What Graphic options and Sound settings do pro players use in WarThunder? Well you can see it in this video! + Great PostFX settings and tips that will make night maps and nuclear sun a lot more barrable.
Tried everything maxed out, it's extremely realistic because you can smell the smoke from your pc

Just a touch of realism added to your game, dont worry about the burning computer, it's part of the game.
Grass in Gunner veiw is off, other than that, Graphics cranked to the absolute maximum.
To me a very important part of WT is how good the game looks. A friend who started WT after playing WoT for 10 years, said, that one huge reason he even tried WT was because it is so detailed.
This is "pro" settings, aka settings for people looking for performance over quality, but what i like about it is it shows you what each option does so you could still use it as a guide for quality over performance.

I think keeping the dust particles after shooting is a very good advantage, sometimes you don't know where they are shooting at you from and that's a good way to tell.

As a sim player, I recommend having heathaze turned on. It makes you able to spot planes flying low because of the heat destortion up to 35km away (and incoming missles).

For post fx I recommend turning on color correction to film. It makes it slightly brighter on top of everything else that becomes bright
Honestly I just turn off the grass in gunner view. Call it what you want but it’s essential for long range sniping while hill down or at an angle.

I play on max settings for everything except grass in gunner sight which I have off, I'd prefer if it was forced on because you're at a huge disadvantage without it

dude from the bottom of my heart thank you so much for this vid! I had this issue when i switched from my laptop to my PC i couldn't see shit bc of how dark the settings were and it ruined my expeirence but now i feel with this i can get back to the game knowing it will look nicer and perform nicer

Bro thanks bunches!!!! I watched your video and gave it a try. I am currently in 7.3 and I was surprised how I survived until that point without these settings. I was getting 1-2 kills a match but now I get no less than 4-5. You can't believe how much stress you relieved

This is a good overview and guide, makes sense how sometimes I wonder how enemies can see me from bullshit distances or angles. Personally I only use grass off in gunner sight as I like the game to look nice than kills but don't want a massive disadvantage (grass should be forced on powerful systems tbh or like in ARMA where regardless of system it acts as concealment depending on distance). Its kind of a shame that gaijin lets this type of edge slip but it serves them right for poor quality control.

I've been playing on a broken graphics where I can't even notice the enemies so this changes everything.
Texture quality normally only affects the memory of the graphics card. If the memory is too small, either the textures will load too slowly or the FPS will drop, but this is less common in games
I play always with max graphics, I love how good this game looks in max, just amazing. And playing with low ones just for having an advantage is some kind of dirt play.

The sound option modification has absolutely transformed my game
Heat Haze is important, i keep it on because I often see the enemy Heli/plane heat haze before I see their outline.
I found this very helpful as of times I didn't know what did what and would set everything to the max perhaps there's more stuff you could find in the game to help others with and make a video

Even if you change the graphics/sounds, you’ll still get boned if you’re tactically unsound.
Played the game since 2012, you’ll get used to typical enemy tactics/positions that even running on max settings isn’t a problem.
Use Stereo if you want to perform better. It makes sound directional which helps you hear exact movements of tanks through walls.
5.1 and 7.1 is just a meme in earphones
always go for studio headphones, beyerdynamic dt1990 is super nice im in love

I personally use the Sundara, but the DTs are great too

One tip about SSAA, do not use it if you don't have a very beefy computer, SSAA is much better optimized for screenshots through the replay, or just lower graphics intensive things. It is NOT optimized very well for gameplay but is useable with a good PC, just keep that in mind
yep, but my monitor is only 1080p. if u want to play on 4k you can turn it on, but dont forget to change the antialiasing to none. because it already upscaled to 4k
Nah guys, if you can play on max graphics without massive lag please do. It's the way the game is mean to be enjoyed, and trust me, I have had some amazing moments with great visuals on max graphics. On the lowest it feels more like a chore of a game

Here's a little tip. If you're system can't run 4x super sampling you can enable 2x super sampling by editing Background Scale in the config file to 1.2 from 1.0 and setting the file to read only
Can you elaborate on this. 4x is just a bit too much for my pc. but without I get 250fps on max settings. buth 60-70 with 4x

Config
Change backgroundScale : r=1 to 1.2
Then click file save
Right click on Config
Properties
Check the box for read only, otherwise the tweak won't work. Also make sure you got your settings in the launcher how you want them before hand because once the file is set to read only you can't change them in the launcher or in game anymore.
Follow these steps and boom! 2x Supersampling is enabled

@@HeldigDansker I have a 5900x and a 6700xt playing in 2k and I'm running all settings maxed out with this tweak enabled allowing 2x supersampling and I'm getting a steady 100fps with dips down to 90 sometimes so it's not nearly as much of a performance drain as 4x supersampling
Might give this a go. I noticed when you use SS it completely kills the visibility of tracers in the game, hopefully this is a happy medium.

I found another way to make night maps even brighter than the video shows, it's really helpful.

You dont need a sounf card or sorround headphones to use 5.1 or 7.1, you put them on and then go to windows settings and select "windows sonic for headphones" and there you go 3D sound for any headphone
This is something that should never be used. It creates virtual audio where there shouldn't be any. No pro player should ever use those settings, and if they do, they are misinformed.

When you put the game settings in 7.1 it create the sound sources to be reproduced in a 7.1 system, so it creates the channels and put the sounds from the 3D space that is the game into each channel depending of the sound source position. Then the Windows sonic driver converts that 7.1 audio source into a stereo simulation of positional sound using a HRTF algorithm
I had a lot of FPS drop issues recently despite my hardware being pretty decent, tried to adjust all my settings to find a way to resolve it but nothing helped. In the end I removed my graphics drivers - the full NVIDIA suite of drivers and tools and after that everything worked like a charm again. As always, driver updates are the worst problems

I feel that if you don't understand that some terrain is actually transparent in ULQ, literally allowing users to see players who cant see them back, then you have a brain skill issue.
Playing WT for 10 years and in that time I have change settings probably 7 times. Thank you for inside what pro players use. I had same settings for a long time, but now I enjoy Advanced shore. Maybe I got older.

If the enemy player is smart enough to use their surroudings to their advantage, i wont punish them by having low graphics settings, i have everythinfg turned to max, and i enjoy it that way, makes me look harder and pay more attention as well
I just play at max graphics with the only one being to remove grass on gunner sight, that is basically essential, and I still preform pretty well if you ask me.
if you really wanna be a pro, learn to listen, is my advice, though I'm probably not a pro lol. Learning to listen to and associating each sound to what they're supposed to be, whether they're your teammate's or enemies, what kind of engine it is (heavy tank and whatnot), and how close they are really helps out reading people stupidly well.
situational awareness is key to WT, and I personally feel like lowering the graphics is just a cheap way to gain an advantage, that alone will not teach you how to get better.
but if you learn to keep yourself alive, know when to retreat, and read your enemies, you can basically get yourself out of a sticky situation without cheap tricks.
I just feel like just listening is overlooked by a lot of people, and also staying alive in the first place, I've seen a lot of people engaging in combat with absolutely no cover nearby expecting something to go in their favor.
man, I've been playing this game for too long, even after a half a year break I cannot seem to get away from it lmao
That would be nice. On my system, even after many re-installs and WT support help, regardless of my sound settings airplane engines & my own engine sound drowns out everything except for the sound of my own cannon firing. With my vehicle engine turned off, I can barely hear a tank parked next to me and revving their engine. Sounds so far away.

Bruh that's me with my potato Mac and I have no choice since getting 10 fps on ultralow is not good for me.
Essentially ruining how the game looks for a little edge (read cheat) against other players. I am not a competitive player and actually am mentally stable. I don't need to turn off shadows in order to be able to kill other players. I have everything maxed out. It is sad that the game still has these issues unresolved, ever since the Ground forces came out.

Why can't people understand that my 2gb poltato laptop can only run 20fps on mid settings, and probably looking for better fps settings
My PC used to run War Thunder on old videocard support with the LOWEST OF THE LOW POSSIBLE CUSTOM GRAPHICS SETTINGS at 7-18 FPS before the Fire and Ice update but after the Fire and Ice update it now runs at 2-9 FPS but I still SOMEHOW made it to Rank 4 German Ground and Rank 4 American Air as a F2P who also sucks at the game, so yeah. I understand the pain you're going through 😅
its not about people like you, its about those "pro's" with high end pc's that have to lower graphics to be good at the game
@@Deus_Invictus I guess, but because of people like those some of the games I used to play are unplayable for me now, like Crossout for example which really sucks, those so called "Pro" players should honestly stop degrading their graphics quality on purpose to get an unfair advantage when they have machines capable of running the game at 200 FPS and should play like a normal person, alot of people who have horrible setups like me are suffering because of those "Pros", not because they're "Good at the game" but because the game is slowly becoming unplayable because of them

Sadly, turning some graphics options off or low will help with FPS/visibility but personaly i hate it. It looks awfull and its some sort of "cheating" for me.... So i still using maxed out graphics settings for everything. (2560x1440 resolution) And i dont need more FPS cause with RTX 3080Ti i have 150-200+ All the time (On minimal graphics settings u can even get 1000FPS from it)

Well people are triggered about it because it gives them an advantage and it's basically cheating at this point because PC has to face console and console can't do any of this stuff we don't have graphic settings so this is 100% cheating for PC players

@@fosfan48 yes sitting there changing your graphic settings so you can see people behind solid objects is definitely cheating when the people you were facing has no options to edit the graphics so yes that is cheating and second of all that soft lock is really only for people who are using controllers but majority of the players like myself are using a mouse and keyboard so I don't have any of that
