I just discovered AURORA tonight and while I'm sad that I didn't find her years ago, I am sadder still that I will never be able to hear her for the first time again. Next is to go see her live.
@@joeladams2540 And weirdos (like me) 😅 Don´t take it the wrong way, I don´t see "weirdos" as a bad thing. 😏 I am just a little bit different from others in some ways. 😉
I think we love watching aurora reactions because it’s so validating.. like yeah, I’m not the only one who’s like “wtf just happened” after listening to her performances 😅 a magical trance. It hits home for me. I call it soul singing. I believe we all share the same or similar soul, so, if we are in touch with our own, her music tends to be very touching indeed
Please don't ever hold your tears. Embrace them, feel emotion. It's in our nature to feel, we're only human after all. Besides, it feels so nice to cry 💞
I'm a heavy metal fan being absolutely blown out by AURORA. She is out of this world. My whole chest was shaking during listening to this for the first time. And it's not only her voice, she's pure inside and out. She somehow taught me a few good things about myself and it's really tough to influence me in such a way she did. Can't wait to see her this summer live.
Howdy! I did happen to stumble onto one of her interviews! She is just as fascinating in her interviews as she is in her singing! Adorable! Thank you for your comment!
She gets to all of us. It's her gift. She's very much in the moment. Every performance is this special. Glad you enjoyed it. This song is where I started my journey, and have never looked back. This concert is a masterpiece that I have watched many many times. She is an amazing performer and song writer. You've only just scratched the surface.
Aurora always gets to me too, but doubly so. I discovered her a few weeks after my dad past away. Within seconds of hearing her vocals I knew my dad would have love her. So hearing her live always takes me back to that first moment I heard her sing.
You're hooked now Aurora's Love and Magic's got you, yes she's captured you, real quick I can say......that's great, she is speaking to you, directly, personally that's what she does, she is a healer, a story teller she drives you in,and carries you away, way inside your own core She is unique, absolutely adorable and wise, yes, so talented and gifted and freaking cute!. Welcome to the Queendom!
Her older sister does the design of her dresses - and it is pure joy and happiness to experience a good concert in the cathedral of Nidarosdomen, Trondheim, Norway. Hendels Messias with one of Germanys best choirs at easter - pure magic.
The whole Nidarosdomen concert is amazing!!! Looking forward to "It Happened Quiet" and "Little Boy in the Grass". After "Lucky" you may want to add "Winter Bird" to your list. BTW Aurora is so emotionally connected when she sings, because she is a true empath. You can't tell whether she's singing about herself or about somebody else.
this is why we play and listen to World music from all artists, lands and cultures........Aurora just reaches in and touches our hearts....this is a beautiful hymn to innocence.....the ending just breaks your heart
My favorite Aurora song from this concert is “ Lucky”. I could only say wow after she finished. I believe she wrote Lucky when she was 9 years old. She writes her own music.
Incredible talent, not to mention the content is incredible. "It Happened Quiet" will be done tonight and then Lucky later this week. Thanks so much for your comments :)
AURORA, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter.(From the same country as Angelina Jordan). Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one hit. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and were inspired after listen to Aurora. She is a true genius artist who does not make plastic / bikini music, but is true to real creative art.
This concert is easily in my top 10 recorded shows of all time....and there's some amazing shows on that list. But this is beyond something special. Winter Bird and Lucky are my two favorites from this one. :) But literally every single song is mesmerizing. I've watched this from beginning to end about 10 times now....about once a month for a year now. It's THAT good.
I really like the pauses. She lets the note disappear and that moment of silence allows you to process before she blows your mind with the next magical note.
Welcome aboard. I love when someone new finds Aurora. We all reacted the same way you did. We all go for the same songs first. But she is so much more. You have literally just scratched the surface here. She’s hilarious in interviews and in between songs in her live shows. There’s such a lot for you to catch up on. I’ll be following your progress and shedding a tear or two along the way. Again. Just when you think you’ve heard a song often enough for it not to affect you, you find it still does and end up blabbing into your handkerchief yet again. Enjoy the journey.
@@larryshair what is impressive is that a new artist (peculiar as she is) is able to brake into our pool of ARTISTS, that is not common , speaks volumes of her quality
This song and so many others Aurora has gifted us, always results in me being a sobbing mess, and I am grateful and humbled by it. Every single time, hidden emotions become revealed again, unlocked and released, each experience is so deeply healing and beautiful. Sharing connections through these moments, seeing and reading how another person is reflecting responses so similar to my own, amplifies the significance for me. Knowing these personal feelings are real for so so many is reassuring, calming and just a remarkable reminder how strongly our innate humanity binds us to hold empathy and love and kindness for another soul. Thank you for sharing your Aurora journey with such care and vulnerability. Be well. 🤍🕊
Hi Larry - I just finished watching all three of your Aurora reactions, and I am so enjoying watching you fall in love with her and her music! She is really something special. Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 25 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Although she is amazing live, her videos are mini-masterpieces as well. You might enjoy reacting to two versions of the same song in the same video to get a fuller picture of her talent. A short list of original songs: Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift: ua-cam.com/video/CFzExUN1N8I/v-deo.html It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well: ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html Churchyard - Live on KEXP Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020 Exist For Love - Music video, Daydreamer - Music video She also does some awesome covers: Life on Mars - David Bowie Believer - Imagine Dragons God is a Woman - Ariana Grande Across the Universe - John Lennon Teardrop - Massive Attack

Thank you Robin! I have my work cut out for me lol. "It Happened Quiet" is going to be reviewed this evening. Thank you very much for the recommendations!
I've always interpreted the last part of the song as a vocalization of a baby's cry. For some those cries are unnerving but this is what I imagine those cries sound like for the mother of the baby. Crying is the most vulnerable innocent and honest form of communication known to humanity. And we as a grown adults should practice it more then we are. We should not be afraid to show true emotions that overflow in us. They are beautiful. And Aurora expands on this thought in her song called The River.
This song hits different depending on your "childhood." Personally, it's a hard one to listen to, but it's just that beautiful. I have found it to be cathartic in some way. Beautiful reaction :)

I didn't know about Aurora until she featured in a video game named "Sky: Children of the Light". The creators of the game used her image to create a "Spirit" avatar of her and used her songs to create a concert with their own graphics and the story behind the game. In the game, the is a scene of a battle, with children and light creatures dying and this song was used on that scene and the afterwards of the war. My God. I cried and cried, and still cry every time I heard this song. It is a masterpiece. The game brought me to her and I am hooked. Aurora is a light spirit. I am so grateful to the game for immortalizing her. Look it up. It is amazing.
And how many concerts were there?? So many, right? One of the best seasons and momemts of sky, with Aurora featuring the way she did. Just freaking amazing!!!!@@Nimoot
I have seen this video several hundred times..... I listen to it EVERY night when I go to sleep (I have a short playlist I use to relax when going to bed).... And I still gets goosebumps listening to it..... The entire consert are mindblowing fantastic.... Runaway and murder song I like nobel peace prize consert better, but the rest..... crazy good.....
She is Mother Nature pleading with us, trying to teach us to be kind and enjoy all the love we have to offer one another. I envision an old hand drawn Disney Snow White in the forest, singing to the animals and forest folk...
Could we have some more stuff like this Larry! I miss going back to the roots of music! I love the modern era stuff you and your son are doing. Me and my mate always recap your videos and have a good laugh and break down your reactions. 💙 put a challenge forward to your son and put it up on his channel, a song that he doesn’t know and that you love. Thanks for your content. 🤘
Its ok to cry, we have all been there. Aurora is out of this world and I always enjoy going down the rabit hole with her. I also recommend the HAIK documentary, The Seed MV and also her cover of Teardrop from her. Welcome to the Aurora Family. Oh yes, and also do watch the whole concert
The song of the soul, wordless, timeless, full heart vocals ❤️❤️❤️. When my “cup runneth over.” Emotion utterly human and completely sacred; one and the same.
Good picks. This concert is easily in my top 10 recorded shows of all time....and there's some amazing shows on that list. But this is beyond something special. And oddly enough, Winter Bird and Lucky are my two favorites from this one. :) But literally every single song is mesmerizing. "It Happened Quiet" (Live at The Current) - ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html two voices and a guitar, chilling harmonies in my opinion live and without shoes she gives her best - "life is better without shoes" she says
yes, another masterpiece. I think your reactions are very good, and i dont mind at all you doing them as the video goes along (pausing)...after all thats the point of your channel, right. I wouldnt be watching these kind of channels if i didnt get a deeper understanding of the artist you present. Sensitivity is a must to understand A'urora. You got it. thanks.
Aurora often sings without words, and at times she also creates her own emotional language in songs. They are of no known language and she doesn't translate them for us, which is just fine. It happened quiet at nidarosdamin is not her best. I and many others prefer her Live at the current version of It Happened Quiet. I love the Nidarosdamen concert in its entirety for its setting, the orchestra, and the choir, but it's one of her earlier in her career performances and her voice and style choices have matured. Though Boy in the Grass, and Lucky are still amazing at this concert.
She is an angel , but dont fall into that trap lol . As you move further into her output you will see her lose her fragility and become more confident and indeed very funny , she is also very weird and wonderful and a very caring woman . As well as her music there are many interviews out there which give you a wonderful insight into here life. She makes you want to wrap her up and protect her when in reality she is a very strong and independent woman who knows what she wants from life.
I lost my mum on 31.08, only aged 62. We had no contact over 11 months after a dispute. This song touched me the most cause for mum i was still ,her little boy' and i wished to see her again peacfully
Now you're hooked and you will never be free - don't worry it's a great feeling! I've been happily enthralled since hearing her song for the John Lewis Christmas advert in 2015. I listen to her every day and no matter how good I'm feeling she always makes me feel even better. Her interviews are comically magical and magically comical - which is fun.
Aurora is my female obsession while Dimash is my male obsession. She is absolutely exquisite - and above that, i would not be surprised to find out that she has teeny fairy wings and glows at night while she flits around sprinkling her magic everywhere ..... the entire Nidarosdomen concert is stunning!! Aurora and Wardruna performing Helvegen is hypnotic!! ☮❤️ Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa
I do not see any videos where you react to the MOST PERFECT PERFORMER in the world. He will move you to tears, he will shock you, he will make your heart soar, you will never be the same again after watching Dimash Kudaibergen (27) from Kazakhstan perform. As with Aurora - he too, conveys every word of every song with his body, hands, facial expressions, and when it comes to his voice - well, this is a once in a lifetime phenomenon and I doubt we will see again......My suggestion is that you start with his performance in the Chinese version of The Singer - he was invited as an outsider to perform and he won the entire Chinese audience over with his magnificence - and from this event he was (and is being) discovered by the rest of the world. Most of his performances are performed live and each one that you watch is more perfect than the one that you watched before. So I am adding a link to his stellar performance of SOS from the Singer competition which is from Gloria Wu's very informative channel - ua-cam.com/video/tf_UIAOWfAU/v-deo.html ☮❤️ Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa
Hi Shireen! For sure, I will be sure to add him as one to watch! I will work on fitting some other artists that others have recommended as well. I can only add about 3-4 reactions a week, so hang in there with me! Thank you for taking some time to comment!
@@larryshairInstead of the earlier link which gives you a lot of background information first, I am also adding the link WITHOUT all the information - just the song - ua-cam.com/video/JEz1qGS0T1Q/v-deo.html ☮️❤️ Put this at the top of your list - you won't have any regrets!!!!
This concert has 12 songs, only three are covers, the other 9 are Aurora originals. Every song is pristine and perfect. Winter bird is another you should experience- no, you must see the entire concert. You will be blown away!
I have been to several concerts with our norwegian "treasure" Aurora, and she is a very extraordinary person. I recommend It happened Quiet for you and The Seed. I think you will love both of them. What makes Aurora so special isnt only her performances, both also her ability to write strong and powerful lyrics. Sje has also done some amazing cover songs like Bowie's Life on Mars. You have a lot of hours of joy in front of you.
Thanks! I plan on reviewing "It Happened Quiet" this evening :) Seed and Running with the Wolves is also on the top of my "to-do" list... Thank you for your comment!
@@larryshair For the reaction of It happened quiet, i would recommend you take a look at this version: Aurora - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current). It is a more accoustic version with only Aurora and her back-up singer on guitar. It is a stripped down version where Aurora "soul" stand out a little bit more than in the other version with big musical arrangements.
All of those songs you mentioned are available at this concert. Enjoy. Btw. You already reviewed Murder Song so feel free to check out her version of it at this concert on your own. It’s the second to last song. She closes the concert with David Bowie’s Is there life on Mars as well. Spectacular all them. Enjoy.
Aurora is pure magic✨ to get a deep dive into her artistry and spirit I would highly recommend to check out the concert “Haik”. A specially the song “The seed”. The concert is a part of a Aurora tribute day, arranged by a great Norwegian radio host. The concert was actually a surprise , where they gathered her family, friends and fans in the woods where she spent a lot of time during her childhood. It’s a great one cus it captures everything she does and is perfectly through both her amazing performance, but also through an actual dialog with the audience. Stay true, stay safe✌🏽
Her song "In boxes" might surprise you xD It's pretty nice, not her usual stuff. Also I really like "Animal", live at The Current, along with "It Happened Quiet" at the same place.
Reactors usually start with this full concert Concert live at KEXP last HAIK full documentary and concert ( in order of album releases and can follow her artistic transformation)
my other favourite version of this song is the 'Stripped Vevo UK LIFT' version, it's absolutely stunning (as this song always is) but it's just her and a few a cappella singers. You should definitely look that one up. She is so amazing live, I saw her before the pandemic and I literally cried while standing there watching her through about 3 songs because she's so perfect
“It happened Quiet” Live at the Current. Just her and a female guitarist who sings back up. Talk about getting lost. Aurora is always reaching for that which cannot be touched. Something that hides in the white lands. In the land of daybreak. For a moment alone with the unbeknown. Behind that door locked by the pale blue.
If you watch this concert, put on the closed caption for translations in English. In the beginning she comments on this event and between songs she makes some amusing remarks.

4,000 PEOPLE PER CONCERT!!! ... I can't wait to see it on PC ... I haven't seen it yet. 🙂
And how many concerts were there?? So many, right? One of the best seasons and momemts of sky, with Aurora featuring the way she did. Just freaking amazing!!!!@@Nimoot
shes an angel
Bro it's been a while since I revisited aurora music and I tear up almost every time
I have seen this video several hundred times.....
Always have a box of tissues to hand with an Aurora song. So many rend the heart.
Thanks man! I wish I was a fly on the wall when you guys break this stuff down lol
This girl crushes me...
You can cry if you want to
The song of the soul, wordless, timeless, full heart vocals ❤️❤️❤️. When my “cup runneth over.” Emotion utterly human and completely sacred; one and the same.
This concert is just magical, I really recommend Lucky and Winter bird at the same place
Good picks.
This concert is easily in my top 10 recorded shows of all time....and there's some amazing shows on that list. But this is beyond something special.
And oddly enough, Winter Bird and Lucky are my two favorites from this one. :) But literally every single song is mesmerizing. I've watched this from beginning to end about 10 times now....about once a month for a year now. It's THAT good.
I'm frigging bawling
Right???!!!
Never say sorry for tears, emotion is a part of our souls, we should never apologize for that. After all, that's sort of what the song is about.
Eines der wunderschönsten Konzerte die ich je gehört und gesehen habe...hatte nur geweint vor berührtheit:)
Vielen Dank! Alle ihre Auftritte waren bisher unglaublich. Vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare!
"It Happened Quiet" (Live at The Current) - ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html
two voices and a guitar, chilling harmonies
in my opinion live and without shoes she gives her best - "life is better without shoes" she says
Nice! "It Happened in the Quiet" is next up on my list this evening! Thank you Marco!
yes, another masterpiece. You got it. thanks.
She gets me every time as well, she is something very very special like no other artist today.
I would also say that Live at the Current is the one to see.
Nothing wrong with crying and nothing wrong with plaid my man!
I lost my mum on 31.08, only aged 62. We had no contact over 11 months after a dispute. This song touched me the most cause for mum i was still ,her little boy' and i wished to see her again peacfully
I'm so very sorry.
@@larryshair thank you very much
She is great should do the seed live at Haik aswell
the music video is amazing also because it displays the theme really well
Now you're hooked and you will never be free - don't worry it's a great feeling!
I've been happily enthralled since hearing her song for the John Lewis Christmas advert in 2015.
I listen to her every day and no matter how good I'm feeling she always makes me feel even better.
Her interviews are comically magical and magically comical - which is fun.
Had to come back to check this out.
Happy New Year Larry.
Thanks Shawn! Great to see you here again! Happy New Year, bud!
Aurora has a way of taking you into the song with her. Kinda magical..
Totally agree! Thank you!
Can't wait for your reaction to lucky at the same concert welcome abord the AURORA train
Look at her live performance at KEXP Reykjavik 2019....superb.
I cry when i hear this song❤
@@larryshair Thanks SO much Larry - when you do get to Dimash brace yourself for your subscribers to multiply by the thousands!!!! 😍
@@larryshairInstead of the earlier link which gives you a lot of background information first, I am also adding the link WITHOUT all the information - just the song - ua-cam.com/video/JEz1qGS0T1Q/v-deo.html ☮️❤️ Put this at the top of your list - you won't have any regrets!!!!
the cover songs she sings you should try too
Yes, I have had several people tell me the same. I will be sure to include them on the list :)
Sne sung your soul out. Don’t worry she’s doing it to us all.
This concert has 12 songs, only three are covers, the other 9 are Aurora originals. Every song is pristine and perfect. Winter bird is another you should experience- no, you must see the entire concert. You will be blown away!
For a while i think maby you saw an Angel singing...❤️
Agreed!!!!
Well done, Larry!
Thanks Christian!
My god what have I just heard?????
I love this concert and recommend Lucky and Soft universe ....basically they are all great
I have been to several concerts with our norwegian "treasure" Aurora, and she is a very extraordinary person.
Thank you JD! "It Happened Quiet" is next up this evening! Thank you for your comment!
Reactors usually start with this full concert
Concert live at KEXP
last HAIK full documentary and concert
( in order of album releases and can follow her artistic transformation)
LIttle boy in the grass please please do mahogony session. It has a touch that is so amazing, it's live on a boat, and she puts her soul out there!
Hi Lauren! Yes, I will definitely put them on the growing list :)
Susanne Sundfør is another great norwegian singer/songwriter. ❤️
❤️
my other favourite version of this song is the 'Stripped Vevo UK LIFT' version, it's absolutely stunning (as this song always is) but it's just her and a few a cappella singers. You should definitely look that one up.
She is so amazing live, I saw her before the pandemic and I literally cried while standing there watching her through about 3 songs because she's so perfect
Lucky!
Lucky is coming! "It Happened in the Quiet" is next up on my list this evening and then Lucky later this week. Thank you for your suggestion!
For another approach to this masterpiece I highly recommend her Vevo stripped version of this song.
The Red Bull Sessions are a great place to start to learn more about Aurora, her music and how she moves in the moment. ❤️💕
I cried too & have no idea why. I think it’s just her voice.
Right!???! She is so dang innocent.
Hi David! You are not alone in your recommendation! "It Happened Quiet" will be reviewed this evening. Thank you for your comment!
If you watch this concert, put on the closed caption for translations in English. In the beginning she comments on this event and between songs she makes some amusing remarks.
Thank you Marion! I will be sure to watch the concert once I have finished with the reviews for sure. Many viewers have recommended it
❤️❤️❤️
I recommand infections of a different kind live haïk concert , very powerfull and beautiful 👍
Thank you Agnes! "It Happened Quiet" will be reviewed this evening as well. Thank you for your comment!
@@larryshair great choice too 😉 it happened quiet live at the current is just magical 😉
