As a flight attendant that tells passengers they aren’t suppose to bring their own alcohol on the plane, I have to say it’s irresponsible of you to encourage people to break FAA rules concerning alcohol. It’s a safety issue for us on the plane. If we feel that two drinks are enough for a particular passenger, we don’t serve them anymore. But we can’t control how much alcohol people bring on the plane.
It's very sad to know so many think they're above the laws and they're only for others.
@@kellyann771 I agree.
i agree
I’m retired from an airline and you can be fined or kicked off an airline for bringing your own alcohol.
No you can’t.
Thuggy Macho, you can. It’s against FAA regulations.
@@Kit71983 no you cant
Just have a drink at a bar before you get on the plane.
Interesting, we just carried on our full carry on baggie full of small, unopened alcohol bottles we got for $1 each at the liquor store. Took the bag out for security just like you would if it was your shampoo and security didn’t care. Three different security personnel commented on wishing they were flying with us or stated things like “oh you’re going to have a great flight”. We went through check in process like this in two different countries/2 different airports with no issues.
Many useful and clever tips in this enjoyable video as well as in your other videos; but honestly, hiding alcohol in lotion bottles is a really bad idea. You won’t be saving any money if you’re caught. Just buy the overpriced booze from the nice stewardess. It’ll be cheaper than the fine and less anxiety producing than being tossed off the plane and loosing your entire trip.
Most of these tips are great; however, I would NEVER suggest that flyers recant alcohol (or anything else for that matter) in a mislabeled container for ANY reason. The consequences could end up being very severe. It is just NOT worth risking it.
I totally agree with you. I was turned off by this suggestion, the consequences can be very severe.
Angela also mentioned they were 4 ounces so they could be confiscated in your carry ons since liquids containers need to be 3.4 ounces.
One of the travel channels mentioned you could face legal consequences if you’re caught consuming your own alcohol and you could get blocked from using that airline. I don’t know if it is true or not, but it’s certainly not worth the risk for the price of a drink or two. Plus, people who consume more than one drink on a plane usually talk and laugh way too loudly (usually women) forcing everyone around them to witness their conversation or turn into AHs (men).
After years of severe ear pain from flying, I can confirm that the ear plugs work. They aren’t regular earplugs. There are instructions on how to put them in. You can remove them once you get to altitude. And then you put them back in before the descent, which is usually when I get my pain. They work like a charm.
You give a lot of great advise BUT as a retired Flight Attendant I would not advise telling anyone to sneak booze on a plane. Under current FAA regulations, passengers aren’t allowed to drink alcohol while flying unless it’s served by a flight attendant. Also, flight attendants are not allowed to serve intoxicated people. It's not worth the problems you may have if you get caught.
The 4oz lotion bottles won't be allowed on the plane in a carry-on. The limit is 100ml or 3.4oz per bottle. And it is judged by the capacity the bottle will carry, not how much you have in it. It would be good for the beach, but not on a plane.
Thanks Diane! Someone else brought that up as well. Each bottle can be 3.4 oz to take on a plane. Maybe these could be used on a cruise ship or even taken to a concert or sporting event
@@angelamasson-fashionover50 Hey, Flight Attendant here....drinking your own alcohol on a plane is a minimum of $5,000 fine. I'm not going to rat you out but you won't believe how many tattle tales there are on a flight.
@@debrahuff1478 wow good point!
Imagine the looks you would get drinking you lotion😮
@@debrahuff1478 agree, ex= flight attendant here, I couldn't believe she suggested this!
That styling brush and adapter is GINORMOUS! That's gonna take up a ton of real estate in your "carry on only" luggage!
This year when travelling, I'm going to wear the same classic gold loop earrings, bring only 3 outfits I can handwash/quick dry, wear my hair in an elegant pony tail, and enjoy the trip instead of keeping track of "STUFF"! If I need anything else I will purchase it then donate. I
I just wanted to say that hair brush looks HUGE!!!!
Oh please...Americans and their stupid alcohol. In lotion bottles? Tacky as hell!
Downy wrinkle release doesn't work very well. Wet your garment or spray it..Hang in shower and turn on water to hottest temp. Comes out perfect in 5 min.
for luggage locks I color code the key to the lock by coloring the key AND the lock with indelible colored markers. Red key, red lock, blue key blue lock.
Downy wrinkle release works great, but I spray, then give the item a good snap/whip to release the wrinkles. You can also flatten and tug.
Another travel essential which I find brilliant is Compeed Blister Plasters.
I can have worn my comfort shoes for months but any day, If I am walking about in heat of maybe I've tied my walking shoes too tight I can get a blister.
Compare last longest but store own are good too. They are designed to cushion, help heal and he left on until they fall off.
They can be worn in the shower, last a few days but they get you back walking with zero pain and in the same shoe once applied.
The wrinkle spray works better if you pull on the fabric and smooth it out after you spray it.
just use water in a spray bottle. it works.
For the wrinkle, you can use your hair straightener . I use that a lot when I go in travel an that help.
Lol, I totally misinterpreted and was gearing up to hear about what you found useful to take to the actual Amazon. Still, some good ideas here.
One more I will suggest for women on long flight itineraries (the transcontinental 2 flight 15 hour+ journeys) is to start the journey with a maxi pad. It’s a lot of sometimes sweaty hours sitting and changing clothes isn’t always possible mid-trip. With this, you you can remove it nearer to the final destination and will feel much more fresh upon arrival.
I have done this and it is brilliant.❤
I do the same and carry a small travel size baby powder to sprinkle on as it make me feel fresher.
I take a few Poise pads to wear on the flights.
I travel with several of those. I wash swimsuits and underwear with hotel shampoo while I’m in the shower.
I have never had a problem with combination locks.
4 ounce flasks are over the 3.4 ounce limit and will be confiscated even if you have only 3.4 in the containe. The limit is on the size of the container, not the amount in the container.
Agreed, I am thinking the TSA bins have many of these. People also use them to get into sports events. Seems like many people have a need for alcohol no matter even as we are learning it is a negative in our lives.
That is so good to know. I was going to take my half full tube of tooth paste instead my carryon.
I just use baggies for my vitamins. I take Melatonin when I fly which reduces my anxiety; i have chewable ones. Bonine works for me but it does make me drowsy. We also travel with motion sensor little nightlights….let’s face it, we are getting older and need to get up in the night…so invaluable. Great for hotel rooms and cruise cabins.
We love Bonine. Have used it for years and it has solved all our families motion sickness issues! Great tips Angela. Thank you.
Oh Angela, I think? You may have to edit out the wine recommendation! Bringing your own alcohol is forbidden on most flights! And really, with a lot of people out there traveling these days, do you really want to contribute to the problems faced on an airplane???
Bonine is a trade name for the generic drug meclizine. It's something I've had in my travel essentials for over 30 years -- ever since my first cruise back in 1990. However, I save lots of $$$ by having my doctor write an Rx for it instead of buying the brand name from a big box store or ordering it online. Under my insurance plan (and probably most plans), I pay less than $10 for a bottle of 100 x 12.5 mg tablets versus the $5 - $12 you would pay for a box of only 16 pills over-the-counter.
Thank you, Angela! Lots of good tips and ideas! I agree with you about the TSA approved key locks. I also prefer the “key” versus the “combination” type. Found dealing, fumbling and remembering combination code too cumbersome and annoying. Take care, Sonia - California. (A good 😂 with the funny flasks…..will definitely get for gag White Elephant Holiday Gift this year…..😂😂😂)
Wow! Many of these are total gems! I’m traveling in a couple weeks and will be ordering several asap!❤
On our flight back from Munich Germany after every airline lifted the mask mandates... Lufthansa was still forcing us to wear a mask in-flight. Every time the nose was not covered an alert came on the TV screen in front of us telling us to put the mask back on. So these days bring a mask just in case.
I haven’t traveled overseas in years. This was so helpful. The little items that can make the trip so much easier. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for your useful advice. It is convenient to bring along an electric plug bar as the number of socket in an hotel room are most of the time unsufficient.
I love my Bonine! Acts fast & works well! No drowsiness!
Great video! Love that teal colored blouse it really brings out your eyes! Looking forward to another fashion haul!
Wow great ideas for traveling!! Love it ❤❤❤
I have watched a million travel videos in preparation for our June trip to Europe, and this is one of the best I have seen!
Wow so many cool things! Thanks for all your videos.
Love it Angela! This is great!
My wife uses Earplanes earplugs for flying. Our doctor suggested using a nasal decongestant spray for 2 days prior to flying. This works! Love your videos Angela.
I will not fly without those! I have eustachian tube problems & my one ear was plugged for two months after flying. Earplanes prevent that !
Thank you. I was wondering what to do about clogged ears.
I have severe eustachian tube problems in my ears and earplugs don't work for me. Nasal spray is the only thing that works for me. Before I started using the nasal spray I would be out of action for 2 - 3 days.
Via our ENT, we take a decongestant if they flight is 3+00, an hour before the flight. If we forget may need to take for a couple days after as it takes time for the symptoms to go away.
These are some really great suggestions!! I have several long flights coming up and have def grabbed some of these things already !! ❤
The tips are genius! Thank you, Angela!
You are a lifesaver with the hair dryer! I never even thought about it. Getting one for my next trip abroad.
Thank you so much for the motion sickness recommendation!
The fan!!!! OMG I need one and you will definitely need for European summers!!
Really good tips, Angela - thanks!
Great suggestions for traveling!
Angela, Loved this video. I especially like the Poopourri and the Lotion Flasks! You are so natural and warm in your videos and I love your style. Thank you so much for all of your ideas 'girlfriend'!
Thank you so much Diane! 😊
Just make sure your adapter also works in the UK. They use different plugs than the rest of Europe 😊
I’ve watched soooo many travel hack/essentials videos, and they are all usually about the same. THIS ONE WAS DIFFERENT! I loved it and all the tips! Great info and you made it fun. 😊
Definitely found 3 new items I wasn’t thinking about, thank you for this video
Omg! Love the visuals....lol! Thank you for the excellent ideas. I am a nervous flyer. Xanax the day before and the morning of is a must!
I love you information. I have that same pinky/cute travel electric fan w/ a flashlight.
What a great helpful video!!
That hair straightener is HUGE.
I thought the same thing, I wouldn't be able to fit it in my luggage!
I can't speak to every airline and every type of trip, but just from personal experience, I have brought alcohol on a plane for domestic flights in my carry on. It just should be unopened, and ahould not be consumed on the plane. But while waiting in the terminal before hand...sure! there are size limits and its subject to the liquids rule. But those little nip bottles are fine.
Excellent ideas!
Good video Angela, thank you❤
A lot of great tips. Now I just need to plan a European vacation...lol I'm actually hoping to plan one next year with my sister. I always wear those plugs when flying and has really helped the pain in my ears.
I like how on a previous video you said to leave the Lululemon bag home and there you were in Italy with it. Admittedly it had a zip and was in front of you so it would be difficult for someone to pickpocket you, but it was still too casual for Europe according to your advice.
I noticed that too …..?????
Like the lock idea.
very good tips ESPECIALLY THE POOPOURI AND THE FLASK!
If someone really wants into your case, all they need is a box cutter to cut along the zip. Or the side of the bag if you have a soft shell case.
Yep, I actually started Bonnin first than Dramamine. It has a different generic med. It works. Now the round patches u put behind ur ears are OTC(over-the-counter, no prescription needed) I haven’t bought one but have used it/ using it in pre-ops and its the best. Will be definitely buying that and bring my usual tablets, have really bad vertigo.
These are so helpful! I have a trip coming up and will b purchasing some of these for sure! Thanks
Where are you going Virginia?
@@angelamasson-fashionover50 My daughter's wedding in Louisiana!
Great video!!!
All good must haves. I take a travel dry bar blow dryer that I can switch the voltage and a flat iron that switches also. One thing I would add is a travel vest. I’m sure you have seen them. They have tons of pockets 😂. Of course it doesn’t go with my outfit but hubby wears it. He says I’m his Pack mule🤣🤣
awesome video so much great detail information thanks 🌼🌼🌼
I have the fan charge/flashlight. It’s awesome.
Too! Charger flashlight AND fan! Can't go wrong there!
i use my hair dryer w the wrinkle release. works like an iron!
Bonine rocks!!!
Wow the lotion bottle!
The sink suds look like a great idea.
Laundry sheets are even easier to carry and they are everywhere these days. For hand washing small items you can tear one sheet in half.
@@caroleweston7563 I started using them at home, too. So easy to adjust the amount by tearing the sheet and no spilling!
Pill packs, little ziplock type bags, work great for daily pills and you can write on them to label AM-PM or identify them.
great entertainment value!
Airline luggage workers have keys to every suitcase lock on their planes. Never check anything valuable. Locked suitcases make them even more tempting to the workers ( not all, of course)
Angela,
Thank you for all of the great travel tips!
We don't need any alcohol!
You did a lot of research!
Have a wonderful day!
Have you joined many classes in the Villages?
I am an avid cruiser and Bonine has saved my vacation so many times!
I bought a flat iron in France years ago and I just bring it with me every time I travel to Europe
That’s what I did too.
The phone case w pocket would be great on a cruise. I carry my phone but only need my room key around the ship. This is great! Cute, too!
If the key has a magnetic stripe, the phone might demagnetize it and the key won't work.
Bonine is the best!
It’s been a game changer for me!
Literally my revlon is the only way I can style my head anymore! We are going to Greece in a month. You’ve saved my bacon!
Hi, fantastic tips, thanks. One of my experiences might be noteworthy for you. Someone locked their case, actually with one advertised that it can be opened by officials if necessary. That point was ignored when they wanted to check her luggage, so, as it was locked they completely wrecked the case to open it. She had to buy new luggage to fly home. We decided to let them just get in and make sure nothing too important was in there from then on.
Great video
I’m disappointed in the advise to “sneak” alcohol on the plane. It is against the law! It can cause YOU serious problems! I advise never doing that!
People who do such things usually do have a serious problem: Alcoholism.
Puleeze! If you think it’s such a terrible thing….you shouldn’t do it. You know just like changing the channel. Judgemental much?
I have been taking Bonine for years!! BEST motion sickness ever!!!
Thanks!
A great video.Thank you beautiful lady
I love that Bonine, and I very never been sick or sleepy.
I love Downy wrinkle release
I've been using anti-bug soap (in countries that I need it) or shampoo bar to wash my clothes and they work just fine. Packing multi-purpose items allowed me to travel with just a backpack.
I need to pack very light and only effective
I love your videos! :) Just fyi, locks are not allowed on checked luggage on airplanes. If you have one, they make you remove it. They have the right to randomly search through any suitcase they want, and the right to break a lock if they want to. They leave a note in your luggage if it was searched, and it's happened to me many times.
Hi…….the locks Angela showed are TSA airline approved. I travel with them all the time. On my last trip to Europe, my checked luggage was opened and a note placed inside. I’ve also traveled with the combination TSA approved locks. Between the two, prefer the key type.
It just has to be a TSA approved lock that they are able to unlock with their universal keys. My check and carry on bags are equipped with actual combination locks made into the suitcases.
Thank you Angela what grade information
Sorry that was supposed to be great
My hubby had that body purse with RFID deflection. It's very convenient, and it can carry a lot of credit cards, both our passports and currency notes under his shirt.
love the lotion bottles. I knew you were a party girl! 🤣🤣😂Definitely a candidate for flyfit. When you are on an international flight, your ears get irritated from the jet noise.
Hi Angela, love watching your videos. Can you tell us where you bought the beautiful green blouse you’re wearing in this video?
Very good video. Thoughtful and practical. I recently traveled internationally for the first time in several years, so I checked UA-cam for travel tips. Several were repetitive featuring the same items. It was as if some were made by influencers pushing the same Amazon products. Yours was not.
I purchased the little pink fan, love it! But saw a review that said to be careful around your hair. It will auto stop for your hand, but not your hair!
The "lotion" bottles are too big for carry on. You can bring the small bottles of liquor, under 3.4 oz., in a carry on and sneakily drink it if you must, but drinking your own alcohol on the plane is against FAA regulations and could result in serious consequences.
A flight attendant wrote in an above comment that it’s a minimum $5000 fine to bring & drink alcohol on the plane.
I’m going on a trip next month! These will be so helpful! Thanks so much, Angela!
Where are you off to Sharon?
@@angelamasson-fashionover50 I'm going to Turks and Caicos! I can't wait!
Probiotics are another must have as there is something about flying and getting constipated
Angela. howdy?, you shared super travel-see ya,
Greetings Angela! This was such a helpful video, and hysterical to boot! Where do you find those clips?? Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Thank you Jean! I spend a lot of time looking for those clips that go along with what I am talking about 😊👍🏻
Hi Angela, found your channel and love it, so many useful tips, thanks, I already have the international adapter, will order for sure the fan, the wrinkle spray and the bathroom spray, will look also in Walmart LOL!!
Great vlogg Angela!!! Thanks for the good laugh I had when u were explaining the multipurpose lotion bottles😅
Im definitely going to get one of those traveling fans, great idea. Also ur hubby is cute!!!😊
Thanks for sharing 😍
