**Trying to conceive with irregular periods**
Periods are said to be regular if they come every 28 to 30 days. They are said to be irregular if they are shorter or longer than that. Women who have irregular periods are often found to not be ovulating or maybe ovulating infrequently or irregularly. In either case, it can be more difficult to get pregnant.
They to getting women with irregular periods pregnant is to get them ovulating. There are a few different ways to do that.
The best way is to identify the reason why ovulation is not happening and fix it. There are many types of problems which can interfere with ovulation that are fixable. For example, when the thyroid is underactive or overactive, that will interfere with ovulation. Medication can be given to correct either situation. Another type of problem is caused when the pituitary gland produces too much of a hormone called prolactin. This can also be controlled with medication and result in ovulation and pregnancy. There are many more examples, so you should complete an anovulation panel with your fertility specialist.
Sometimes, however, the cause for an ovulation problem can’t be found or can;t be fixed. In that situation, fertility medications can be used to produce ovulation. Fertility medications are divided up into two categories: oral medications and injections.
Oral medications such as Clomid or Letrozole are easy to use and inexpensive but not as effective as injectable fertility medications. Injections, such as Follistim or Gonal F will get more women to ovulate and more of them will get pregnant but there is a big downside - there is a much higher risk for multiple pregnancy. They need to be used cautiously and in some cases should be skipped altogether.

I’ll be 29 October this year. I have very very bad irregular periods since I started having a period when I was 12. I can go 7 months or more without ever having a period. My last period was June of last year. I have been on birth control in the past to help regulate my periods. My fiancé and I would like to try for a baby either later this year or sometime next year. But with my very bad irregular periods we didn’t know if it would be possible for me to still get pregnant. My doctor told me two years ago I could still get pregnant but I would just have to try a lot. I did do blood work to see why I have irregular periods but doctor never said anything bad about blood work.

Where are clinics doing PRP in the UK? I have heard of a PRP clinic in Athens, Genesis, but I would prefer a UK or US clinic. I am still cycling but really old now, though did have five miscarried pregnancies age 40 to 45. I have tried blood thinning, and steroid cycles. All eleven natural conceptions, with worst losses at 11 to 15 weeks in size...three at 14.5 week fetal size. My son will be 18 soon.

I'm crying I just saw this video I feel like there's no hope. They've checked my hormone levels tsh, fsh, androgen, vitamins etc.. nothing was found wrong. I've had scans and everything has looked "essentially unremarkable". But my periods are lasting a month. I've been trying norethindrone to shorten and it has worked. But now I haven't had my period for almost 2 months!! I just don't know what to do anymore :( it all started after coming off nexplanon in November 2020. I just want to know what is wrong!!

I went to a private hospital and i was diagnosed of having PCOS , later I went to a Teaching Hospital as directed by a doctor and I was diagnosed of having Premature Ovarian Failure. Folic acid is to guard against neural tube defects in the developing fetus- it is recommended women begin taking this at least three months before trying to conceive, and they should take it throughout the pregnancy. It does not affect fertility.

I would say its not the amount of eggs available BUT quality of them... In this case SIZE is what matters... They would usually give meds to "make them ripe"

We would recommend that you ask your doctor to evaluate you. Clear vaginal discharge is normal however
