    8:42 This is inaccurate. The TGV passanger cars are not 19.49 meter long. That is the avrage length. Of the 8 wagons. two wagons are about 21 meters long and the other are just shy of 19 meters long. 19.49 meter is the average length of the 8 wagons. This matters because other vice the math don´t fall out correctly.
    Of all wagons was 19.49 meter long and shorted to 18.49 meter, the train would be 203 meter long in total. But the additional one wagon is not 18.49 meter long, but rather just shy of 18 meter long, There is basically where the extra meters comes from

    I wish we had this in Canada... Considering 51% of the 40 million of us live in 6 big cities in 2-3 general areas shows the need for well-connected regional HSR... Edmonton-Calgary... Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal and of course Vancouver-Seattle-Portland... Heck in the longer-term even a Regina-Saskatoon express train makes sense as does some sort of Maritime HSR network connecting Halifax, Moncton, St John and Fredericton since they are really close together and contain 1.7 million between the two provinces...Which are tiny in comparison to the rest of Canada..

      The world record train of April 3, 2007, is a light version of the commercial version of the TGV POS, shortened by half, modified like the AGV bogies with revised aerodynamics, lightened because the enemy is the weight where all the superfluous had been removed, windshield wiper, pantograph to run in Germany. The tension of the section of line used, increased. The V150 project between the SNCF and Alstom was more than accomplished since it corresponds to 540 km / h. The speed of 574.8 km/hour was beyond their expectations, since the goal was the accomplishment of the V150 project expressed in m/s and not in km/hThe speed of 574.8 km/hour was beyond their expectations, since the goal was the accomplishment of the V150 project expressed in m/s and not in km/h. The world record train, to run for the first time in 2008 on the PARIS-OST-FRANKREICH Süddeutschland network, replaced by the Euroduplex in 2011 for Lyria on the PARIS LYON RHIN RHÔNE NETWORK and in 2019 on PARIS NORD LILLE EUROPE where most of the 19 trainsets handed over to the SNCF will be transformed into TGV DASYE. The TGV M or Avelia Horizon corresponds to the fifth generation of TGV Duplex. Previously, the first generation of Duplex consisted of locomotives from the TGV network. The second generation called TGV DASYE is like on the Ouigo of the SNCF the Voyageurs is made up of TGV POS locomotives. The third and most interesting also on POS locomotive are the Euroduplex or TGV 2N2, in which we find the Océanes and the Ouigo for the Spanish subsidiary of the SNCF. The TGV M is more complicated, the problem of all TGVs is modularity. Except that Alstom does not know, unlike Bombardier which perfectly masters (following its experience in commercial aviation, subsidiary Cannadair and its CRJ range), in association with Siemens like the ICE3 and ICE4. In the United States the Avelia Liberté, which correspond to the Avelia Horizon, but on a single level are built by Bombardier. (End of January 2021 acquisition of Bombardier Transport by Alstom). The TGV Horizon of Alstom's Avelia range is a request from the French government, in the continuity of the TGV Duplex, to replace the very first generation of TGV PSE between Paris, Lyon and Marseille. A first order was placed in 2015 following a call for tenders that could not have escaped Alstom, given the specifications imposed. A first order for 100 10-car trains with two locomotives at each end to limit maintenance, extrapolated from the AGVs that run between Milan, Rome and Venice with ITALO. The particularity of these trains, fully autonomous, capable of making their own diagnosis, is their modularity. The exterior design will be refined, the big news is that the TGV M will be entirely painted without stickers in the colors of the current TGVs or the red accent will be placed on the doors as an invitation to travel differently by this new "M" modularity of the TGV M. In 2018, another order for 15 additional trains intended for international use. The two orders, worth 3 billion euros, represent work until 2030. The first commissioning was to take place for the Paris Games, postponed it was to take place in December 2024, then finally in June 2025. Greetings from Lorient, Frédéric

    That is not progress! The only thing they have done is change the design inside and outside, but technologically there is no change! If not the German, then also the French trains are in a better state compared to the Chinese trains. They are much further along and go much faster. Also look at the rail infrastructure. The way the Chinese lay their tracks is much more innovative and progressive. Knowing that the Chinese trains already go 350 km/h, the "new" European trains are slower. In addition, the MAGLEV technology in China is much further along than in Europe. There they should have a MAGLEV connection within a few years, while in Europe that is not even being discussed. By the way, according to the information I have, the Russian high-speed trains will do even better, because they will reach 400 km/h. The question I ask myself is whether this video is not pure propaganda.

    • @Kuatier
      @Kuatier 6 днів тому

      Bro you really believe the russians will be able to build a train that goes 400 km/h for prolonged period of time, reliable and safe for 30 years? They cant even produce the parts to keep their sapsans as intended. What you spill here sniffs like propaganda. They dont even have the infrastructure for that. Moskau - St Petersburg is 250 km/h.

    • @yves2932
      @yves2932 5 днів тому +3

      In densely populated germany there's often not as much distance between population centers as you'd see in china, or even more - in russia. You can of course increase max speed, but you'll get diminishing returns. Time for braking and accelerating will eat up more and more of the drive time. So the actual difference between 300, 350 or even 400 gm/h max speed might be much smaller than you might imagine when using it on german routes. Hence its less of a priority here to have record braking speeds.

    ICE and technology, the mirror of the myth of the German model that opposes a DB network that is out of breath at a time when the Greens applaud while the cooling towers of nuclear power plants are destroyed with explosives, while opencast coal production has taken on worrying proportions following the war in Ukraine and the difficulties of Nordstreem 1 & 2 in supplying Germans with gas. Deutsche Bahn's rail infrastructure subsidiary, DB InfraGO, has just launched a new program to renovate its infrastructure. The key: a budget of 16.4 billion euros (€ billion) - put forward by the federal government and the Länder - for this year alone, (which corresponds to the abysmal expenditure of Stuttgart 21 around the renewal of its central station). The cause is the state of the rail infrastructure, which has been poorly maintained since the 1994 reform, when DB was transformed into a private company. The state-owned railway company, which remains 100% state-owned, has accumulated such a backlog of investments - estimated at more than €50 billion - that the 33,000-kilometre network is now running out of fuel, while almost 66% of trains arrive on time. Since 1 January 2024, DB InfraGO AG, the new state-owned infrastructure company that combines the resources of the former DB Netz AG and DB Station&Service AG, has been the rail infrastructure company of Deutsche Bahn AG in Germany. It combines the track and station activities of the DBAG Group. The aim of this initiative is to address the ageing and vulnerability of the railway infrastructure. Deutsche Bahn wants to ensure that the ageing of the railway infrastructure is halted. The rail network of German railways, plagued by colossal delays, is considered obsolete and overloaded. By the end of 2030, a total of 355 small and medium-scale measures are planned to improve the quality of the existing network, with an estimated budget of almost 103 billion euros for the 2022 financial year. These projects include infrastructure measures such as additional crossing possibilities, additional signals and track change operations or new platforms. The ageing of the bridges is the most significant concern, in which almost 60 billion euros will have to be invested. As a result, the work zones will be grouped into 40 “high-performance corridors”. In order to transfer rail traffic to the diversion tracks, these have already been renovated in February and March. The first renovation begins on 15 July 2024 between Frankfurt and Mannheim, in the most industrial part of the country. The line is completely closed for five months. The German railway line on the right bank of the Rhine was closed in August for work. The project to extend and improve the railway network between Karlsruhe and Basel is reaching a new milestone this summer. Freight trains are being diverted during the complete closure of the tracks between Rastatt and Baden-Baden. In conclusion High-performance trains at 320 km/h, such as the ICE 3neo, are of no use if the infrastructure, with the exception of the new high-speed lines, NBS & SFS, Neuebaustrecke & Schnellfahrstrecke, does not keep up or is vulnerable as in France by terrorist attacks on its ERTMS installations. Congratulations on your work, greetings from Lorient
