This may help a little to reduce the huge gap deficit between demand and supply in the route SBC-TPJ-MDU-TEN-NCJ. Another overnight train is required in this route.
A small history of DG-MDU Line. The original line was a single meter gauge, a new line was built from KRR-DG-MDU in late 80's and operated independently. When the entire MS-TPJ-MDU-TEN line were converted to BG under project unigauge, the stretch become a double line.
@@NatarajanC12119 Just saw that video. The DG-MDU broad gauge (BG) line wasn't a part of the Uni Gauge project but was instead an initiative from an earlier project in the 1980s, specifically the KRR-DG-MDU line. The KRR-DG section was inaugurated in 1988 by then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, and initially, two passenger trains operated along this route. However, due to low ridership, train services were suspended on this section for several years, until the DG-MDU stretch was eventually opened. This led to the introduction of the MDU-KRR Link Express, which was coupled with the TPJ-SBC Express at KRR, establishing a direct connection from Madurai (MDU) to Bangalore (SBC). Originally, the KRR-DG section had seven stations, but this number has since been reduced to five.
The Madurai Kodai road had one MG track and one BG track for long time . That meant , not to criss cross each other at one level . The topography also allowed for cross over with one above other .so when the mg was converted to BG ,after deliberations /issues of land acquistion , they kept the alignment as it is rand technically tweaked the rule only for this section. Regardin making this VB taking shorteest route ,skipping Trichy(direct Dindugal Karur) , it wont happen in near future , even if patronage is high .The reason being similar Vijaywada Chennai Vb takes longer route via Renigunta , even if the shortest route patronage is high .These small detours fetch a lot of revenue for the Railways . Having another dedicated VB from Trichy to Bengaluru may not happen in near future .unless the Madurai VB gets extended to Rameswaram , then again that Vb(dedicated from Trichy)when started may not start from Trichy (Trichy may be enroute only). It may get extended to Thanjavur or Karaikudi,. This is justtl a thought

Inspite of multiple representations from Madurai and Trichy people, it has gone to deaf years. , for long Railways has put in the back burner . in the last decade with the exhoribidant fleecing of passengers (by Omni bus operators) travelling to and fro from,Bengaluru from Trichy/Madurai , it has become all the more imperative that train had to sanctioned .This was a golden opportunity( of killing two birds with one stone) . There may be people who may find it ok (economy. Class ) to travel in VB ,as compared to road , given the comfort it offers , at slightly higher price . Now regarding having exclusive VB to Trichy (with extention to Mayiladuthurai), that may take lot of time ,considering other than Trichy people( on the east), a large section of them , on the proposed section, would not be ready to pay such a fare at this juncture . Why is it “pain” for “common people”? Are people traveling in VB trains some billionaires? Are they not common people too, maybe with a tad bit above the average income level?
The finishing is seriously so ugly, the seat back table and the socket area are already losing their paint. A smarter choice would be to use wood or just durable plastic and not enamel white. Indian manufacturing seriously lacks attention to detail. I noticed this overall in even the newest Vande-Bharat train sets No matter the price, few quality control measures have to be standard. Unfortunately that's not the case in India. Sad!
110 kmph is a joke. Come on, this speed was achieved by many countries a century ago. Even a steam locomotive engine achieved a staggering 203 kmph in 1938 which was 86 years ago. Shame on Indian government.
Dude gimme a break , you want 200 kmph in a country as densely populated like India , is not easy , you will have to fence entire stretch or make it elevated. Not to mention 200 kmph can only be achieved in straight tracks...bullet train will soon achieve that. Why don't you ask (prior) Govt why they did not upgrade the tracks ?
@artus198 There are some European countries which are as densely or even more densely populated than India where trains do 200 kmph....even 320 kmph. But yes it is about infrastructure. ..which yes...should have been upgraded a long time ago..
@@ianghose1 - the Europeans might have done it , but very few countries have sustained speeds, these speeds can be achieved in a straight line (in France mainly)... They invested huge amounts of money to get there, which India did not (past govts were struggling to provide a basic service)...even in Japan almost entire stretch of bullet trains is elevated
Why is it the same for the government ? You are not part of this country ? You should feel shame yourself by comments. But we don't . Fake peacefully community account 😅

157 Km
A small history of DG-MDU Line. The original line was a single meter gauge, a new line was built from KRR-DG-MDU in late 80's and operated independently. When the entire MS-TPJ-MDU-TEN line were converted to BG under project unigauge, the stretch become a double line.
Yes, have explained the same in this video - ua-cam.com/video/BmsZX1-YVmM/v-deo.html
Yes. The unigauge part was for the MG line which was present. The BG line laid separate is what I also meant in the video.
Extra distance covering Trichy also makes the train to start way too early from Mdu. 6, 6:15 could be an ideal time.
yes hence mentioned extra travel time for Madurai Passengers
Yes, have explained about the same in a separate video
Though a day time super fast express between madurai & bengaluru via dindigul, karur, namakkal, salem, dharmapuri, hosur had been need of the hour for a very long time, as a passenger What is the logic in spending more money & more time in using a Vande Bharat express going through a a long route????? travelling for an additional 140 kms & spending more fare on it??? If the railways wants to cover trichy let them introduce a new vande bharat train from mayiladuthurai to bengaluru or nagapattinam to bengaluru via kumbakonam, thanjavur, trichy
@@natarajan.agoram the day time superfast from Madurai to Bengaluru (and also Trichy to Bengaluru) has always been the need from avery long time .
Railways also has to allocate VB other railway divisions at one time. Plus the occupancy and revenue . All this has to be taken in 🖼️ the demand , Else why would Vijayawada Chennai run via Renigunta and still be fully occupied
Do this train has catering facility for CC Class or only for E1.
For both classes ( CC & EC ) food options are available

Nice. How was your experience ?
@@NatarajanC12119 It was good Inspire Of having A Day Train From Madurai to Bengaluru it will be great news for those travellers who can visit Madurai to Bengaluru or Bengaluru to madurai Within One day Amenities is same as other Vande Bharat But Compare to Seshadri Express From madurai to Bengaluru apart from different routes it reaches Bengaluru Smvt at 9:20 Minutes whereas Vande Bharat reaching Bct at 7:45 minutes
and TN -MYS Reaching KSR 10:55 From madurai so Much Needed Train From Madurai
Hope you see only travel vlog as well
Happy to interact with you in the comments session ☺️
Madurai Makkal 3 Vande Bharat express 🥳🔥
Its a very good connectivity mostly it will be hogh demand train
Lets see
There could have been a Tirunelveli Bengaluru Vande Bharat and another from Trichy to Bengaluru.
May happen in future, lets see
Bangalore has become VB hub now, especially at BYPL where many VB's would cross each other😅
Yes
Bcz it's hub for money maker ,money and vb can exist only in pairs
This VB is a good one between tpj and bnc,but I doubt for mdu.. mdu- SBC needs a good direct train which can be a overnight one or a vb... But here this train fails to cater mdu-sbc passengers.. tpj-bnc will be benefitted... Hope atleast passengers b/w tpj and SBC use a lot a make this VB a good one.. mdu-sbc good train is needed badly... Hope we get soon..
A pair of VBs which can be like a vaigai and pallavan combo can be operated one from MDU and tpj to sbc.. just a dream to have a pair of VBs like this.. hope more good trains gets introduced.. Hope this VB serves the people and be a hit😊

This section has more demand for overnight trains but this is a welcome move
With the safe potential speed of 160 KM/H... IR should atleast make 100 KM/H average speed for VB & VB sleeper train..
100 average is difficult on 110 fit section. Hopefully tracks are upgraded soon
@@NatarajanC12119 If IR tries to increase all major track speed to 160kmph (as in case of delhi-mumbai) or eventually upto 220kmph then this would be real success & worth paying for..
Nice video . Kindly avoid shots of dirty toilets. description would have been enough
Thank you
Toilets were neat after several uses by the passengers hence showed. The water was rusted hence water appears like that
Rly : has CANCELLED 'ERS.>BANGALORE & Kottam> Chennai Vanda>Bharat Express to facilitie this Train's Service!😵😵😎
Sorry, you are wrong
Trial run of this Madurai VB happened in June and the same rake seen in this video was allocated.
Ernakulam VB rake is in Ernakulam now, they can run it if needed and the timings of both these trains are completely different so no slot issue.
Railways is hell bent on starting new trains to TN from Bengaluru. Why no trains within Karnataka ?? why think only about other states .....
Are you talking about VB trains inside Karnataka ? Please suggest the routes on which you want to see. Most of the VB's are coming to Bengaluru as it is a metropolitan city
Within Karnataka you have DWD SBC,MAQ MAO and KLBG vande bharat and Shimoga Bengaluru,Mangaluru Bengaluru, Bengaluru Hospet and Bengaluru Vijayapura are upcoming ones
i think we have to complain railways for serving food in plastic containers....plastic containers would create a bad effect on body through microplastics leading to many diseases and to environment ecosystem also
what is the big irony is government banned single use plastic 2 years before but still in government corporation, plastics are in use
write your opinions viewers..
Please write to the railway board directly. I dont have much knowledge on this so cant share an opinion
@@NatarajanC12119 Do you know any way to communicate railway through mail or something through internet?

Wonderful video amd commentary 👏. SR needs to skip TPJ and make it start from MDU at 6:15 or 6:30.
Thank you
Another VB, another pain for common people...
Our MPs from Tamilnadu are egg bondas at parliament canteen. Pity
Common people also travel in VB's but I agree regular trains can be introduced as well based on demand
Why is it “pain” for “common people”? Are people traveling in VB trains some billionaires? Are they not common people too, maybe with a tad bit above the average income level?
This train is for common people..
Probably goes faster than the bullet train at 60kph.
The finishing is seriously so ugly, the seat back table and the socket area are already losing their paint. A smarter choice would be to use wood or just durable plastic and not enamel white. Indian manufacturing seriously lacks attention to detail. I noticed this overall in even the newest Vande-Bharat train sets
No matter the price, few quality control measures have to be standard. Unfortunately that's not the case in India. Sad!
I agree. Cost cutting results in such poor finish.

110 kmph is a joke. Come on, this speed was achieved by many countries a century ago. Even a steam locomotive engine achieved a staggering 203 kmph in 1938 which was 86 years ago. Shame on Indian government.
I agree but we are moving ahead. Bengaluru to Jolarpettai, Jolarpettai to Salem 130 upgradation is going on. Soon Madurai route will see the same
Dude gimme a break , you want 200 kmph in a country as densely populated like India , is not easy , you will have to fence entire stretch or make it elevated.

Indian sitting washroom must be stopped and remove immediately with western one. It's a facility that just looks very outdated.
Indian Sitting washroom is the best design for humans to throw out waste ( Squatting is the most effective position for people to poop in ) and not Western one.
Why Modi inaugurate of every Vander Bharat train, no station master are there .. he doesn’t have other works to do .. very shame …
@@ravisrinivasan6629 Politics brother....cheap politics...He is trying to show that previous govt has done nothing and all the development today is his doing...such cheap is the politics level today...if we dig deep a little bit we will see the rot inside....what actually he has done vs what he is trying to show....
I don't understand this negativity. IR is a central govt company,. Moreover, even in the past most roads to stations, stadiums, public areas have been named after Gandhi family. It's democracy bro, silent work without advertisement never translates into votes. Sad but pragmatic. Plus I feel that this @sumantakolay1436 guy above is bringing his ideological bias in development initiative without substantiating the so-called "rot", I'm by no way a fan of BJP but even I wouldn't stoop to the level of unnecessary criticism in irrelevant areas.
I agree on the inauguration part but sadly that is how publicity and politics work. This is will be true for anyone at the top in future to reach people.
@@sumantakolay1436 And actually the previous governments have not done much - for instance the maximum speed was increased to 110 kph in the seventies and remained that even in 2014. Not much improvement in passenger comfort. Investment in railways was sacrificed to keep fares ridiculously low by the previous governments. Even today on many routes the passenger train fares are significantly lower than the bus fares. This needs to change.
@@sskk1617 well what present govt has done by increasing mps to 130kmph?? Have you seen significant decrease in travel-time all over the network??? I can cite you examples with proper evidence where even after mps increased to 130kmph travel time is almost same or at times has increased...
Take diesel routes for example that has got electrified. Most trains are getting electric link(P7 in most cases) in those routes..now show me how much travel time has decreased in those routes for those trains... Railways have already given the narrative that with electrification, speed will increase and travel time will decrease...show me a single zone where this statement is in effect. Watch Sudhanshu mani sir's blog, his podcasts...He invented the vande Bharat, and watch out what he has to say on his own invention...
This govt has done nothing other than trumpetting vande Bharats, that too for their own political gains...Publics are made to believe that they did lots of works, common publics are made fool by them.. actually nothing they did...Read past CAG reports...you will get the picture. Grow up kid🙏🙏
