XFM is still essential listening for me almost every day. Rockbusters is the best competition ever broadcast on radio, Idiot Abroad might be the original series on TV and Karl is first and foremost “celebrity” I would want a pint with because he’s not a celebrity by choice - he’s just himself all the time, and he’s the best
Great video as always you 2. Respect to the Canadian Mounties who led the procession for our Queen when she left Westminster Abbey yesterday. They were so good and so professional 🇬🇧🇨🇦
I fuckin love karl dilkington 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣ricky gervias's podcast with all 3 of them is absolutely hilarious. i've got all of them on my phone so i listen to them when i'm driving ❤❤
"Idiot Abroad" is great but after watching Ricky torture Karl so much, I enjoyed "The Moaning of Life" more. In that show we get to see Karl truly having fun at times.
Wait until you get to the Ricky Gervais show full episodes. You'll piss yourselves!! Can't wait for it. You'll get to know Karl better and will want to adopt him. He's a joy! Edit excellent work on the opening and closing with Karl's head and then the monkeys. Talk about attention to detail. 😎
I can honestly say from the first day I stumbled across Karl Pilkington he has brought me more laughs than I ever had before. Not laughs because he's stupid but how he looks at the world. I personally think he's border line genius.
Carl not being able to get his head around something as simple as the infinite amount of monkeys analogy is alway hilarious. He's a gloriously unique man
It's Karl's true character, he just has an opinion on pretty much anything put to him. There are some videos he does with him just giving his opinions to the camera in his home about various topics and those are hilarious and, err, insightful. To say the least. 😆🤣😆🤣
Yes he is . he's been working on that character since before he even met Gervais and merchant writing for newspapers and magazines and being known as a funny man in radio circles well before Gervais although he's not called Graham he's definitely worked on this routine for years its a character an exaggerated version of himself
@@criticalthinker6076 BS.. Ricky’s a decent actor, but no even he can act the level of interest and pure admiration in his face to Karl’s madness. Every show Ricky’s done are all short and sweet. The fact he’s still so intrigued about every unique insight and thing Karl comes out with says it all😌 if he was a made up / exaggerated character, Ricky would’ve got bored and moved on ages ago.
@@criticalthinker6076 inaccurate, I live in London. I've met Karl. This is not an act. He was Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchants radio producer when they hosted XFM back in the day. I remember reading about a lord or something executed during the French Revolution, and he was a bit of a scientist who was due for beheading. He said he would blink every second he counted so his mate could see how long a human lived after it. He blinked about seven times, and that was it. I wasn't there and didn't do any of the counting, but it kind of ties in with what I have heard about the brain dying from a lack of oxygen. I like Karl Pilkington and have watched him, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant for years. There are plenty of laughs there. From comments I have made on UA-cam, I have several people say to me that Karl is actually a comedian himself and it's just an act. I believe that if it is an act he is bloody intelligent and one of the better comedians on the planet. Maybe he is!
It’s not an act he was a technician or something on Ricky’s show and then they started getting to know each other and Ricky thought he was so funny that he should make a tv programme on him
@@casperselka671 That's what I have also heard for many years, and well done to him. However, I have replies from people who have said they personally know him. Karl isn't an act, that's just how he is.. and we can be very sure of it because he's never broken "character", ever.. and we discovered him live on radio.. it was an organic process. Ricky & Steve didn't realise how far the depths of Karl's oddness went, but they gradually found it out week by week on XFM
The funniest thing is he is literally talking about the same experiment. One of my favourite things about Karl is his information filter. He can read something incredibly interesting and actually true and immediately turn it into something absolutely mental and ridiculous. My favourite Karl moment will always be him hearing 'Half Man, Half Biscuit' and just assuming it was a medical condition, when it was actually a band name. What he must have pictured will make me laugh just in random moments throughout the day
Karl his hilarious and that's him. Your just getting started! Ricky Gervais show but I found out about him through "An Idiot Abroad" which is amazing because he doesn't like leaving England and they send him around the world and never really tell him what they have planned for him.
