- President William Ruto arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Friday evening for a two- day State visit.
The plane carrying the President, First Lady Rachel Ruto and their entourage touched down at Joshua Nkomo International Airport shortly after 4pm local time.
President Ruto was received by his host President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The Head of State received a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour mounted by Zimbabwe Defence Forces at the airport.
The President and the First Lady will be hosted for a State Dinner by President Mnagangwa at State House, Bulawayo this evening.
President Ruto will be the Chief Guest at the 64th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo on Saturday (tomorrow).
Dr Ruto's tour of Zimbabwe is aimed at bolstering political, economic and socio-cultural ties between the two countries.

President William Ruto I have a serious question people in Kenya is suffering lots and lots of rain it's flooding the country plus they need financial assistance they need food etc etc you are the president of the country of Kenya can you find it in your heart to help this people they need food I been praying that the rain stops what is wrong with the government of Kenya he not helping his people I have a good good friend from Kenya I know the family and I feel sad cause this people is suffering I saw the video of the flood and see how people's loosing their cars and trucks cause of the flood this people needs serious help the government needs to help his people with food and financial if I had millions of dollars I will help those people but I don't I am asking you for help for this people plus their homes is flooded in it's sad really sad find it in heart heart to help this people from Kenya sometimes I send money to my friend and her family so they can buy food to eat you are the president tell the government to help his people with assistance hate to see the way they suffer they need support please find it in your heart to help those people I gonna pray that the rain stops in Kenya that's all I can do you can do more you are the president and those people in Kenya is your responsibility I pray that you can help them don't let them suffer may God be with his people and touch yours and the government heart in Jesus mighty name 🙏
