What about the fact that Bruce's female reporter character is wearing roller blades and it's never brought up in the sketch? I kept waiting for a mention and it never happened.
I saw the Vigil Tour when it came to Toronto that year. Maybe it was just because I had nosebleed seats, but I thought the drums could have been mixed louder. Deke IS and always was Living Proof, if you ask me. Can't wait for the reunion tour.
Maybe it's cuz I'm from Lansing but hearing mountains outside of Lansing Michigan made me bust out laughing hard! There are no mountains in Michigan especially Lansing! the funniest part of the entire skit but I guess you have to be there.
the mourning groupies are about my favorite part of this skit. You can pretty much see one or two of them are almost laughing. And that makes it Perfect.
Considering this was made for a local Canadian station, and then it not only went nationwide but also made it to American TV, they did really well. They had opportunity to do other things and some ended up doing so, but only after they rode it out until the shows end. Some of them didn't want to go bigger. That's my understanding of what happened.
It was a joke, as part of the comedy sketch. One they used for Canadian locations many times. Do it once for an American city, and everyone needs to correct them. Edit: .....or just point it out.
To all the people talking about the mountains not being by Michigan, that was part of the sketch. Congrats you found a joke in a comedy sketch, about a fictional situation. Good for you.👏
I just realized after watching probably about 25 KITH clips........ there’s not a single one I didn’t like. And also I should probably get a girlfriend.
It was humour used in a comedy show. Not the first time they used jokes about geographic locations. Just the first you've had the knowledge about it. Very much a subtle joke, and not to be taken as a geography lesson.
I remember your mother had come over to watch this show when I was Just a bunch of LOSER!!!!! Or, my feet had fallen off. Rememburrrrrrr......... just don't fahhhhhharrrrrrrrttttttt! I wish I knew what that meant, but, I 'mean someone had wrote it here.
I love that he's holding a pair of pens like drum sticks. Great little detail.

I thought they were Hall& Oates from the thumbnail. LOL
from the content of the sketch, this might be a Hall and Oates origin story.
I thought the exact same thing!
Me too
Same :-(
That’s the idea
Deke is living proof that a drummer can carry a show.
Lol I thought the skit was going to do puns on the band name, but you have done so :)
He is Living Proof.

What's also hilarious is that there's no mountains outside of Lansing, Michigan.
Kind of the "anti-Spinal Tap;" only the drummer survived.
Should form a supergroup: Spinal Tap + Living Proof= Spliviganal Prooftap
"yeah, well we knew them not you" That killed me for some reason
Lansing is flat as a pancake. Good one!
The mountains outside of Lansing Michigan can be treacherous.
To this day, I'm STILL trying to find the mountains outside Lansing. I should have been able to see them by now...
They look like Hall and Oats
Drinkduck
"Kids in the Hall & Oats"
That’s why I clicked on this video.
Howard Jones
Dammit, I was about to say the same thing.
Those damned Lansing mountains have claimed more victims!
Maybe it's cuz I'm from Lansing but hearing mountains outside of Lansing Michigan made me bust out laughing hard! There are no mountains in Michigan especially Lansing! the funniest part of the entire skit but I guess you have to be there.
I've never been but that made me pause too, I was like "what mountains near Lansing? I don't think the Appalachians go that far north."
"how can you justify touring a drum kit"... man the reverb on that tripped me out.
Lars Ulrich would do exactly this. 🥁 😆
😂
But he'd say "fuckin" a lot more.
and complain that the reporters covering the event were guilty of copyright infringement by showing it on TV.
Well he'd at least get replacements instead of just him up on stage drumming... actually second thought Lars would do this exactly.

I'd type a quote here to highlight how funny it is, but everything out of Mark's mouth makes me laugh equally.
Mountains outside of lansing michigan lol!
I've been trying to find this skit for years! Yes! One of my favorites from this show...
Bruce looks like Six from Blossom
LOL. John Oates!
i know I love the flip brim hat with the flowers on it. So early 90's.
We're 'Partial' to our music.
The funniest part is there aren’t any mountains within 500 miles of Lansing. The closest range, in Michigan, is the Huron Mountains in the UP.
that's what I was thinkin...mountains...in Michigan??? Did they just slip a joke into the newscast?
"The mountains outside Lansing Michigan."
Just how far outside Lansing was this??
I was just getting ready to make similar comment. I used to live in Lansing....years ago.
mountains in Lansing Michigan wtf lmfao
I live in Mount Pleasant, is that "mountain" enough? :D
@3cn3ps leaving an obvious comment, on my comment, and then erasing it immediately. Good for you.
It was a joke within a comedy sketch.
Lmao everytime the American asks something they say " what".
I love Kevin Mcdonald
@@ImpeccableLiving just because their name says UK medic, doesn't mean they aren't Canadian.
Is Bruce wearing rollerblades?
Why didn't Mark make it big. Clearly the talent is there. He's the flip side to Jim Carrey.
castratedrhino77 jim Carey dosent even come close to any of tkith
Ask God.
They all should have been bigger stars.
He's been on Superstore for like seven seasons. That's pretty big.

Thoughts and prayers to their families and friends.
Yes, the Colorado Rockies are indeed outside of Lansing, Michigan.
Could these styles get any more early 90s ahahaha
I’m from Michigan there’s no mountains around Lansing for the record, or in Michigan at all for that matter.
What's Magic Johnson like?
Yes that was my first thought lol
Porcupine? You know, up by Iron Mountain?
Not true. The Porcupine and Huron Mountains ARE in the U.P.
steeltownbrown52 Also the home of Burt Reynolds, John Hughes and Steven Seagal...
Why is Blossom in the press pool?
Mountains outside of Lansing, MI. 😄😄😄😄😄
It was a joke, as part of the comedy sketch. One they used for Canadian locations many times. Do it once for an American city, and everyone needs to correct them. Edit: .....or just point it out.
Bye-Bye Miss Candian pie.....
Daryl Hall and John Oates? Yup it is.
I used to have that red, white and black shirt, underneath.
To all the people talking about the mountains not being by Michigan, that was part of the sketch. Congrats you found a joke in a comedy sketch, about a fictional situation. Good for you.👏
I had a hat like Bruce's back in the day. :-S
God, I remember those
Blossom hat!
Deke would later go on to drum for Tammy
Exactly what I thought.
Why is every other female character played by Mark called Nina?
02:33 Poor sweet drunken chicks from Winnepeg
Haha why is Bruce wearing roller blades?
I never noticed that until now.
90s?
I just realized after watching probably about 25 KITH clips........ there’s not a single one I didn’t like.
And also I should probably get a girlfriend.
Maybe aim for on that like KITH ;)

When a drummer and manager conspire to kill the rest of the band. One them probably cut the brake line. Nice.
Hall and Oates?
Bruce channeling Erica Ehm.
Take out the word BAND...and insert KARDASHIAN!
Hall and Oates
😂
This may sound dumb, but is that reporter a young Anne Heche?
That's the joke, eh?
Heh.
What?
