For a new round of Detroit Tech: Detroit Techno Mix 8 ua-cam.com/video/Ip7MuoM5mAg/v-deo.html Featuring: Inner City, Orlando Voorn, Los Hermanos, DJ Bone, Jay Denham, D-Knox and DJ 3000
My friend told me about your channel and I have to say it's one of the best things he's ever done. The tracks you drop are mind blowing and your mixing is of the highest calibre thanks for sharing your talent with fellow techno soldiers.
Thanks for your kind words man! :) The tracks on your channel are right up my alley. Will have a good listen to expand my wanted list. Keep on spreading the true techno sound!
Groovin away going "I think this guy knows his stuff" then you finish with king Larkin and I'm like "yup this cat knows his shit" thanks for a lovely mix.
@@ApolloJeff i feel blessed to be old enough to have bought this rec when just released along with the stunning LP "Azimuth" on warp records. We always knew we were in for a sonic blessing when heading home with anything on warp, never mind it being from an utter legend of Troit! Kenny's unique style truly stood alone always innovating, packing in georgous bubbly harmonics and arpeggiating scales which you could feel was something special..... ...oh im a bit of a fan of our Kenny.
Agreed! Count me in as a fan too. Couple of months ago i saw an interview/studio tour with him were he explained that he doesn't have any formal music education. I know a lot of artists don't have that but with him it suprised me. The intricacies of his melodies and the skill in making tracks with that many elements working so well. This guy must have been training since he was a kid.
@@ApolloJeff Our man is a prime example of how some cats might not get the education but they've got something ultra special instead that money cant buy and when given the chance viola. I can picture him at a friends house, 7 years old, his pal has a plan: "lets sneak into the garage n have a peek at my dads new keyboard, it does everything man even animal noises" Kenny looks intrigued and fires back "guys can make alien noises on them, lets fire it up" and rest as they say is HISTORY. And it truly is. In hundreds of years when music scholars are having the full works of Mozart on all instruments fused into their neural matrix instantly granting them virtuoso level playing abilities. The course tutor may be prepping a lecture called "the early innovators and forgotten artists who invented house music which since the end of the 20th century has dominated popular music". Instrument led music stayed samey for centuries then 1970's 1980's folk started headin for space on keyboards n dancefloors. Kenny larkin a genius who gets grown men gushin mad music speals. All good and cheers for starting it amigo.
