Did anyone notice that her bookshelf look like harry potter houses, gryffindor, hufflepuff, slytherin AND ravenclaw, and she looks like a real life alice??(best crossover EVER) "Alice in Hogwarts"
i think it's cuz of the color organization. most books are bright colors, because they catch the eye on shelves. and those basic colors are red, green, blue and yellow, like the colors of the harry potter houses. so because of those basic colors being everywhere, anytime i see all four of them together, everything looks like harry potter houses to me, lol
Hi Hailey, I’m Italian🇮🇹 and even though I don’t have access to all the books you mention (because there is no Italian version, and I still find difficult to focus and read an entire book in English), I just love listenting to you talking about them and reviewing them, I find it very relaxing😌😌 Thank you for keeping me company during this quarantine💖💖
Looking at the titles, I have heard of them, but never ever read any of them. But they all sound interesting. Love a beautiful recommendations video 🌸🌸💕💕
I think that the Great Library series, by Rachel Caine, is highly underrated. Thank you so much for making all these book recommendations videos! I love them.
I recommend The School for Good and Evil for a fantasy book. Even though this is actually a kid’s book, it’s actually pretty ok to read at any age tbh. My mom read this book and she loved it and even though I got it when I was 11 to this day it is still my favourite series for some reason. Maybe attachments but still. If you want to find the book by looking for the author, his name is Soman Chainani
I feel this I’m 17 and I objectively feel like it’s a great middle grade series. I kind of feel dumb or not “grown up” enough sometimes for enjoying middle grade to break up some adult and ya but it’s so underrated and fun!
This entire quarantine I’ve just been sitting around waiting for new videos from Hailey (and I’m so excited, thank you for entertaining us during this crazy time, stay safe & healthy queen) !!!!
That’s technically a middle grade series and its very popular among kids and preteens (i work at a book store and that’s always who buys it) so that’s probably why you never see it on booktube, its not a YA series! :)
A. I didnt personally enjoy flashback that much since I’m team Keefe but I read legacy and it is one of my favorite books in the series. So give it a try:)
Princess of the Midnight Ball, is a 12 dancing princesses retelling that I remember really enjoying as a teen. Quick read. Beautiful imagery of the land and gardens. Very good Springtime or stuck inside read 😅
Some reaaally underrated books: The Dark Days Club trilogy Do they hear you when you cry The Silence - Tim Lebbon Lethal Velocity + The hidden room - Lincoln Child The Tigers Wife
I’m really proud now that you have Dutch relatives, I’m not from the Netherlands but I’m from Belgium so not that far off! But thank you for more recommendations I heard of them but never picked them up so I will look into them!
I’ll have to read Far From the Tree. I was raised from birth by my grandparents. A brother I never knew I had found me last year, we share the same parents but he was given up for adoption at birth. My half sister and brother were raised by the bio mom of all four of us and the bio dad of my half brother. I find nature vs nurture very interesting because of this. Thanks for the recommendation.
I read Wolf By Wolf due to your recommendation and really enjoyed it! Going to read the second instalment soon and I have Prisoner of Night and Fog in my list too! Thank you 😚
I would love some sci-fi(space based) recs! I feel like there s an abundance of them out there that I just don't know about and it kills me because that's my favourite genre
gurbani mahajan I think she didn’t put any sci-fi because Hailey doesn’t really read that genre. I remember her latest bookshelf tour and she had like 5 sci-fi books there.
I hadn't read much sci-fi for decades, but I joined a sci-fi reading book to get back into it and the first book I read was The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. Really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed Skyward and Starsight by Brandon Sanderson. Also loved An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green.
So I have been binge watching your videos, I am trying to get into reading again. I am almost finished with Girl in the Blue Coat. Oh my goodness is it good! I can’t put it down! Definitely a good book to get me back into reading! Thank you for the recommendation! ❤️
Can you do a video on how you create your TBR list, as I would like to start something like that. I love your videos and I have been wondering if you could just do a video on your book goals/ how to create a TBR list.

I've never noticed how we have very similar reading interests! A very underrated book series is called The Atlantis Grail series by Vera Nazarian. Tagline of the 1st book is "Qualify or Die". 1st ebook, Qualify, is free on multiple ebook platforms too!
I recommend The Odds of Loving Grover Cleveland by Rebekah Crane. It follows a girl at a summer camp for kids with different disorders and I haven't found any mainstream booktubers who've talked about it.
Love this idea!! xx hope you and Charlie and everyone are doing well. Thank you for posting such lovely content really boosts spirits. Your energy is contagious and I love it! Thank you x
I’m so glad that you love Wolf by Wolf so much - I read it for the first time a couple years ago and was so sad that nobody had heard of it! I’m also glad to hear you mentioning Unwind because now everyone loves Scythe but I read Unwind back in high school and was completely obsessed with it - and I never hear anyone talking about it! Some of my favorites that I never hear people talking about are Unwind, Code Name Verity, and the His Fair Assassin trilogy
We have really similar taste in books so i'm always super excited when you talk about books that not everyone talks about! The Chaos of Standing Still was SO good. I read it during christmas break and could not put it down. My bf recently got me a book cowritten by Jessica Brody that is a retelling of Les Misérables. Can't wait to read it.
This was a great video. I hadn't heard of most of these books and others I was familiar with the title or cover but hadn't given much thought to them. I put quite a few on my Goodreads Want to Read list, thank you! You asked for recommendations in return and, while this book is well known, because it was published long ago it might be a book you hadn't considered reading. It's one of my favorite stories - The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver.

Just found this channel and I love it! Thank you for sharing about these books Hailey they sound so interesting I really want to try out The Crowns game it sounds so interesting!!
Definitely adding The Geography of Lost Things to my TBR. One day I was in an indie bookstore, and a local author was there promoting her book, The Diminished. It's about a world where everyone has a twin, and the chaos that ensues if something happens to your twin. It was easily one of my favorite books of 2018, but I've never heard of it mentioned anywhere else!
K Weikel is an indie author that I love. I’m basically the only person who read her so it’s like a secret cache of stories. I highly recommend her book When the Sky Eats. It comes out in a few days. I got to read an arc and it was SO FUN.
hi hailey, i finished reading The Geography of Lost Things yesterday and I loved it so much. And I liked it better than Chaos of Standing Still. I mean I loved Chaos of Standing Still but The Geography of Lost Things was really, really amazing. I loved the way it was written and the whole trading stuff and I was curious to know more about Jackson throughout but I certainly didn't anticipate the end. I just loved it so thank you
I have heard of most of those, but have only read a few. Entwined is my favorite retelling of all time, such an amazing book! Some of my recs: Far, Far Away by Tom McNeal; Bone Gap by Laura Ruby; The Slip series by David Estes; Timebound by Rysa Walker; Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger; Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Vigue; For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund; The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron.
Theres this book series I read a when I was younger and literally no ones talked about it and theres so few ratings but I remember the series being good and the series is "the prince warriors" its underrated af and the books r the first books I read after so long of not wanting to read bc of my dyslexcia, they got me back into reading.
One of my favorite books that I think is unheard of is Ophelia by Lisa M Klein. It's a historical fiction / retelling about Ophelia from Hamlet, and what her point of view could have been. Really great book!
If u haven’t already, u should definitely read the glass castle by Jeanette Walls. It’s a memoir but reads more like contemporary. I loved it so much, and I think u would too!
I love this idea of a video Hailey! I read some of these and own some of these. The ones I read is: Far from the tree (Read it last year and loved it), The crown's game (Still need to read the sequel sadly), and pride (Which is another one I read last year and loved it). The ones I own is: The girl in the blue coat, Wolf by wolf and american street. Maybe I should pick them up now!(:
Girl in the Blue Coat made me love Monica Hesse. Bought The War Outside by her as well and it was just as good. Now I just want to read all of her books.
I have never heard of or seen any of these titles! Speaking of titles does anyone know if Hails published her book? Last I know she finished it but that was a while ago. She has so many videos I find (found) it easier just to look for her name at Barnes and Nobles or Books and Books.
@@pepperandpotion ...thanks, uh, Hermione, lol. Do you know which video she talks about her book effort? Steven Gregg she does have a playlist about her book writing. Look it up there and you’ll find it. From what I remember what she told the story is about a girl who goes on a trip to Europe after the death of her sister. I think it will take a long while for the book to get published. Specially since the project is not fully finished and also not attached to any publisher yet. Also, it might take a while because of how the world is right now.
@@supercalime Thanks Leticia. I was wondering what her novel was about. I assumed it leaned YA which is not my favorite genre. I am a big fan of 'Phantom of the Opera' but reading 'Roseblood' was like writing a page from the dictionary for getting caught eating Skittles in class (which takes a full week to write, btw). But Hails has such an infectious passion for literature I would read her first novel without prejudice. Regardless, thanks for filling me in!
I'm realizing now how many books you've influenced me to read because even though I've never heard other people talk about these books, I've read 5 of the ones on this list because you talked about them!
Just finished reading The Chaos Of Standing Still and overall, I really liked it. Yes, there were some points which I felt could've been dealt with better like bringing in Siri and Jimmy but overall, it was great. Thank you so much for recommending it! :)

Do i make a resevation for the paperback or should i wait for the hardcover edition in Dutch? Please help me thanks i am a hugh fan of you and you,re book reviews 👋🏼👍🏼😀📚📖📚
I definitely got some new recommendations out of this video! It's always fun to discover books outside the mainstream, they kind of become your personal treasures:)
Omg, you have to read the land of stories series, they're actually so good. And Chris colfer just released the beginning of a prequel series to the land of stories! !!!
I cant leave the house to buy books and the place that I order books from only allows me to order essentials 😓 now I'm stuck reading books that I've been procrastinating on reading. Help.
A book that you may not have heard of is Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck. It is about a girl who is looking for a summer job to help her pay for college. She gets one at a traveling cercuse, and becomes close with one of the animals witch is a tiger, and gets mixed up in a 300 year old Indian curse.
Also to add I recommend reading The Last Girl On Earth by Alexandra Blogier I don't know what genre it is cuz I'm mezmerized by it's cover but I think it is a Sci-fi btw I better add that caught my interest in this video thanks Hailey
I just finished Here we are now by Jasmine Warga. I don’t hear much about it but I enjoyed it. It’s about a girl whose dad shows up on her doorstep and wants to take her to meet her dying grandfather and follows her journey to find out what happened in her parents past.
I stopped in the middle of the video to go add some of the books to my goodreads TBR list. I ended up being there for 50 minutes and with 45 new books to my TBR list🤦♀️

I just read Wolf by Wolf in February and loved it!

Gabriel and the swallows by Esther Dalseno is amazing...I reccomend it!
Wow, I have actually never heard of any of these. Job well done Hailey, always making my TBR unreasonable 😂
