Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. From what we've seen so far it would be very on-brand for you guys. Brief pitch: teen girl and her giant mech travel to a prestigious school where she finds herself embroiled in everything from petty bullying to the machinations of corrupt space capitalists. It's still ongoing, twelfth episode comes out January 8th.
Folman refusing to move from Bradley's way is one of my favorites 'Minor characters moments' in the show. Unlike Buccaneer, who isn't afraid at all, folman is terrified, but he's still stand up to Bradley and ready to fight him, and that exactly what make him so brave. The Bishop deserves respect!
It's also really well directed, at first sight you can understand his tears and apology to Mustang like someone that is about to give up and open the door for Bradley since there's no point trying to stop him Instead he's apologizing for disobeying the only order Mustang gave them, "don't die" It really shows how loyal Mustang followers are and how determined he is about being at the right side, considering dying just to not facilitate Bradley path
Bravery is not the lack of fear. That's being a Fool. Bravery is feeling great fear, but overcoming that fear, to do what you must. That, is what makes someone brave.
that whole scene is badass, from everyone, and in the next episode too. Buccaneer just refusing to give up, Greed/Ling switching off and taking on Wrath as well, Folman and the Briggs soldiers, despite not having any special training like Buccaneer and powers like Greed/Ling, stepping up to try and distract Bradley, Fuu coming in and helping as well. Just a lot of great moments against Bradley/Wrath. And that's without mentioning what's to come.
Bradley easily getting rid of the Briggs troops and fighting with everyone on the roof is one of the biggest feats we see anyone in the show do without alchemy. It's absolutely terrible for our heroes, but I can't help but feel impressed every time I see it.
I mean you say without alchemy but really Bradley is about as human as the chimeras or greed. He started out human but he has been transformed by alchemy into something else.
If you think about it logically, Bradley shouldn't be as strong as he is, realistically. If he only gains the 'Ultimate Eye', and no other abilities, how can he dodge bullets? Even if he can see them, and react the second he saw them coming, the human body can only move so fast. What we see in the show is him literally moving faster than bullets. Even if he isn't an 'Alchemist', he's the most powerful augmented human that exists, moving at speeds that literally should be breaking the sound barrier and killing everyone around him. Which contradicts what happens in his fights, when people can damage and hurt him, cause logically he should be able to see and move out of the way of every attack. The fact he dodges bullets in this episode, makes him stronger than every other character. Even Father would die before Wrath, with how fast Wrath is. He would be able to counter and destroy every alchemical attack and wipe the floor with him. Which is why I don't like Wrath. He is too inconsistant. He is too powerful, and too weak at the same time, depending on how the story wants the fights to go
@@Jirodyne He needs to be augmented more than that he deflects bullets with his sword the strength required to do that is something like a hundred times the strength of a regular human.
I think Bradley is the perfect embodiment of his sin honestly, and here's why; I am someone who for most of my life has had some pretty severe issues with anger. Not in the sense that I am always peeved about something but in the sense that when my switch gets flipped, I can get so angry that my brain will literally black out. When I was a child I was much more reactive and prone to outbursts, now that I am an adult, the anger is still there under the surface but I can control it better. To me as someone with these issues with wrath in my own life, Bradley is the perfect example of a cold fury. Montana seems to believe that to be wrath you need to be loud and reactive, and while yes that is one expression of wrath, really the most dangerous type of angry/wrathful person is one that feels it in silence.
Absolutely, sometimes wrath can boil under the surface quietly and unnoticed, and either erupt violently - or perhaps worse, leak through their actions and behavior towards others in minor less noticeable ways, such as being impatient with people, having a lack of empathy, or even doing harmful things without overt violence (such as psychological abuse, toxic relationships, etc.)... Worst of all, when the "wrathful" person isn't even aware of their own issues, and it just bleeds into every aspect of their life, damaging relationships, hurting people, or leading to isolation and misanthropy.
Father's truth form is so unsettling to me because its shape is one of a human being, but it has too many eyes for it to look natural, so it crosses into this freaky uncanny valley territory.
We have actually already seen a hint of Hohenheim knowing their names in episode 39. He calles out "Rippley, Mechthild, Mail, forgiveme, I'm going to have to use you" then plunges his hand into his chest and lets three drops of blood fall onto the ground. Back then you were both pretty confused - which is only natural
The old greed made a note of not liking to use the full shield because it covers his pretty face, it would make sense that the new greed feels the same way
@@helloneighbour2408 Old Greed used it against Edward because the latter is not as strong or as fast as Bradley. Plus in full armor Greed could still hit Edward despite his slowness. It's not bad writing after all.
I find the fact that the embodiment of wrath is so cold and calculated compared to the expected, wild rage, terrifying. He’s so placid about all the situations he finds himself in in his voice and face but there can be no doubt that he’s about to wreck people. That he can kill whomever, whenever. That grounded rage, that focus on destruction quietly, is a different kind of terrifying to me. Like quietly stewing and planning the worst violence possible. Serial killer levels of sociopathy. Controlled. 😳 terrifying.
26:50 Exactly. King Bradley is wrathful EVERY MOMENT. Remember what he told Mustang about his hands trembling at Major Hughes' funeral. They were trembling because he was angry.
People talk like hoenheim is bad anime dad. Nah, he's among the best anime dads, and he gave everybody else a gigantic handicap just to make things fair.
12:22 The Mangaka said in an interview that had Bradley been in his prime during these events they would have lost because there's no one on the good guys side who could have beaten him be it alone or teaming up.
@@ritster21 Only problem is that using the "ultimate shield" to such an extent is very taxing on Greedling. It's why he doesn't break out the full shield very often. I think it's also harder for him to move with the full-shield, but I could be mistaken on that.
The only reason Greed doesn't always go full shield is because it conceals his handsome face, he doesn't have any difficulty when he goes to fight the central soldiers other than being a little winded afterwards.
@@tau-5794 Yet when he sees Edward fight seriously, he goes Full Shield. So a serious fight against much more powerful opponents like Wrath and Pride is a No shield situation while a serious fight against a much weaker Edward is full shield? I don’t buy it.
It's believed that Hohenheim is able to make better use of his stone because he individualized it and all of the people contained within as a part of himself, which is why he seems to be able to do some extraordinary things with Alchemy
Alright we have some interesting aspects to cover today. I’ll just flat out say it. Father, his skinless form. He’s not a Homunculus form. He came from within the truth. Those hands that grab you within the portal of truth? Each and every one of them is a dwarf in the flask. The dwarf was provided physical form from Hohenheim’s blood, and now he has a body essentially made of souls. He’s a matterless mass maintaining shape from his stone. That’s why Hohenheim believed destroying his skin would make him fall apart. But if you think back to the fall of Xerxes, Father was relieved to be standing on his own two legs. And it’s not skin you’re standing on. It’s your muscles and your bones that support your body with the nerves receiving signals. (And those that can’t walk even with legs is from underdeveloped or not functioning nerves, stand them up and they won’t be able to remain up for that reason.) Father is technically formless and doesn’t have ANY of that at all. He IS the stone. That’s what he’s always been. Even some kind of pseudo stone based on blood and not your soul for whatever reason. Hohenheim talking with the 500,000 souls within him til he learned who each and every one of them are is terrifying. This is the monster he was worried of spreading to the kids and why he didn’t touch them. (And why Trisha said, oh yes, we should have thought of that BEFORE HAVING KIDS. You’re fine, you are no monster.) Hohenheim’s infecting from within is such an amazing way to counter Father’s directly physical approach. Father who is formless goes for physically and direct approaches, and Hohenheim who already has a form focuses on the internal turmoils. Great contrast. (And I still believe that the fall of Xerxes was a THOUSAND years ago BECAUSE of this feat. It took a while before Father started making Homunculi, and a while for Hohenheim to settle himself.) Wrath is an unstoppable force of nature. And also the fastest Homunculus. (Sloth is dead) I do wonder what that sword is made of, but if you hit specific spots even with machines and their weaker joints for the tank, and you swing correctly, it SHOULD be able to get through. (But it does still have to be a dense enough material.) Just…no one has that kind of aim or processing ability but he’s got the ultimate eye. He’s a monster and Envy and him are wildly considered the most beloved of the Homunculi. Greed and Ling are now nearly completely in sync and swapping out and listening to one another much like Hohenheim and his stone. I love the character development from having only mere moments to speak up, to now actively conversing and working with him. And him GIVING UP CONTROL truly shows how far Greed has come. Buccaneer and Faulman having a freaking…measuring contest. Screaming about how I’m going to die more manly than you, yet Faulman steps up too. Love it. And the Fuhrer’s wife being caught in the political crossfire as her husband and son show JUST how much of monsters they really are. (And I don’t think it’s weird to cry when knowing a loved one has come back from presumed death.) But as you brought up, Bradley has distinctly brought up how he chose his wife.
I think part of the idea of Wrath is that deep-down he is so angry and resentful at all times he is beyond the point of blind rage. As somone with anger-issues I've often experienced a point where I am so angry can act calm or even happy despite the intense rage I feel etc. Especially as an angry person like Wrath who's had to 'play the role' of a level-headed and calm person/leader, his character/personality honestly makes a ton of sense to me. He's had years of self-restraint ingrained into him that allows him this facade of calm despite the storm of resentment towards humans/everyone he likely feels deep in his bones.
The last part of that makes a lot of sense. He is Father's wrath. Like Father was as the Dwarf, Bradley has essentially been trapped in a flask his whole life.
This is the episode I've been waiting for you guys to see and be in so much awe when faced with the fury of Wrath stabbing his way through men in all directions 😋
I was in shock too when I first saw this scene. King Bradley was a menace as he was in Fullmetal Alchemist 2003, but Brotherhood Bradley? Nah this guy is in a different league of hisown. Especially the way he started fiddling with the combat knives and griping about them, like dude WTF LMAO! Thanks again Kenny and Montana for the great content, keep up the great work you guys! 🙌
It's never really properly explained but basically Father made that whole underground room his container, with the human form he was in being a red herring. That's why he said "you're not the only one capable of evolving".
I personally think its perfect that Wrath is so calm. He is the definition of cold fury. As in hes so goddamn angry that he is calm about it. Repressed anger is always worse when it gets out than someone who is angry at the full strength in instalations. Its like having a pressure pot and either choosing to either let off steam ocasionally or letting the pressure build until it blows up with devastating results.
People conflate wrath with rage very easily but true wrath is just pure violence personified. No emotion, no hesitation, no remorse, just murderous instinct. But that's a weakness too because cutting off emotions like fears makes you ignorant of your vulnerabilities and unable to protect them.
wrong the sin of wrath is defined as uncontrolled feelings of anger, rage, and even hatred. Wrath often reveals itself in the wish to seek vengeance. In its purest form, wrath presents with injury, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries.
When I see Wrath/Bradley, I always remember Starwars Palpatine speech about using anger to fuel the darkside power, "It'll give you focus" he said to Anakin. I feel like Bradley is in that constant state.
Wrath is an interesting take, he's not mindless blood thirsty killer wrath. Take Kratos from every game before the two current ones for example. Wrath is scarier. Instead of being a uncontrollably fury of rage, he has refined his wrath, tempered it, sharpened and focused it. He is the cold, calculating, unfeeling, indifferent wrath. He can quickly turn into a cyclone of pure focused destruction and carnage, unyielding, zero mercy. The Briggs soldiers found that out the hard way. He doesn't even revel in his obviously superiority. He finds no satisfaction in the devastation he cause. Slaught is just a means to an end. If I had to choose who I'd rather fight, a blood thirsty Wrath or the cold calculating Wrath we have, I would choose the former, the latter could just kill me with his glare alone.
So on wrath caring for his wife; I think he _absolutely_ does. But the thing about him is that a big part of his anger comes from helplessness. You can hear it when he talks about his rank and most of his life; he does not believe that he or anyone else can actually disrupt fathers plans. And he's _bitter_ about that. So I think he loves her for sure, but he doesn't believe he can save her, and won't try. He'll just be impotently enraged that his life's course was set once again.
18:53 Fun Fact, Troy Baker voiced a few characters in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, but didn’t return to reprise them in later seasons. The voice actor who replaced him in those roles was Matthew Mercer (Levi)
12:25 the author stated that if wrath was in his prime the heroes wouldn't have stood a chance against him and father would have easily won so yeah good thing fathers preparations finished when he was an old man
There...is...no one...more horrifying....than King Bradley. I've watched Parasite the Maxim, Death Note, Bleach--look. No one is as terrifying as King Bradley.
In regards to what Montana said about Wrath's composure. I've noticed that when we are younger our perception of wrath itself tends to be more explosive or rage induced, much like the Incredible Hulk. Where as we age get some life experience we learn that wrath can be calm, methodical and far more devastating when emotions are kept in check. Bradley as a character does this very well and in my opinion is even more unnerving in the manga. Other anime would have just had their villain take the shots from the tank as a show of strength or just impossibly cut the tank in half for the same effect. Now Bradley certainly is strong and while probably not as durable as the other homunculi, he probably could do both of those things but it would simply be a waste of his energy which is directed at Father's end goal. So instead thanks to his life experience and wisdom from living a "human" life and the ultimate eye every situation is assessed instantly and every weakness is taken advantage of. Bradley deflects the machine gun fire, dodges the tank shell but comes out of the explosion unscathed, lunging for the gunner's view port and finally showing some of the super human strength he cuts through the tanks track and the track's armor plating. It's pretty terrifying how pinpoint Wrath is with his wrath lol. Though ever homunculus does have their own kind of "freak out" moment where their emotions get the better of them.
Remember the opening narration of this show: "... for what could equal the value of a human soul?" I said that it's basically the entire thematic structure of the entire show as a single question, and it gets approached in so many ways. Early on, the basic interpretations of it are obvious regarding the transaction needed in order to bring back a human from the dead, but as you get deeper into the nature of the Philosopher's stone, you see the opposite: a group of people who look at human souls just as "logs for the fire". The value of a human soul is constantly being underestimated throughout this whole show, so when someone gives the full respect that they deserve, especially when the souls are in incorporeal forms like in a Philosopher's stone, it's given thematic emphasis in the show. Hoenheim's individualizing of the souls in his body is one of the top examples of this.
Insurgents isn't the same as as Surgent which is closer to the name Sergeance. Surgent means rising in surge: swelling in surges or waves, so Hohenheim can be talking to people in waves that's why he apologizes to one first. Also Sergeance has a son named Azure. Which means bright blue, like a sky or an ocean. Giving more credit to his father being a wave
20:41 I imagine it's because as strong as Ling's body is his incredible agility is of greater use against Wrath. Perhaps "equipping" the Ultimate Shield over his whole body slows him down due to the coverage of his joints or something like that? That and/or he's too vain to cover his face like the prior incarnation of Greed claimed while fighting Ed.
Him: are those just two small swords? Well..yes, I guess. But we call them knives, or daggers. Maybe short swords if you are actually dealing with a shorter than normal sword. But these are knives lol
I think that it needs to be considered that Hohenheim has many thousands of souls in his body. He was known as a God in Xing. He had medical, mechanical, environmental knowledge, etc with the additional alchemy power boost from the stone. Like it is shown alchemists need to understand the basics of what they are working with to make a perfect exchange. If he needs to do something out of his wheelhouse he has an expert in his head
I have always thought that the "Ultimate Eye" that Bradley has doesn't have anything to do with his bandaged eye, it just happens to have the Ouroboros tattoo on it so he covers it to keep it as a secret. The Ultimate Eye is, at least in my knowledge, just a skill he has and the only way to counter that would be to take out both of his eyes. I might be wrong but this is how I have interpreted it 🤔
@@houseofaction I think the phrasing "my ultimate eye" that he uses constantly throws people off and they tend to take the words too literally. Few examples up to this episode so I won't spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. In earlier episodes he took old Greed out easily with only one eye, the only reason he showed his left eye is to confirm that he indeed is a homunculus. It doesn't affect his fighting as much as you'd think, of course if you cover your other eye some of the depth perception suffers but by using the eye patch constantly you'd get used to it pretty quickly. And when the train blew off he ran over the falling debris with his eye patch on too. Plus every Homunculus has an Ouroboros tattoo somewhere in their body but it really isn't related to their powers at all, so why would Bradley be an exception? His tattoo just happens to be in his eye so he can dramatically remove the eye patch when story needs it 😄 and it looks cool everytime.
10:35 He reflected at least 6 bullets Dodged a shell Sliced the shell mid-air Did the three previous points while also actively moving towards the tank, giving him even less time to react Cut down at least 8 people before they could react Ran fast enough to evade more bullets Evaded another shell Surfed the blast Stabbed through the small windows Sliced the treads Avoided being seen by the guy who came out of the tank Cut him down faster than he could react Exploded the tank with a grenade All of this in a few seconds Countered Buccaneer's first attack Countered the second attack So that's at the very minimum 28 for the skill counter

Fun fact: Hiromu Arakawa has stated that if Bradley was younger when these events took place, none of our heroes would've stood any chance of defeating him.
Imagine spending an appreciable fraction of four hundred years trying to talk down over half a million people who have been driven insane by grief and fear; all at once. Without going insane yourself.
I love this episode. just a reminder that as of this point, not a single person has scratched King Bradley. and I love how the Briggs Soldiers were basically super soldiers until the second he spoke on the radio. as for the rest of this episode, love how we are getting more of Hoenheim and his philosophy. how we learn that he's helped all of his souls retain their self and knows all their names. only natural that it would come to Ling/Greed V Wrath eventually, and it hasn't disappointed so far. good to see Ling and Greed are working together a bit more.
For a future reaction, I highly recommend and vouch for The legend of Vox Machina. It's got Matt Mercer (Voice of Levi ackerman) the lady that played Azula in Avatar, Travis Willingham (VA for Roy Mustang) and Laura Bailey (VA for Lust) and a bunch of other charming and top notch VAs, the story is awesome, and is based on the first D&D campaign for the live stream of 'Critical Role' Where else can you get all of these amazing VAs and an awesome story? Not to mention it kinda gives you 'Arcane' and 'Invincible' vibes. and with season 2 coming on January 20th, I think now is the best time to hop onto the craze wagon.
the first significant character to be delt a mortal wound by wrath during this day ends up being the one to deal the mortal wound to wrath. which i really love. because initially we are to think bucaneer is done just like that but thru sheer grit manages to survive long enough to make huge impact on the fight.
Just in case people are wondering how powerful Wrath is, they should know that the author herself admitted that if King Bradley's (Wrath) body was at his prime, he can single-handedly squash this rebellion all by himself. To put that into perspective, remember how many powerful individuals there are in this rebellion. Some of the best fighters in the entire series. Izumi Curtis, Izumi's husband, Alex Armstrong, Olivia Armstrong, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Scar, Edward Alric, Alphonse Alric, 4 Chimeras, Greed, Ran Fan, Fu, May Chang, Captain Bucaneer, the first tanks in the whole country and many tough as nails Briggs soldiers that are based off badass WW2 era Russians. One person ALONE can defeat all of THAT. That is how terrifying King Bradley is. To summarise his abilities, he is a supersoldier like Captain America with peak physical performance. Be it reaction speed, movement speed, stamina, power, thinking speed, endurance, flexibility, aim, eyesight, hearing, smell etc, he has it all. Combine that with swordsmanship right out of Rorounin Kenshin (Samurai X) and a Sharingan to complement his fighting style. Even WITHOUT his Ultimate Eye, you can watch that the moment the tank reversed and smashed into the glass doors and he was chasing the tank, he still managed to see all the glass pieces and dodged every single one of them, while slashing at the Briggs soldiers stationed at the glass door. THAT was all his supersoldier physique ONLY. Now onto the Ultimate Eye. His Ultimate Eye acts like a secondary supercomputer brain that sees EVERYTHING and relay ALL information to Bradley, allowing Bradley to make even faster reactions and split second decisions on the battlefield. Critical information like trajectory, distance, wind speed, humidity, speed of enemies, time enemies need to reach him, muscle movements and most importantly, THE WEAKNESSES OF THE ENEMIES. His Ultimate Eye sees all, and Bradley knows all. Now combine this cheat code of an Eye with his supersoldier peak physical capabilities along with swordsmanship straight out of a samurai anime, and you get King Bradley. Should the rebellion be afraid? Yes, they should be VERY afraid. The only handicap and nerf they got from Bradley is his old age, which comes in the form of his body beginning to be unable to keep up with his enhanced reaction speed and thinking speed. Simply put, his hardware can't keep up with his software. If he was in his prime, he probably can cut down each of the prominent fighters mentioned above in one single exchange. Heck, he might even be able to take them all on at the same time and still defeat every single one of them. P.S: Also Kenny was right as in Wrath is the only emotion that King Bradley ever feel. For his entire life, that was his only emotion ever since he was injected with the Philosopher Stone. However, his version of Wrath isn't the emotional outburst kind that was displayed like Fuu did. King Bradley's Wrath was an all consuming controlled sea of anger that had been honed into a weapon, ready to be unleashed in the form of his fighting prowess to swallow up his victims. All of his victims that he had cut down were merely outlets for his anger to be unleashed.
no she was actually just talking about the people he was fighting at that moment. she was specifically asked if Izumi could beat him and she basically said she doesn't know
I've come to the opinion that changing into Greedlings full absolute form has drawback's either speed or it burns threw his stone, maybe both. Inwhich case he'd never be able to hit Bradley, but Bradley could just leave, take out everyone else, or grapple Greed off the building. Case in point there's some scenes in the fight with Bradley where you can see that his back is infact not hardened either.
no it doesn't actually burn through his stone, the homunculi's individual powers don't use up the stone it uses regular alchemy. it just shifts the carbon in his body to form armor. it doesn't slow him down either. he isn't shown losing speed and it can't weigh him down because his mass won't change
@@houseofaction uhh its not that easy to do that, one could argue that the uroboros tattoo is his transmutation circle, but if that's not a circle that he's using the stone to alter not just the carbon but his entire cell structure. Even then he doesn't have that much carbon in his body, look at an urn full of ash, that's how much raw carbon you have in ur body. And I said it was my opinion, explains why he doesn't go full armour all the time, nothing more.
I’ve watched through this series probably 3 times over the years and I just realized Fuhrer is a homophone for “furor” which is a synonym of wrath, while also meaning leader, or tyrant depending on the definition you use. So his title is kind of a double play on words with his homunculus name. Idk if that’s intentional or just a coincidence but it’s interesting either way.
We get alot of Titles Pride The Arrogant Lust The Lascivious Sloth The Indolent Gluttony The Ravenous Greed The Avaricious Envy The Jealous But there is no Title more iconic to me than Wrath The Furious

Remember when mustang first took Mrs Bradley 'hostage' she was in a car presumably heading out of town in the middle of the night. I think Bradley ordered her to flee the country so she wouldn't be part of Father's sacrifice. That's my personal theory at least.
im pretty sure hohenheim was not saying "sergence", but rather "xerxians", the people from xerxes, also fuhrer bradley's "Do they really expect me to make a complete mockery of myself by entering through the backdoor of my own palace?" is one of my favorite quotes of all time.
btw guys by this point you know who the sages of the east and west are? alchemy geniuses one went to xing from xerxes and used alchemy in healing the other went to the west and used it militaristically
I don't know if this is true but i read that the author made Bradley old so that our crew could win because if he was in his prime they would stood no chance, LET THAT SINK IN
I'm not sure if you would be interested in this, but there is a youtuber who actually studies alchemy that has given his views on the show. One of his topics was even father's real name, so you might like giving it a watch.

Bradley easily getting rid of the Briggs troops and fighting with everyone on the roof is one of the biggest feats we see anyone in the show do without alchemy. It's absolutely terrible for our heroes, but I can't help but feel impressed every time I see it.
With his ultimate eye, I wouldn't call those devoid of alchemy, his body is also highly improved through the process of becoming wrath
Equal to Mustang easily destroying dozens of the white zombies. A moment that defines their character.
I mean you say without alchemy but really Bradley is about as human as the chimeras or greed. He started out human but he has been transformed by alchemy into something else.

The old greed made a note of not liking to use the full shield because it covers his pretty face, it would make sense that the new greed feels the same way
but when you are dealing with bradley the wise thing would be to use the full shield
@@houseofaction In full armor Greed is more slow too.
Against a warior like Bradley who is difficult to hit it's pointless.
but old greed used it against edward, a way weaker opponent. Bad writing
@@helloneighbour2408 Old Greed used it against Edward because the latter is not as strong or as fast as Bradley. Plus in full armor Greed could still hit Edward despite his slowness. It's not bad writing after all.
Kenny, "Is that two small swords?"
Montana, "A knife."
🤣LOL! 🤣
Love the interactions between the two of you.
I really hope you guys watch the bloopers after y'all finish this series. It's so funny
Overhyped. They should be watching the OVAs that actually add stuff to the story
They asked on patreon for the link, so it sounds positive.
They have said in chat during the premiers that they would be.
26:50 Exactly. King Bradley is wrathful EVERY MOMENT. Remember what he told Mustang about his hands trembling at Major Hughes' funeral. They were trembling because he was angry.
YES!! FINALLY, Someone finally highlights how ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE of a human being Hohenheim is
People talk like hoenheim is bad anime dad. Nah, he's among the best anime dads, and he gave everybody else a gigantic handicap just to make things fair.
Bradley: "That's my secret, Kenny. I'm ALWAYS angry!"
12:22 The Mangaka said in an interview that had Bradley been in his prime during these events they would have lost because there's no one on the good guys side who could have beaten him be it alone or teaming up.
Well, if Greedling would just go Full Ultimate Shield, then not even Wrath and Pride can hurt him.
@@refurbishedtechpriest9076 Completely false. That was never stated anywhere!
@@tau-5794 Yet when he sees Edward fight seriously, he goes Full Shield.
So a serious fight against much more powerful opponents like Wrath and Pride is a No shield situation while a serious fight against a much weaker Edward is full shield?
I don’t buy it.
It funny that you mentioned wrath’s prime. The author of fma said that if he was in his prime, the good guy’s would have definitely lost! 😅
It's believed that Hohenheim is able to make better use of his stone because he individualized it and all of the people contained within as a part of himself, which is why he seems to be able to do some extraordinary things with Alchemy
King Bradley: "The day I took your grand-daughter's arm, it was one of the worst days of your lives. For me, it was Tuesday."
LOL not the General Bison quote.
"Don't even think for a second that you're gonna die a more manly death than I am."
One of the best lines in the series. Buccaneer is BAD. A**.
He's a bad guy, but Bradley/Wrath is such a chad, the English VA knocks it out of the park
It really shows how amazing the writing of this series is when the entire community absolutely loves one of the primary villains.
RIP to his va.
It took a while before Father started making Homunculi, and a while for Hohenheim to settle himself.)
Wrath is an unstoppable force of nature.
It's confirmed by Arakawa that the fall of Xerxes takes place 400 years before the start of the series
I love your Hoenheim genius counter wing the number of sols that comprised his stone! Nice touch there!
The ongoing skirmish against Bradley in these next couple of episodes is probably my favorite fight in the series, if I had to choose one.
@@Emperordmb in other words, despite his claims to have pride in being a Homonculus, being one is the source of his wrath?
@@LordTyph You could look at it that way. But even before he became a homunculus, Bradley's life was still very strictly regimented and laid out.
@Emperordmb well, his life was 'become one or die' so it still kinda fits.
When Kenny goes “greed takes this wrath is beaten up” I’m like bro.. when 😂 beaten up where he didn’t break a sweat or get touched
That's why he said "you're not the only one capable of evolving".
yet he didn't actual evolve he just used the room as an EXTRA container
Father left the room in the previous episode
I honestly don’t think Wrath is cocky. I think he’s just focused and determined.
I love how Bradley winding so nonchalant in a battle that hinges on his Father's plan. It shows how relaxed he is, as well how confident he is.
Never bothered to pick up on the Sergence thing. That’s even more reason why this show is goated. U guys really are geniuses
I honestly thought it was a dehydrated Hohenheim pronouncing Xerxes real weird
LOL the trap music over bradley's entrance post tunnel scene is so well timed. i love it xD
Oh man, Grandpa is pissed.
Also, I can't wait for that emotional bombshell next time.
The Bradley skill counts are hilarious! 😂😂
12:58 of course the Fürher would be the only one to remember Falman’s promotion
Bradley brought sword to a tank fight and he won.
Nothing brought me more joy than montana and her “hell yeah” at greed’s return
Fitting that Father's Wrath is embodied in a man who can be said to be trapped in a flask of his own.
I think Bradley always angry but he can control it and change it to power or motivation when he fight.
Madara Uchiha
The clown from gumball
Remember the opening narration of this show:
"... for what could equal the value of a human soul?"
I said that it's basically the entire thematic structure of the entire show as a single question, and it gets approached in so many ways.
07:20 - I see, what you did there with that counter. 😏😂
I might be wrong but this is how I have interpreted it 🤔
no its the left eye
Father is the Eastern Sage and Hoenhime is the Western Sage mentioned in episode 19.
10:35
He reflected at least 6 bullets
Dodged a shell
Sliced the shell mid-air
Did the three previous points while also actively moving towards the tank, giving him even less time to react
Cut down at least 8 people before they could react
Ran fast enough to evade more bullets
Evaded another shell
Surfed the blast
Stabbed through the small windows
Sliced the treads
Avoided being seen by the guy who came out of the tank
Cut him down faster than he could react
Exploded the tank with a grenade
All of this in a few seconds
Countered Buccaneer's first attack
Countered the second attack
So that's at the very minimum 28 for the skill counter
This episode had our jaws DROPPED

Fun fact: Hiromu Arakawa has stated that if Bradley was younger when these events took place, none of our heroes would've stood any chance of defeating him.
Imagine spending an appreciable fraction of four hundred years trying to talk down over half a million people who have been driven insane by grief and fear; all at once. Without going insane yourself.
I love this episode. just a reminder that as of this point, not a single person has scratched King Bradley. and I love how the Briggs Soldiers were basically super soldiers until the second he spoke on the radio.
as for the rest of this episode, love how we are getting more of Hoenheim and his philosophy. how we learn that he's helped all of his souls retain their self and knows all their names.
only natural that it would come to Ling/Greed V Wrath eventually, and it hasn't disappointed so far. good to see Ling and Greed are working together a bit more.
the easier explanation is, that he said Sergence, because he was talking to Sergence specifically at that time
For a future reaction, I highly recommend and vouch for The legend of Vox Machina.
Never bring a tank to a swordfight
"He's just done?"
As if General Armstrong's right hand man would die after one hit
First time I watch you guys. Really liked the rythim of your reaction and how do you discuss about the different topics of the content.
Bradley is not human any longer though when the philosopher stone entered inside him. He became beyond human, that is to say, a homunculus.
I think he does care about his wife to a point, but he just prioritizes his duty to Father over everything else.
All of his victims that he had cut down were merely outlets for his anger to be unleashed.
no she was actually just talking about the people he was fighting at that moment. she was specifically asked if Izumi could beat him and she basically said she doesn't know
Like Jontron said "Sometimes, I have to reason with myself that I am not that good. But I know. Deep down. That I am that good."
That's Bradley.
11:35 FYI the tanks tracks that Bradley cut are made of rubber so no physics's laws are being broken here😁😁
I've come to the opinion that changing into Greedlings full absolute form has drawback's either speed or it burns threw his stone, maybe both.
We get alot of Titles
Pride The Arrogant
Lust The Lascivious
Sloth The Indolent
Gluttony The Ravenous
Greed The Avaricious
Envy The Jealous
But there is no Title more iconic to me than Wrath The Furious
"Swiftwind, is that you?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
fuhrer looks like a gigachad
"that's a weird way to respond to that"
Tears of joy after hearing your husband is alive is a weird way to respond to that??? In what universe is that weird?!
Remember when mustang first took Mrs Bradley 'hostage' she was in a car presumably heading out of town in the middle of the night. I think Bradley ordered her to flee the country so she wouldn't be part of Father's sacrifice. That's my personal theory at least.
im pretty sure hohenheim was not saying "sergence", but rather "xerxians", the people from xerxes, also fuhrer bradley's "Do they really expect me to make a complete mockery of myself by entering through the backdoor of my own palace?" is one of my favorite quotes of all time.
no he literally said Sergence as he said that Sergence was a master builder it was a specific person
20:40
THANK YOU! You are the ONLY reactor that actually questions why Greedling doesn’t use his full Ultimate Shield!
It would make things way easier!
But... But it would cover his beautiful face. 😉😂😂
Matthew Mercer, Troy Baker and Ray Chase can have very similar voices. I have now noticed that
Man Bradley is on the same level of badassery as a Spartan 2 from Halo.
I absolutely loved the Heroes and Villains by metro boomin for Bradley’s intro song lol
6:29 could this woman be an Armstrong?? Florists have been serving them for generations.
btw guys by this point you know who the sages of the east and west are?
alchemy geniuses one went to xing from xerxes and used alchemy in healing
the other went to the west and used it militaristically
I don't know if this is true but i read that the author made Bradley old so that our crew could win because if he was in his prime they would stood no chance, LET THAT SINK IN
This and Next episode are my alltime favorites I Love Greed and his fight against wrath XD Even tho next episode is also one of the sadest :(
Buchaneer the OG Chainsaw Man
Greed has a cool reason not to put on his full shield
Since you have seen the episode
Yes he doesn't want to cover his (Ling) beautiful face 😂
Can we just agree Montana has one of the best shirts ever
The Sword is regular steel but it knows better then to disappoint King Bradley...
The Sahara is the largest DRY desert in the world, so Kenny wasn't totally wrong.
(At 8:30) that's it has to be over half a million.
Bradley is so cold, I can't. I know the man is bad but every scene of his is hype af.
Great song choice for wrath
"Greetings, I'm Back."
Did anyone else see the similarity in physical features between Father and the God Ed saw?
I'm not sure if you would be interested in this, but there is a youtuber who actually studies alchemy that has given his views on the show. One of his topics was even father's real name, so you might like giving it a watch.
best reaction channel of all time
