Glad you said that about the spray. Liquid spray is mainly good for nests on the outside of the house. Also, if you are going to try to kill them on your own when the nest is small you should wait until dark when they are all back in the nest to kill them.
Use the powder that comes in the squeeze bottle with the straw. Go at night, when the little shits are asleep, stick the straw all the way into the nest, and puff repeatedly as you pull it slowly out. Leave a big pile in the entranceway. They won't know what hit them, and they won't come looking for the asshole with the spray can or the hose (like most people find out!).
This video made me so anxious and jumpy. My cat sniffed my leg and a whisker brushed it and I jerked my knee up into my desk so hard and fast that I cut it on the flat underside and now it's starting to bruise. Sigh
I remember when I heard a funny story about yellowjackets. It was in church and my funny preacher Buster was preaching. He told a funny story about yellowjackets in his house and then he said, "yellowjacket infestation! My gosh! Just help me out, people!" It made everybody in the church LOL. One of my friends was just looking very confused at Buster and he just started taking notes. Buster should have his own comedy show!
Great video and I'm a tough audience. Kudos. Something like Bob Ross on wasps. Informative, entertaining, soothing, and charming all at once. I think you hit the perfect formula but I would have liked to hear you fill in the dead spaces with more educational chatter. Something like"Bob Ross: wasp nerd."
The easy way here is very simple , use a shop vac. Put the hose end right by the nest entrance and turn it on , then leave it for an hour or so. The wasps get angry and investigate and into the hose they go , I usually never see even one more wasp after using this method
I find the spray cans work really well if you can see the nest. I had a hornet nest in a tree about 10 feet up, fair size but not as big as they can get. I waited until night and hit the entrance first and then soaked the nest. Dead in one treatment. I have also had good success with the foamy stuff, again also at night, but the nest has to be close to the access hole. It even works on ground nests some times just keep pumping until the foam won't go in anymore. But then I have had other nests where the foamy stuff didn't work so I called for a pro. The powder is definitely the boss.
Oh my God, what a horror show! Put your finger through and they just come pouring out...brrrrrrr, I wish I hadn't heard that! Interesting and very informative though.
This is a great video to help home owners. Thank you for this post. But the powder, is it diotomacios earth powder? And is the PVC tank behind the reservoir compressed air or is there a CO2 cartridge? I think it's a very interesting contraption and I wish I had one since I spent over $40 on those cans already... terrible investment unless its arboreal paper wasps.
@animaltrackerswildlife4577 if you think of it next powder vid maybe affliate link to the pump? Your squirrel deterent product review was great! Maybe applicator tool review?
How do you keep yellow jackets from making a nest inside a homes walls? And how do you stop them from chewing thru drywall sheetrock, or often called Gypsum board? Does blown foam insulation stop yellow jackets, or can they chew thru the foam also?
Joey Barrelwilde hi there. Make sure all gaps are caulked especially around pipes like your a/c line or water spigots. Other than that you can’t really stop them entirely, they will find a spot that looks secure anyway. Try to walk to perimeter every few weeks and just watch, get to them early if you see even one going into an opening. It all starts with one! Thanks for watching!
I’m just a bored 23 year old girl eating Jolly Ranchers and drinking wine watching wasps nests get destroyed and I’ve actually found this to be both entertaining and informative. Thanks! 🥂
I know of people that would find a nest of them in the ground, come back at night and light a road flare and stick the lit end into the hole and let it burn. It takes care of the adults and then they dig up the nest to get the larva, which are excellent panfish bait. Also, we have found nests that have been dug up and raided by some critter, presumably a raccoon, not sure though.
Yeah, we were selling our house. I was over there painting and filling holes and such. I see a bad spot on the wall. I poke it. It's just a thin layer of paint with a 12" wasp nest in the stud cavity. Luckily, it was empty. Had to get a sheetrock guy out and all that. Glad it was empty.
Yeah crazy right, I once had a guy think the bad spot in the ceiling was water damage and cut into it with a sawzall only the have the entire hive fall on his head. It was pretty awesome! Wish I had that on video! He was ok by the way, couple of stings. Thanks for watching.

I wonder how long it takes for the nest to grow that big. I strangely find these nests ridiculously interesting and have watched them at night time . But I always find them around house and there still in that golf ball shape and size. I can’t tell you how awesome it was that night watching them , they started making the nest between my glass sliding door and the screen so I had a perfect view . Amante Della Morte 66 thanks for watching. We too find them super interesting. We are in Chicago, so the nest starts in the spring and is done by October. They undoubtedly get ridiculously huge in the south. Someday I’d like to see one those up close! Cheers.
Amante Della Morte the small paper wasps are different than yellow jackets. Yellow jackets are a type of hornet, and a lot more aggressive than wasps in my experience
After seeing a bunch if activity in the yard, I found a cluster of them huddled up on the side of the house on the stucco but no nest. do they migrate that way if a small nest gets destroyed? I hit them that night with the spray, and they got knocked down by the spray, but later found some of them on the wall again cleaning themselves off! I hit them with an outdoor fogging spray which seemed to do the trick better. How large a hole do I need to be looking for? I haven't seen a problem since, so it seems they were migrating.

As far as the powder goes, you could pick that up at your local hardware store I'm sure. Nothing special, just ask for some sort of garden insect killer that you would apply to your vegetable garden. There are many different companies that make it. Good luck with your pesky yellow jackets this year and hopefully not next year!
how about i put that nest down my asshole house mate Devon's Pant's and those bee's sting the Hell out of him
+Animal Trackers Wildlife greetings from UK England Essex very interesting video I'm always trying to improve my rat or wasp control dishwasher soap I find works well but the puffer as we British calls it looks a winner thankies🐾🐺👌🐝🐝🐝🐝

Had these nasty things in attic. Chewed a nice hole through drywall. Cut out the drywall and sprayed the nest directly. Queen dropped out dead
I have been stunk by a bee on my thumb when i was young a wasp stung me on my ear at a club and a yellow jacket stung my finger
What’s the state
Do yellow jackets serve any purpose on earth?
Kate they are pollinators
I had a nest in the ground in my garden I poured about a pint of petrol down there and lit it, of course they tried to fly out and hey presto wasp crisps
Don't light it. The fumes are the main killer, and the fire just burns it off.
Also, it's dangerous and illegal.
So....don't let anyone see you doing it.
How long does it take to take a nest
Gabe Sather it takes about an hour to treat a nest.
AH That mite have a bad ending!
Fun in the sun.
What a horrific creature
Just to be safe I think they should burn the house down cos you’d want to be safe and sure
U used iMovie to make this video
AJ VLOGS yep. I shot it on my iPhone and edited on the phone using iMovie all while in the customers driveway. Low budget!

Ha, not a thing! Only because there is no honey! Also, it would be poisoned even if there was any. Thanks for watching!
Oh hell nah
This dude sounds like Robin Williams
Can you eat the honey?
Safet Hamzagic no you can’t. Yellow jackets do not make honey!
Animal Trackers Wildlife tnx
