Never added one but since my Denali in 2014 to present, every vehicle must have it. My hands are always cold and on cool/cold days it helps with the pains. Like they say, It's the little things in life.

I added a heated steering wheel to my 2016 Fusion SE. The upgrade to leather is amazing. I also added paddle shifters at the same time. It's my second favorite upgrade after SYNC3. I made my own harness using OEM pigtails though. WPT-955 and WPT-965.

Price is reasonable for a month of access which is enough to get wiring diagrams and some part numbers. I bought my HSWM used on eBay based on part number. It actually came from an Explorer. Good luck with your mod.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous the Lariat Ultimate package does not include a heated steering wheel. I just picket up my 2022 f250 and did NOT order the option for rain sensing wipers....which is the only way to get heated steering from factory...it is a $165.00 option..... but now, we have to pay almost 10 times that amount to get this installed...... B.S. !

I just recently updated my ford sync up to the 2020 style and love it. I love the quality look of that harness. And I have that exact color key fob case haha.
My truck has adaptive cruise. To purchase the right wheel with heated wheel is $1100.00. The same wheel without adaptive cruise is $800 less. Can adaptive cruise be swapped over from wheel to wheel? Would save a ton of money.
I think I'm gonna take mine apart and see if its as simple as swapping over the extra buttons the adaptive cruise comes with.@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod

I have a 2020 F350 SRX (XL) with Sync 3. I do not have “Climate Control” within Sync but rather manual controls (physical dials and buttons). Will this work for me when I don’t have a Climate category on my 8” screen? Thanks.
Don’t know if I missed it in the beginning but did you start off with disconnecting the negative battery cable ? Given the air bag is being removed that definitely set a code .

Who would ever think the trailer harness module has a part in installing a heated steering wheel lol. wow . i removed that harness in the trailer module to eliminate the auto start/stop, it worked great, but i didn't realize it would prevent my trailer lights to work. Your you tube demos are excellent.

Yo yo. Looking at something’s regarding this. I have a true peasant model XLT. 4in sync. I was looking at getting the 4D tech 8in infotainment. Would I be able to do this with that system. And with that is there a way to add factory style heated and cooled leather seats as well. I can’t find anything on that. Thanks brother

I don't know what year your truck is, but I'm doing a 2016 f250 king ranch and I'm just under 1300 in parts. The largest expense was the wheel. I couldn't find a wrecked platinum but got lucky (or unlucky) and found a heated wheel for just over 900. Ford wanted 1400 just for the wheel.
On the factory remote start, is it possible to add a time delay start for us diesel owners? Granted I live in Arizona so I don’t really ever have cold starts but I just have an issue pre-starting prior to glow plug warm-up
Ok, so dumb question. Since you seem to be extremely knowledgeable about these trucks... I recently ordered/received my new 2021 f350 lariat with the ultimate lariat package and heated/cooled seats and many other bells and whistles.. long story short my head rests are only adjustable up/down.(2way). I know of others with same truck that have a (4way) adjustment. Up/down. Front/back. Does your lariat have a 2way or 4way adjustable head rest? My dealer contacted ford and they said only king ranch,platinum and limited trucks only have 4way adjustments. Im baffled at this. My 2016 f250 xlt even has 4way adjustable head rests. Side note, my damn truck doesn’t have a heated wheel either. Never thought id have to be EXTREMELY specific when ordering a 82k truck that i wanted a heated wheel or adjustable head rests. Heck, never even saw an option to select for a heated wheel and still dont.

can you share the part number for the wheel you ordered? no dealer near me will provide the cross reference - "not per your VIN" for my 2020 F350 STX no active steering, with cruise, with sync
I was told that on 2022 f250 ultimate lariat package that the steering wheel has the heating element in it and you just need the module and to go into forscan and program it Does anyone know if that's true
I honestly couldn't believe that the truck didn't have the heated wheel as front & rear seating is heated Plus for 86k it should have it. Lol Loving it though
Hope you you can help here, I completed the install, activated the controls through forscan. The light comes on the heated wheel icon when activated. I haven't had a chance to drive it for any longer period of time, but after idling in the driveway for about ten minutes I feel absolutely no heat coming from any part of the steering wheel. I have double checked connections and harness plugs, Any ideas? possible mistake in my pin connections? also saw on a thread that you can adjust heat settings on wheel through forscan but have looked in every module and see nothing on heat adjustment.

I wld tbink so, because the mod needs to activated via a scan tool i believe. The BCM still has to know it has a heated wheel

That number is for my superduty per my vin. I have no idea if our vins wld cross the same wheel. Probably, i cannot confirm....

In the US you have to get the auto wipers to get the heated wheel. It is not in the ultimate package…

Heated wheel shld be with rain sensing wiper package. Yed my truck does have 2 way. Was changed from 20 to 21 🤷♂️🤷♂️

I was told that on 2022 f250 ultimate lariat package that the steering wheel has the heating element in it and you just need the module and to go into forscan and program it

Thats false asf. You will confidently need all of these parts like here. Your wheel p/n may be different if you have adaptive cruise

Hope you you can help here, I completed the install, activated the controls through forscan. The light comes on the heated wheel icon when activated. I haven't had a chance to drive it for any longer period of time, but after idling in the driveway for about ten minutes I feel absolutely no heat coming from any part of the steering wheel. I have double checked connections and harness plugs, Any ideas? possible mistake in my pin connections? also saw on a thread that you can adjust heat settings on wheel through forscan but have looked in every module and see nothing on heat adjustment.
