Hi I just found your channel and love your garden, as well as the idea of harvesting the cabbage leaves. I’ve also subscribed to your channel. I’m having small cabbage head problems and should also harvest more leaves. I love the idea of making cole slaw out of them. Thanks so much for the tip. Your garden is lovely.

I love cabbage but I think they are so beautiful I'd grow them just for the beauty if I didn't eat them.
I try to grow them year round for my poultry.
    Thanks for the inspiration 👍

My mother says the same. An old fashioned garden isn’t complete without a cabbage. Thank you! 😊

i don't know if you know it but the LORD used farming to tell a lot of his parables in one that comes to mind he tells to prune to get more fruit. the native Americans used every part of ever thing for some thing so i commend you for you're idea. most every thing from the garden can be used as a treat for you're chickens, or a compost pile. mine love cabbage.when i have a little left over money i well buy a head of cabbage and roll it in the yard the chickens play with it all day. may the LORD keep and bless you.

Yes! The more I study God’s Word in depth, the more I understand just how much farming is mentioned and that makes me smile every time I walk into the garden. Just pure thankfulness for all He has done. God bless you as well! 😊

Just a quick question, do you blanch those leaves before freezing?

I personally don’t. I feel like the internet would advise otherwise, I just know we will go through them pretty quickly and that it would lose “crunchiness” for coleslaw so I figured I better hold off on blanching. Normally otherwise I would on anything else. Hope this helps!
