- This High Class Loser shows you how to remove the fuel tank trim, a trick / tip to getting around removing the fuel tank, remove the air filter box and how to sync the throttle bodies using a Carbtune Pro on a 2017 Yamaha FJ-09, the FZ-09 will be a very similar process for removing the fuel tank but an identical process for syncing the throttle bodies
This adjustment was done at 2,700km, a touch over but as you'll see... not much was out of sync.

I did a throttle body sync and replaced the spark plugs on my '17 tracer the other day. Wouldn't have started if this video hadn't been youtube. Thanks a lot!

Let me second what Guido says - thanks for posting this easy to follow video. I need to do this service and plugs on my 17 too. Just received a sync tool, so the fun will begin soon! The plugs I hear are a bit of a pain to get to, too bad you sold your FJ before making a video for them too. I am a fellow Calgarian, I hear what you are saying about the cost of servicing! I take three, four times longer than you probably would but at least it is done and I know how it was done for a fraction of the cost.
@@richardcoates1731 It's a pain in the ass to get the coils out. Just wiggle them back and forth and rotate them and you will get them out. For the plugs you will need a very particular length extension. Mine were either to long or to short before I found the right size at a neighbours shed. Good luck!

Great vlog man I like that carb sync tool I have the gauges one. I remember always syncin my carbs on the old school inline 4s also cool no1 skull derby cover on the dyna have fun bro
I like how easy it is to read, I've used the gauge setup on carbs before and I found this tool showed it way better!

I keep a little pack of them in the tool box just in case now!
3/16 4.7mm size. You'll need them on older bike. Mine 2016 and 2/3 where already broke.

Looks like you didn't have the restrictors in the Carbtune tool pipes ... ?
I have the restrictions in place, and my Carbtune looks very similar to his when I sync my XSR900

Its the exact same engine and transmission my man. So the tools will work on yours as well
That looked like it was a pain in the butt. As I get older, I don’t have the patience to do that anymore. It sure is much easier working on a cruiser.
It goes the same on asian vehicles man haha everything is overlapping and takes tiny hands to get in there. Have you done this to your FJ yet?
