i always look forward to waking up on fridays and watching your videos first thing in the morning. you have affected my recovery SO much, i am so grateful
This is good, Robin. It's so overlooked the simplicity of shifting perspective. Anxiety DPDR and all other uncomfortable thoughts and feelings are part of this human experience. We naturally gravitate to increase pleasure and avoid pain. That's part of our nature. But attaching a negative thought (and repeated enough turns into a belief) to the anxiety DPDR experience (e.g., this is bad, scary, I can't stand it, why me, etc.) will keep fueling the avoidance and discomfort; keep our focus on this exhausting effort to try and get rid of it. I'm ranting wow haha. But I love this short simple wisdom of gold talk. Came at a great time this morning because I was thinking about intrusive thoughts and had the thought: "what if I can't stop thinking about this thought; what if it's always in the background." And honestly, I let it be without grabbing onto it because of some fear. I don't need to carry this fear because of a thought lol. It's honestly ridiculous. I'd rather let it be in the background and live my life fully. It's my choice whether I determine the thoughts meaning/value You and many others are inspiring me to make some videos. So thank you. Appreciate you
I have been watching your videos about existential anxiety and they are helping. I still have some thoughts that are linked to existential anxiety/crisis. I feel like the whole foundation of my identity has crumbled when I have actually like ACTUALLY realized that A) we dont know anything about whats outside of our reality and B) we die at some point and we are dead for the eternity. Do you have any tips for dealing with this anxiety😅
