After this experiment it will be way harder for you to get them out. They know where to look for peanuts. 😊
Watched this right after tossing moss balls in my attic and hearing the freak messing around back there and it is noisier than before. Looks like it doesn't like something or trying to get the moth ball packs out. I gonna use a flickering flash light on it. By the way, i tried pepper, coyote urine and Critter Ridder before and I knew the result. The freaking criters ruined my roof before. After new roof installation i placed flattened metal 2/4s all around the roof perimeter at the bottom of the roof on outside, thus covering the possible acces for the intruders. I see attempts to access the attic by squirrels from time to time. They tore parts of the shingles on the backyard side but the metal keeps them away. I am running out of shingles. This time a freak got acces. And its on the front. Where l can't access the roff so far from the outside and fix the hole due to some technical issues. No ladder tall enough. But i am looking for one...
Collected over 100 nests as a hobby. Waited for a frost or too collecting them...I was never stung! Really fascinating how they create their nests!
@@donnypeay6770 how did you preserve them?
@@animaltrackerswildlife4577 I kept them in my pole barn for years and had very little damage over time...Spray them and they dry out...Sold & gave away most of my nests due to divorce...
I like this experiment
These Destructive aggressive rodents... me and 3 other neighbors can't get rid of them fast enough...our neighborhoods is over run by these pest?
I wouldn’t attempt it on your own on a roof or ladder where you can’t run like hell😅
Awesome work! And love the kids' cute commentary.
I thought they were dead for a minute.
What about vinegar?
The kid "Whats cwitta widda?" LOL ADORABLE!!!
Can t hear this video over the wind that's blowing
I see bee keeper suits online most between 30 to 50 dollars then I see ones for over 200 Are the 30 to 50 dollar ones any good for home use? I realize you get what you pay for but I’m not looking to do it from a professional point of view
Crumbled corn chips and baking soda. Worked, zero squirrels, zero holes in my garden. I tried all the other deterrents, and didn't want to resort to dirt naps, but nothing else worked to keep them out.
Thank you for your efforts and spending your money so I could save mine.
Grrrrr. I’m very disappointed that you and many others call wasps/hornets “BEES”. Bees make honey and are mostly peaceful, but these hornets are meat-eating arseholes!!
Very informative!
Nice audio, your topic was important to me, my mind can't handle that Microphone in the wind
Where did you get your duster from? Or did you make it and how can I find the plans?
@@autherlipshaw2528 www.domyown.com/bg-quart-duster-1152a-p-319.html
Thank you.
I just dumped 2 cans of wasp/hornet spray into one of these nests, and I think it killed 6 of them. What the Hell!?! Did I just discover a mutant variety that's immune to poison?
Was that diatomaceous earth?
Sevin
I think the skinny ring you laid down was too easy for them to jump over. Did you follow the instructions on the containers? You're also selling your service. 🤔
Wait till night time when their all in the nest with a can of hornet spray instead of getting them all stirred up neighbors might get stung , idiot
Thanks for doing this demonstration, trying to work through a huge ground squirrel problem, I've reached my limit, they are so destructive .
Those "seven herbs and spices" is actually Sevin, right? That's what I use for the underground wasp nests and it works great. They die overnight if I just leave a few tablespoons of dust at the entrance.
@@elementarystemwithms.crosm5345 bingo
Have you tried using Irish Spring soap? I have watched several videos about using it, but I have no idea if it works.
What urine did you use?
Here is the model of the duster. B&G Dust-R #1152-A
What were you spraying into the nest?
Moth balls and ammonia are highly toxic to squirrels and humans, and the rest of these products are the equivalent of paying for a bottle of water. In other words you can make them yourself-including the one with capsaicin which is basically contained in any chili pepper.
Heck yes I definitely disagree if you are a true professional you didn't have to kill them no good in my opinion
I'd like to see an experiment actually putting the cayman pepper on the peanuts versus being surrounded by it.
Great job! Thank you very much!
Squirrels are tearing apart my expensive bird feeder & camera, and since they found it, most video alerts are squirrels gorging on sunflowers. Tried very hot pepper powder in the bird food, I think they like it better now lol I'm going to try some fox urine next. Thanks for your video, saved me some money, if only all videos were such informative experiments! And your kid saying "what's the cwitter witter" had me laughing hysterically lol TY ❤ 🙌👍
im thinking you should have sprinkled the different products inside the hula hoops spreading it out over the 3-4 ft circle... then i think you would have seen much different results
A wise man once said: "respect these straight to the point videos"
6/27/2024 - Very good. Next time, wear gloves, don’t inhale the repellents, and just leave the containers of repellents adjacent to the repellents to easily identify the repellent. Also, whenever you record a video, state the location and date in full, e.g., “ hello, today is June 27, 2024, and I am out here in Salem Oregon.”
Very entertaining, suspenseful and educational, well done!
Thank you!
I doesn't surprise me that the ammonia worked best. I had a raccoon. squirrel problem. I sprayed ammonia on with spray bottle and they never came back. If I don't have rags, I use my old dryer sheets. Huge bottle for about 3 bucks and I bought it at my local super market. Also amazing for cleaning if you can stand the very strong odour.
Gotta use 90,000 Scoville heat rating cayenne. The kind you get in the supermarket or restaurant supply is 30-50k and doesn't deter squirrels. But the 90k really upsets them. First they look stunned, Then they try to get it off, and even "wrestle" each other to try to remove it. I just started using it so we shall see...
Any chance you will share the blend of herbs and spices in your concoction? I have a bald faced hornet infestation I think we got it but I’m not sure would be nice to have that dry option you use plus maybe something to deter them from building another in my garage or house I don’t mind if they are just safe distance
None of that stuff works ever! You have to actually take the squirrels away. They are very intelligent.
Hilarious. Subscribed just because I appreciate the effort. Calling Dyson rn for sponsorship rec.
What about Irish spring soap? 🤷♀️😁
Fritter does not work. I tried it. I’ve got a dozen squirrels around here. None of them care.
Ty it’s five years later and this video is very helpful Saved me sooo much time and money on not wasting time on bs things that don’t work. Thanks for taking time to do this experiment.
I got so many questions about this video
NICE BIG COMMERCIAL THATS ALL THIS IS, SORRY!!!
So are you killing the poor animals?
I think the area around the rings aren't wide enough. Looks like these squirrels jump over the rings and miss the poison Good information and thank you.
Please note that Moth Balls are highly ☠️TOXIC☠️ to humans, dogs, cats, and farm animals! As they dissolve in the ground they WILL also contaminate your well water! Fyi ...👍
