I feel so good after knowing both the families chose their child's happiness over annyyythiing. Brown parents are not like this normally. They'll tell you they love you more than anything but at the same time they will be so ready to disown you if you want to marry someone out of your caste/religion/country.❤️❤️

I live in America and my parents are still like guy from India.. caste caste.. and they look at professions and were South Indian.. so a lot less modern. And they’re so religious and traditional 😔
Depends from state to state. Some states like Tamil Nadu are extremely restrictive as 97% of the marriages there are between members of the same caste. Meanwhile other states such as Punjab, Maharashtra, Kerala and Meghalaya are much more progressive, one out of every five marriage here is intercaste so the idea of intercaste marriage has been normalised to a certain degree.

Parents who raise their children in the "western" world know how difficult it is to find someone who "loves" their child and is slightly related to their cultures. Here it is Reza's and Puja's love that won over all differences if any. God bless your family and let your family be an example for all "brown" folks out there. Times have changed parents, love is a very rare thing to find in the "marriage market".. 😂😂

Firstly from external experience: It can be really hard to get accepted immediately into a family as a female. I loved how Reza’s parents conversation about Puja was so loving and warming. I also love how both parents took happiness over cultural matters. I also love Puja and Reza’s relationship; they’re so cute and she’s gives off thus positive and happy aura when she’s around him and his family. I really hope Allah blesses them with a happy and loving life along with their little one, I’A - Ameen.

I absolutely love how Puja's father, Mr. Tailor is such a good narrator. Also the point about his girlfriends, takes a lot of courage to be so honest. Maybe a future video idea could be if he could share how he met Puja's mother.
Okay this video is important on another level. More than anyone I think parents need to watch this. The way they talk about prejudices back home influencing decisions speaks for a lot of people out there. It wasn’t until you actually sit and talk to people that you realise that there are so many similarities and the differences can be celebrated. It is difficult but not impossible.

It’s beautiful to see this kind of relationships between both families. We are hindu as well but from Sri Lanka once my mom told me that her cousin brother was raised by her mother, he fell in love with a muslim woman and got married to her. Unfortunately, he was disowned by my grandmother and she didn’t speak to him until his death.

Puja and Reza, you guys are so lucky to have families like this.
This would have been great if Reza and his family actually took on and allowed Hindu traditions, but looking over there videos it's very one sided , as much as the families don't look religious you still see Islamic tradition but not her personality based on her faith, unless she does not keep a faith or Hindu traditions, but then it would be even more weird as in other videos she takes on Islamic tradition.
Nobody knows if they aren't allowing it or not, and nobody knows about their religious situation. I feel like they would have had these conversations before they got married so its probably best to not assume stuff. Also we don't know if they do any other Islamic traditions other than celebrating Eid. They have also celebrated Diwali and had a Godh Bharai which is more of an Indian thing.

Very happy for both of your families...I fell in love with this girl in college her family was from Lahore....once they found out about us they shipped her back..when I went to go visit her found out she was getting married...so yeah had to move on haven’t heard from her since this was back in 2006 wonder how she is doing..ughhh at any rate life moves on...kudos to your parents!
