Really thoughtful to keep some of the original stuffing, I like it.
Thank you! He has his own history with his stuffing so I didn't want to throw it all away, but I definitely didn't want his old stuffing when I snuggle with him XD
the glow up was immaculate!! also this was kinda relaxing to watch, you should like do some ASMR sometime uwu
Lol I would love to do more of this stuff, I can't stand whispering though so I'll stick to washing old babies XD ;-;
Yes
you have more guts than i do....i only surface clean my stuffies. i do let them sit a few days in baking soda before hand...but i don't have the guts to remove the stuffing and wash then fully... what a great job.
hes so cute!💖 its really nice to see the process of the make over
Only thirty dollars? Where do you find this stuff?!
he’s so adorable but
brain heart 😳
Lol
Thank you for this video!! I recently found an old monkey rubber face plush fellow and I used your video to figure out what to do!
THIS IS MY DREAMMMMM RUSHTON/ rubber face if you ever find another one or something like that, PLEASE let me know, thank you, as always I love your videos 💖 I still watch them 2 years later 😊
I just found my first rubber faced toy, a “My Toy Co” skunk from about 1966! I’ve been into thrifting and restoring my whole life but just started becoming interested in toys and kitsch decor, I always wanted to collect them but never found any, and finally did at 22! I didn’t even think of restoring the cutie I found but now I think I will, it seems fun💖!! I love your video and I’m excited and hope this becomes a hobby for me, it’s so sweet and pure and harmless😭💖
Loved this video so much!!! So jealous you found a rushton baby at a local thrift store! Definitely inspired me to go look ☺️☺️☺️
You have to be careful with fabric softener. It can turn mohair green
he is SOOOOO CUTEEEE
Love! You did such a wonderful job. Yay for pink!
I think he is a Chubby Tubby Bear by The Rushton Company,or you cam check the forehead, they sometimes have something that says "The Rushton Co." in the head
Can you do this to bears that still have the original stuffing in them? I'm unfamiliar how to sew very well so I'd feel uncomfortable unstitching them. Thanks!
Very cure ❤🐻 Fun to see you bring new life to old plushies.
He looks fantastic, nice work!
Cutest doll ever
Beautiful restoration job. You're right about the bear being vintage 1950's - I have some childhood toys that are very similar. I'm going to try some of your techniques. My childhood stuffed toys were in a garage fire, although the flames never got to them. There's only a hint of smoke residue on them. I don't know whether I will be successful or not, but I'm going to give it a try.
MAKE MORE OF THIS VIDEOS I LOVE IT AHHH!!!!💗💗💗💗👑
awesome! i have some i wanted to clean but didnt know how too without damaging it.
I'm glad it was helpful :D Just please be careful with fabrics like red and black as the dye may leech >.> I know this from experience!
@@Rendds thank you! do you know if this method would work for these two plushes?

How to clean the rubber face without removing the paint?
AAAH we have the same bunny!!! I see you have a little bunny sitting on your shelf in the background, and it looks just like mine! I named mine Weiss🌼
I WANT SPOOKY:(
Merry Christmas Rendds.
Merry Christmas love!
@@Rendds and a Happy New year!
Yesss. Swirl him in the potion.
He is sweet.
Rushton are marked under the chin on rubber part of face - will have raised letters saying Rushton.
This not a bear this is the cat
Hey, I absolutely adore these sorts of dolls and so I thought you'd might like to check out this Rushton website.
rushtontoys.wordpress.com
It talks about the dolls and their histories and shows some catalogues and such.
Also, maybe try to research dolls by Knickerbocker or Gund (companies that also made similar dolls), because your doll might have been created by another company that makes rubber face dolls.
P.S. I really loved your DIY rubber face doll video! I'd love to see another doll video like that. I've taken to trying to shape faces out of clay to put into the plushies since I can't find any rubber faces.
Any tips on reversing color bleeding
Why does that toy look so cursed?…….
I have a really old rushton toy who’s actually perishing. Little tiny bits of his fur comes off just by holding him. He’s extremely dirty. Is there anyway I can clean him?? Can anyone recommend anything? Or is he just too fragile to clean
@Goosetooth I tried wiping him gently but his fur was just coming off with it. He’s that fragile. Thank you anyway though!
@@Bellasretro probably have to replace the fur
This is so helpful thank you so much because i have a little rushton dog on the way!
What happened to your ''Teddy" video?
