I’m surprised the scene from ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN scene where Charlie says goodbye to Ann-Marie, because if you watch the scene and learn what happened to Ann-Marie’s voice actress the scene is a whole lot of tearshed
Widow Tweed's monologue makes Tod's abandonment all the more heartbreaking. Because even though she wasn't abandoning Tod because she didn't want him anymore, It was obvious that she didn't want to let Tod go but knew she had to because it was for his own safety. That doesn't make it right sure, But at least it shows that not everyone abandons their pets for cruel reasons. As that particular scene from TFTH shows, Even for pets and their owners sometimes life just deals a bad hand.
My absolute worst is Dumbo being rocked in his mom’s trunk while she’s locked up and then being ripped away. The whole movie is tragic, but that scene is devastating.
That Toy Story ending hits different as a millennial going off to college at that same time after growing up with it. That "so long, partner" is so damn personal. Gets me every single time.
Totally, since in that 1st goodbye after Moses accidentally killed the Egyptian as he was exiling himself, Ramses said please for Moses to say (Cause deep down Ramses really see him as a brother) till Moses heartbroken said goodbye brother to him.
@@TheImaginator972 Especially the first goodbye. With this one 'please' there's so much emotions... I just can't, what a brillant voice acting by Val Kilmer and Ralph Fiennes.
For me, I always find that the scene in Kung Fu Panda 2, when Po’s mother had to say goodbye to her baby Po before she sacrificed herself to save him difficult to watch. 🐼 😢
BingBongs disappearing took me clean out like I knew that man personally. The Irong Giant got me too but at least at the end of the movie there's hope for him.
I remember probably 2-3 years ago I was at our family friend’s house and our friend’s daughter came over with her son. They put on Toy Story 3 for him to watch. I ended up paying more attention to it then he did 😂 I was probably 17-18. Watching Toy Story 3 and specifically the scene where Andy gives up his toys…watching it at the same age that Andy is in the movie….realizing that I’m growing up and my life will change drastically once I move away from my family, remembering all the many toys that I’ve gotten rid of over the years…I had tears streaming down my cheeks and then walked into the bathroom almost full on sobbing.
In university, the Jungle book was on as a matinee, so I took a couple of friends to go see it. My buddy's girlfriend Theresa hadn't seen it before. We were surrounded by parents with pre-school age kids in the theatre. As the movie started, Theresa whispered to me "Is this gonna be just like Bambie?" I nodded. When Shere Khan put Baloo down with a punch, a child said out loud "Mommy? Is Baloo dead? You heard every child and parent hold their breath waiting for the answer. I looked at Theresa: tears were running down her face. When Baloo opened his eyes, the kids cheered. But the loudest sound of all was Theresa punching me in the chest and yelling "You Bastard!".
What Up did in the first 10 minutes was incredible. To go through a complete journey with the joy of love and the sadness of death so quickly... I was not prepared for that.
We had a row of early teen girls behind us talking and laughing throughout the start. When the miscarriage scene hit, they were absolutely gutted, and thankfully, quiet for the rest of the movie. Outstanding writing and movie making.
Po's flashbacks of his mom- Kung Fu Panda 2 Citizens accidently hurting or killing people- Justice League Dark All the lazy fitless humans in space for a long time: WALL-E John's Green Lantern ring fell on the ground instead of finding a new host- Justice League Dark Apokolips War
Wow 😭 Riley growing up scene and Emily growing up scene right next to each other! MsMojo us hitting us in the feels over growing up and leaving our childhood behind real hard
I can't help being a little disappointed that "The Fox and the Hound" (1981) is the oldest movie represented on this list, even though I can't dispute the inclusion of any of this list's specific scenes. But older animated films did have their tearjerking moments as well. "Baby Mine" from Dumbo, anyone? Grumpy weeping beside Snow White's bier? The list compares the death of Bambi's mother, er, unfavorably to Mufasa's death in The Lion King, but I would argue that the former scene is just as painful to watch, precisely because we DON'T see her dead body; Frank Churchill's score really twists the knife. The scenes the video mentions are quite good, but let's give the oldies some love, too.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron has a few that always make me ugly cry....watching Spirit be dragged away from his herd & family, by colonial soldiers near the beginning of the film; his & his mothers pained cries are so heartbreaking. And then when Rain is shot & in immense pain, later on & the heartbroken Spirit lies with her, to keep her company thru the night...before being dragged off by soldiers AGAIN and forced to abandon her to a probable death, all alone. Even tho she ends up found, saved, & cared back to health by Little Creek in the end, the heartbreak & grief on those animated horses faces in that moment are so raw and hard to watch. The movie has so little dialogue but the animators sure worked overtime to properly depict such intense emotions.
Disney really knows how to punch you right in the heart ... hell I've even cried during almost every single tv show finale ... I know as soon as I'm going to see a Disney movie I bring extra tissues with me because I will cry at some point ... ive even seen grown men cry at certain Disney movies/shows 😭 really sucks that Disney blames himself for his mother's passing and that's why he almost always pays tribute to her by a parent passing
Before watching, mufasa 💀, leaving Todd, wreck it Ralph smashing the cart, dory speech to marlin, remember me coco, there's a few from toy story, monsters inc saying by to boo, Bing bong take her to the moon and joy helps anxiety, ray the lightning bug would be my top 10 not in any order
Frollo's rampage on Paris and seeing his racism and hatred being displayed in Disney's Hunchback of Norte Dame and when he tries to burn Esmeralda at the stake.
Mine would probably be let it go sence because when I was so little it was scared because of the way Elsa was treated and shows on the hardship she went through 😢😢 ❄️❄️
What about: .The Beasts Death-Beauty and the Beast .My Mother- The Chipmunk Adventure .SpongeBob and Patrick dry up-The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie .Latios death-Pokémon Heroes: Latios and Latias .Sully Scares Boo-Monsters Inc .Coral Sacrifices Herself-Finding Nemo
Disney in the 1940s: We should make a movie where the main character’s mother gets brutally killed while the child runs around calling out for them and traumatizes children for decades to come Disney in the 1990s: What should we do with this movie? Well…we could always go back to that very effective “killing the parent off in a traumatic way scarring children for generations to come” solution. I mean people who saw Bambi when it came out and everyone who’s seen it since have always been traumatized and haunted by Bambi’s mother’s death. We should do the exact same thing only with a father! I love it! How about we make it Shakespearean and have his brother kill him and then lie blaming the death on the child. Therefore leaving the child with the unbearable weight of thinking he’s the reason his father died for years to come! PERFECT! Children will absolutely be scarred by that!
I’m glad you included Nimona because it’s a beautiful film, an allegory for LGBT+ youth and adults who are ostracized by their families and society for not being “normal” 😢
@@carminecdinoproductions i’m sorry of you got a bit confused I remember seeing the lion King movie with my Mamaw and it stinks hack it had the song can you feel the love tonight in the daytime it honestly made no sense I mean it’s not cold can you feel the love today

Gurgi's Sacrifice [The Black Cauldron] and Littlefoot's Mother's death [The Land Before Time].
I’m surprised the scene from ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN scene where Charlie says goodbye to Ann-Marie, because if you watch the scene and learn what happened to Ann-Marie’s voice actress the scene is a whole lot of tearshed
Yeah so heartbreaking 💔 😢❤
You know what that’s one of the scenes I was thinking of
Riley's anxiety attack (Inside Out 2)
Sully says goodbye to Boo (Monsters Inc)
Po's mother (Kung Fu Panda 2)

The reasons don't matter, Abandoning a pet is cruel period.
'She never woke up' punched my heart harder than anything I've ever seen in media full stop.
My absolute worst is Dumbo being rocked in his mom’s trunk while she’s locked up and then being ripped away. The whole movie is tragic, but that scene is devastating.
Mama Coco remember her dad still gets me 😢😢😢😢😢
I didn't cry, but I understood "El Dia de Los Muertos" better.
That Toy Story ending hits different as a millennial going off to college at that same time after growing up with it. That "so long, partner" is so damn personal. Gets me every single time.
I would also add Moses and Rameses 2 goodbye from "The Prince of Egypt", and Stoick's death from "How to train Your dragon 2"
Stoicks death shocked the heck out of me. Completely stunned. Also Prince of Egypt highly under appreciated…good call.

The sacrifice at the end of Watership Down. Talk about a moment Gen X never forgets.

When I look at fox being abandoned, I think of my poor dog next to me. Tears welled up.
The last line 'When she loved me' melts me immediately even in my cheerful moments 4:08

Iron giant got me tearing up.
The Iron Giant's death REALLY broke me, my mom and my sister when we 1st watched it.
Nimona deserved to be higher because god, that movie is so beautiful and underrated and made me ugly cry 😭

I knew that Grave of the Fireflies would be on this list. It's one of those movies you can only watch once.
Agreed.
As a child in the 50s - 60s, I cried more over Lassie and Disney's "Annette" series than I did over any animated feature film except...Bambi.
Triton destroying all of Ariel's treasures in the 1989 Little Mermaid especially with a horroified Ariel begging hin to stop.
Wasn't there a list similar to this called Movie Moments That Made Us Ugly Cry, or something like that?
No.
That Fox And The Hound one being hard to watch is totally right. I avoided that scene for years despite having it on TV
