Roths and 401K's can be beneficial, only if you plan early. my parents condemn me & my sister for not being in better financial situations by now, but even with ignoring how they've repeatedly sabotaged us, the world is completely different now & their circumstances were also not the standards they expect from us. my mom was groomed as a minor by someone 20 years older than her, had 5 kids, lived in debt horribly until meeting my stepdad. my stepdad ditched highschool with no diploma or GED, worked at radioshack for a bit & then happened to meet some guywho needed a techy guy for his job. now he makes 3 figures a year, has a house & is a landlord for two more, he erased my mom's debt when they got married, too.
      they have never extended their wealth to us, even in emergencies like dental care, or help with vehicles so we can get to work & not keep pouring thousands into junkers cuz we can never afford lumpsums to buy a decent enough car that only needs minimal maintenance repairs.
      they have delusional expectations that they didn't even live by, out of touch of reality but condemn us none the less. no idea what to do to make them see it. anyone can be a judgemental hateful person.

    I just put $2100 in car repairs on a credit card that is interest free until august 2025 and it stresses me out. I can’t even imagine what this feels like. But I suppose to certain people such extreme debt is normal.

    She said she was without a job for 7 months... WHY are her kids in daycare!???
    WHY is she spending money in unnecessary beauty items, such as those eyebrows, those lip fillers, those teeth whitening sessions, those expensive fake nails, those other fillers around her face being a young wrinkle-free woman???? I'm a single mom of 4 and I don't dye my hair, I can not afford nails or pedicures, I can barely afford some make-up items from Wal-Mart and I do not wear it daily, perhaps once or twice per month, that's just me. Sometimes, I can barely afford electricity, so I really do not understand all these little "luxuries" some people give themselves such as nails and pedicures.😢

    I had 36k in debt on credit cards... once you're charged 18-29% interest a month, you know you have to get it paid. I got a 2nd job, opened a new account & saved 14k-21k a year form 2nd job. I lived off my 1st job income 36k paid my living expenses which is about 24-29k yr & 2nd job income went straight to cards..
    Took me 2 years to pay off. Now I still work 2 jobs & 2nd job income gets used on inflation.

    I had to go through bankruptcy and lost my house to get the wakeup call. Now my car is 2nd hand and paid off, and ONE credit card with a $500 limit. I am doing fine with less. Material possessions can be lost in an instant, put your priorities in those you love.

    I told my husband that, I hate vacations now because you always have to come back and face reality.
    I also told him I’m against credit cards, they almost ruined my life when I was a young adult.

    With her earning potential, I am getting the impression that $65k is not the deal it would be to most. She said it's a few months for her to pay off. She goofed, but can actually recover with another job in her field.

      It won’t matter if she doesn’t change her behavior making money doesn’t mean anything if not being spent wisely spending all her savings was dumb

      Doesn't matter because she can dig herself even deeper if they don't change this behaviour. Them making that much means they should have put enough aside (without using it in anticipation of a bonus) for at least a year of unemployment. There have been many who had even higher earning potential and ended up completely broke

    Moral of the story: Don't ever spend money you don't have! Credit card is NOT the money you own. Don't adjust your money to your life style (specially if you don't have money :'D), but adjust your life style to your income/money you own. Thank you for the video! This is really great video ❤️
