- From the 'the miracle' album from 1989. written by Roger Taylor.
"The Invisible Man" is Taylor's first song on the album. The lyrical idea came from a book he was reading after which the beat instantly came to his head. May and Taylor commented that Taylor wrote part of the song in the bath . The names of all four band members are "hidden" in the vocals: Freddie Mercury right before the first verse begins, John Deacon after the first verse, Brian May before his guitar solo, and Roger Taylor after the lyric "look at me, look at me". Taylor "answers" with a drum fill.

I love Queen, but I do have a laugh at their statement on the 'Night at the Opera' album where they were very explicit to mention that 'no synthesizers were used on this record'. But when you hear this song..there are a lot of synths on it! Funny how things change.

I heard that it was not because they were actually against synthesisers, but because they thought people might mistake some of the sounds for synthesisers and they wanted people to recognise the achievement
