Rev Hang is a feature that not everyone is as happy with as you’re. Something this video and you’re telling us about yourself is that you’re new to driving a manual transmission
Thanks for the comment. I’ve driven manual cars my whole life since I even learned how to drive. The rev hang is deff a bummer but for the normal person they won’t car the extra second. You’re not banging through gears all the time haha
Sheeshh 29mpg on your Si is a little "😬" but thanks for the wiper part lol i always force my wipers a little higher until it has clearance to prop up when i clean lol
@@xksanity a lot of the driving i was doing then was very short less than 5 miles each way. But when I went on long trips I definitely got way higher mpg
there is also the ability to disable what it calls "rev matching" in vehicle settings on the touch screen, will have to test that out no one has said much about it
Hello! To my knowledge it says premium in the manual. You can probably run lower but your gas milage and performance would suffer. Would be best to stick with premium imo.
Premium always run premium with any performance vehicle. Unless you enjoy detonating your engine always run premium fuel 91 or higher. Running a lower octane such as 87,89 is why people are blowing head gaskets and is why all the negative talk about the L15 engines. Always run 91 or higher Regardless of what the manual and or dumba** salespeople tell you
My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). It's a good looking car but once the warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why fuel injectors failed so early they said they see them all the time and $1600-$2500 (must replace all 4) would fix my out of warranty problem and the new injectors warranty is only for 12k/12mos! Made a case with Honda and the person assigned has never called me back once. Called for 3 weeks until I realized the could care less. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice...

I just bought a new 2023 Civic Touring a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t know how to turn the wiper blade maintenance mode on. Thx!
Nice! Glad I could help!
This is a great video. I’m guessing some sales folks won’t got into this amount of detail.
Thanks so much! Im not in sales but it would be cool if they knew these things for sure!
There's also an easter egg underneath the rubber mat at the bottom of the center, arm rest console.
I'll have to check that one out! There's so many in this car!

29 in the city. Im easily getting close to or over 40 on the highway :)
@@letsgosergio6128so all that 2k+ miles you drove in the city?

@@letsgosergio6128 gotcha
What if the car battery is dead and you need to release the electric emergency brake? Is there a wire?
Im not sure. I think with electrical brakes itll be hard to let it hard mechanically without removing a lot of stuff.
Getting the Civic SI in that color hopefully by the end of this month I'm so excited, congrats on your purchase bro
Nice man! Its a blast to drive! Enjoy it!
Got mine last night same color
Awesome video man! Can't wait to get my SI 😁
What calipers on there?
Hello! Those are the stock calipers but I painted them red.
Looks great - special paint?@@letsgosergio6128
The chipped plastic on the trunk release 🤦 from the key
How the hell did you close the gas lid? I need to be able to close that lid. Thanks in advance
Does it have remote engine start?
Hello! It does not come with it but Im sure you could get it if you wanted to.
Wish mine came with blacked out trim
I had to manually do that myself :)
@letsgosergio6128 had to get what I could afford, and that came with that stupid crome trim on the top sides of the windows
Good one. Hope you could have done it in a landscape/horizontal video mode.
Can it's TPMS show psi of each tire?
Ive never tried but i don’t think so sadly.
How did u paint those calipers red. I wanna do that soon. Share please
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I have two other videos showing the process i did! You can see those to know exactly how I did it.
Nice video . Nice shirt. Love Harrisonburg 👍
Go Dukes!
Good to know, thanks for showing us!
You’re Welcome!
good info
Thanks so much!
great info i didbt know
I really want a Si hatchback but i don’t even think that’s a thing 🤷🏻. I think the only way to get a manual hatch would be the sport touring?
Yea sadly the Si is only in the sedan the type r is the hatch
How’d you get the red brake calipers? Does Honda sell a trim with those or did you install them yourself?
Nevermind, just read the other comment. Going to check out the video after this. :)
I want one of these so bad. This vid was cool man. Nice car.
And that up shift thing. Is that what they call rev hang?
Thanks so much! It took me a long time to get one and a lot of calling dealerships for a lower price.
@@letsgosergio6128 I hear dattt
That’s not a rev match, that’s an emissions gremlin called rev hang. A tune and reflashing of the ecu can fix that. Nice video👍🏾
A nice lil clutch n lighter flywheel helps
@@Pari3dgr honestly as a daily driver it isn't bothersome at all, thinking of flashing mine down the road
@@gl00merz I'm thinking the same here buddy... I still have everything stock,.. 2019 si coupe

Is the rev hang really that bad tho?
Quick question off topic from the video, does the si have to run premium fuel or can I run basically any gas from the pump?

wipers can be moved by hand
You're definitely not in the 'Burg; did my undergrad at JMU fwiw
Good content
Great content. Nice hidden features !
Thanks so much!
nice vid. love the small tricks
All those tricks are things that your dealership should explain to you but I know not every salesman does it. Thankfully my dealership did
Thats fair!
@@letsgosergio6128good video tho! There’s a lot of people out there that didn’t know about them and your video helps
@@jesusmarmolejo352 thanks soo much! I just try to make videos people can get something out of them!
correction, "not every salesman *knows* it"
lol..if the windows are down. you dont need a key to get in
Thanks did not know I could roll down the windows like that
This is old technology, is been around us for more than 40 years.
For the wipers up. Shut vehicle off. Then hold wiper switch up for 10 secs. 😉
That makes sense and not having to turn on and off haha!
I won the bet, what do I get??
interesting, My 2022 si came with a spare tire kit. not that Fix-a-Flat crap.
Its deff an option you can buy at least at my dealer it was.

rev hang actually sucks.. sorry
If you dont care about possibly voiding the warranty you can get ktuner and you can remove rev hang
I’m glad I didn’t buy the Civic SI.
