The Ace McCloud has such a nice crisp paintjob. I love how the yellow, bright blue, and silver can all stand out so nicely while still all being such bright colors. Amazing work on these amazing toys.
Can't believe someone actually did this...but I'm glad they did! Two of my childhood favourites. What didn't want to shout 'Power Extreme!" and find themselves covered with a weapon encrusted exosuit to deal with anyone that crossed you. Just me? Oh...fair enough!
Just rewatched that series last month and remembered why I loved it. Also haven't seen the toys since 1987 til recently. Those custom Transformers make it even more awesome.
I was unaware that there was a show to those figures! I’ve seen a few at flea markets and in twitter. How’d that mad man create molds to make such gorgeous figures, they look so crisp 🤩
I know not a jot about Centurions by virtue of taking another 10 years to be bred in my cloning tank, but holy hell those minibots are LUSH in those colours. I'm staggered at how on point the moulding is, Matt's done a superb job!
The retrospective that Micheal Mercy did on the Centurians is the only reason I'm not assuming you made this up. Like the Manta Force and Jugger Morph and Wrestling.
I had the blue guy as a kid with what I assume must have been his default kit. Like a jet or rocket themed thing. My most vivid memory of it was when my nan's dog ate the helmet and yaked it back up. It was ruined.
I'm Scottish of the same vintage, I managed to get Jake Rockwell and Wild Weasel for Christmas one year along with Doc Terror. a pal got Max Ray and Depth Charge, a schoolmate had Ace McLeod. Pretty sure you couldn't get some playsets in the UK like Jake's Devastator.
I have so few actual memories of the centurions but it really stuck with me. I've always wanted to mess with one of the figures but I have never seen one in the wild.
I thought about this toyline during Siege. Like one of the designer's roundabout way to work on it. The way the weapon ports were everywhere and they even had a Centurion drone.
I loved Centurions, watching the series, as part of 'Get Fresh', on ITV, with Gaz Top, Charlotte Hindle and Gilbert, the alien, on Saturdays. I never had the toys, at the time, but have amassed the complete line of what was released. They are brilliant! (Edited, as may spellchecker had changed 'Gaz' into the name of a rather hot-button region of the world)
These remind me so much of Kamen riders. Especially the Green Seaspray and Blue Powerglide. They remind me of Kamen rider Snipe and Blade respectively.
Rex Charger is Cosmos! And GLOWS in the dark! That's so cool! No Crystal Kane? With her colors tho, if she was based on Powerglide, she'd look like Ace. I always thought Max Ray was the hottest Centurion.
I loved Centurions. I had.the three heroes and the evil.doctor. Sadly, my Jake Rockwell took a.tumble from my desk and his leg snapped off. I never got a replacement. I spent hours in my swimming pool with Max Ray (who is actually the coolest, FYI) and his big submarine set. I wish I still had mine.
Someone at the Ruby - Spears company liked the show "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future!" so much that they created a cartoon homage to it, and then Kenner made the toys. It really is too bad The Centurions never took off (much to Ace's chagrin, being a pilot and all...), as I really enjoyed that series. And honestly I thought I was the only one in the world that remembered that show, as I've heard between Zip and Nadda about it for decades, so this is quite the welcome vid for me. I also had one of the figs as a kid (it was a Max Ray except he had Jake Rockwell's helmet. I guess his was in the wash.).
I remember for YEARS (maybe a slight exaggeration) seeing Max Ray in Edinburgh's "what ever you want" store. It was oddly placed as well, two or three of them stacked on this three step set of stairs. I never asked my parents for him cause I thought he would be expensive. Probably wasn't. Ah well I have the Ramen Toys lads now. And if Hasbro doesn't now come up with some official centurionsXtransformer crossovers I will be disappointed!
Max ray ( sg seaspray ) Jake Rockwell ( sg treds ) Ace McLoud ( sg bad boy ) Rex charger ( sg cosmos ) I see some of those custom figures as shattered glass characters
I don't _get_ this crossover but damn some of those colours and stickers are an improvement on the originals. Cosmos should _always_ have glowed in the dark. Beachcomber clearly took some dodgy energon and now thinks he's in the negative universe depicted in The Killing Jar. I'm sure these will please whoever wins them.
I hope I win one cuz it would be very expensive for me to fly all the way to the UK just to enter and lose another raffle. That John Thunder is sexy AF 😮
The recruitment process of the Centurions was heavily reliant on nominative determinism. I’d like an alternate intro voiceover with alternate inappropriate names like ‘rugged ground specialist Alan Pansy’
Fun story: In the eighties i found Centurions on the shelves at Ditchfields toys in Walthamstow, so i sold most of my original Transformers collection to my friends for the funds. Alas, my Mum found the money first and made me buy school shoes with it. I was now bereft of both Transformers and Centurions. An everlasting regret i hold to this day.
Tidbit - Neil Ross whom voices Ace Mcloud in Centurions previously used the same iconic voice for Springer in Transformers.
Love this. I also hope the Mattel Hasbro colab gives us some G1 car modes in the Hot Wheels line.

I'm a simple man. Gavin speaks, I drool as I pretend to understand
Unoriginal man.
Those are all incredible, the details are just so clean!

1:05 "Mini-Con" is way too clever a name...
the colors are pretty. wouldn't mind seeing an official repaint or two based on these guys
The retrospective that Micheal Mercy did on the Centurians is the only reason I'm not assuming you made this up. Like the Manta Force and Jugger Morph and Wrestling.
Man I loved me some Centurions growing up. Saw this on Bluesky btw 😊
I had the blue guy as a kid with what I assume must have been his default kit. Like a jet or rocket themed thing. My most vivid memory of it was when my nan's dog ate the helmet and yaked it back up. It was ruined.
Flipping hell! These look so good I need at least one of them in my collection! POWER.... X-TREME!!!
I've never seen the cartoon, but this is awesome. Yes.
Love to see the Centurions getting attention. Adored the show and toys as a kid.
A glow in the dark Cosmos mold? That's very cool!
I'm Scottish of the same vintage, I managed to get Jake Rockwell and Wild Weasel for Christmas one year along with Doc Terror.

These are incredible, the stickers especially impress me. Also Glow in the Dark Cosmos?! Yes please!
These guys get a certified Gavin “Ooooh yus” 🔥
I have so few actual memories of the centurions but it really stuck with me. I've always wanted to mess with one of the figures but I have never seen one in the wild.
You had me at Centurions! Now I want them all & you tell me,I can’t have them.
I thought about this toyline during Siege. Like one of the designer's roundabout way to work on it. The way the weapon ports were everywhere and they even had a Centurion drone.
Never seen Gavin quite so positive. these must really be good
They’re amazing. I want them all.
I remember Centurions well but had no idea they were a toyline until years later, a lesson in how to NOT market a toy line!

Man i wish i could paint halve as good as Matt!
Entry sent! Sky vault is just too good a name but will have to grab some tickets at the con
I remember having the yellow centurion, I played with him outside and his holes got all full of dirt and he was ruined. That's childhood for ya.
Gav is a man not a machine. Although, his power is extreme. Thanks for ridding me if the dirge if Saturday night TV even for a few minutes 😂😂

As a Centurions fan this is GENIUS! Be careful Matt, Hasbro might ste-IMEAN-borrow that idea.
These look so cool!
Lets go! Skyvault awaaaaay
Amazing work
This reminds me glyos buying the robo-force licence to make their own versions of those characters.
Aw man i missed the giveaway and auction, great video though!

you're too good at making people want toys.
But can you bolt on various weapon and vehicle systems onto them using the 5mm port system??? XD lol

These look even better as a full set. Will they be available to buy at a later time?
You never know!
The figures are all unique one offs
I would very much like that to not be the case
I hope I win one cuz it would be very expensive for me to fly all the way to the UK just to enter and lose another raffle. That John Thunder is sexy AF 😮
Centurions... EXTREME!
Commenting it into the ether, I will own the cosmos power base or my last name isn’t shared with Gavin!
Lol looks like old school happy meal toys 🤣
Nice!
watching it way after the fact, it took me a very long time to realize centurions had... toys?
Nothing screams “covert” like neon pink, purple and orange.
One, two, Legacy Animated Prime is coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door. Five Six, grab your Matrix.
Dope.
Damn son power extreme thouse amazing

Is Lucy missing because someone already claimed her for the monkey shelf? 😂
Hope you're having a good day
