I just LOVE that Claire learned, in University, to translate French to English! I studied French for 12 years and speak fluently. Also, I translate from English to French. Those of us who are at that level (bi-lingual or even more!) understand that you take the meaning of the sentence or phrase in one language and translate it that way, not word for word. I love it! I think in both languages. It is very nice to know both! :) I'm sure a lot of people can understand this... My two favourite singers ever in this world of" not so talented" music, exploding with talent and beauty together. I hope this is just the beginning for them to us. Such a gift. xx

It's kinda funny to listen to a French girl and a Norwegian girl.....speaking English to each other. Because....I'm an American, I'm only fluent in English(big surprise...), BUT....I'm committed to learning a second language and becoming very fluent. And I'm torn between learning Norwegian or French. Norwegian because...I've always wanted to live in Norway at some point in my life. And French...because I lived in France for 3 years as a kid and have always loved French culture. Learning French would certainly be more useful and versatile overall. But...Norway fascinates me too. Also....I really want to watch all those Aurora interviews that are in Norwegian that don't have subtitles lol... I better decide soon though....I want to get going asap. I'm leaning towards French...mostly because I know a wee bit of vocabulary, and find it relatively easy(ier) to pick up than other languages. Also....because I grew up in France as a very young kid...I think my brain latched on to the way words are pronounced so that even today...I find it very easy to pronounce all the French phonemes. I still wish my parents had forced me to learn French when we lived there. I went to an AIS elementary school....where everyone spoke English. But I COULD have learned French easily as a kid. Sadly, apparently I didn't want to....and my parents were like "meh....whatever." My current self would love to go back in time and tell my 7 year old self to DO IT. Wow.....I'm really rambling now... o_o

It's kinda funny to listen to a French girl and a Norwegian girl.....speaking English to each other.
Because....I'm an American, I'm only fluent in English(big surprise...), BUT....I'm committed to learning a second language and becoming very fluent. And I'm torn between learning Norwegian or French. Norwegian because...I've always wanted to live in Norway at some point in my life. And French...because I lived in France for 3 years as a kid and have always loved French culture. Learning French would certainly be more useful and versatile overall. But...Norway fascinates me too.
Also....I really want to watch all those Aurora interviews that are in Norwegian that don't have subtitles lol...
I better decide soon though....I want to get going asap.
I'm leaning towards French...mostly because I know a wee bit of vocabulary, and find it relatively easy(ier) to pick up than other languages. Also....because I grew up in France as a very young kid...I think my brain latched on to the way words are pronounced so that even today...I find it very easy to pronounce all the French phonemes.
I still wish my parents had forced me to learn French when we lived there. I went to an AIS elementary school....where everyone spoke English. But I COULD have learned French easily as a kid. Sadly, apparently I didn't want to....and my parents were like "meh....whatever." My current self would love to go back in time and tell my 7 year old self to DO IT.

haha for me its the other way around. I asked if someone can recommend me an artist with similiar magical mind under a aurora video and some kind soul recommended pomme. Love them both now.

@@Lus0rius Oh she's so wonderful. And I love to hear the french language. It's so beautiful. Sometimes I think it's sad that french-natives don't hear how beautiful their language is because they're used to hear it since birth and so it gets normal. But believe me, it's anything but normal ✨
