Well there are different variations on apple pie all over the world. The “American apple pie” style definitely came from England. The English pie originally came from France though and they in turn got the idea from the Turks. I’m pretty sure the first apple pie came out of the Middle East since the apple itself originates from Kazakhstan.

There's so much more American beer available than that! You can get Schlitz, you should be old enough to recall the advert featuring Boston's 'More Than A Feeling' as the music if 1980 is your birth year. You've also been able to get Samuel Adams Boston Lager and vou've been able to get Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in Sainsbury's since *at least* 2005 for example. American beers might not be ubiquitous but you can certainly find them if you're looking.
Re: apple pie, another spurious English claim based on a written recipe being the oldest anyone can find. Given the apple originates east of the Caspian and travelled across Europe first before zrriving to England, it's *vanishingly unlikely* that the first apple pie was English. More likely the apple and the pie arrived in England around the same time, via Romans or Germanic peoples. "Here's a fruit tree and here's a tasty thing you can make with its fruit."

ale and lager both types of beer, ale is fermented quickly and fermented from top down, lagers are fermented at lower temperatures so ferment much more slowly, they also ferment from the bottom up. Also ales often use more hopes so will have a more bitter taste in the end product.

Basically, Busch stole Budweiser from Czechia. And made an inferior version of it. Thanks to the Cold War and Czechia being stuck behind the iron curtain he convinced people his water version is the ‘king of beers’, but in fact Budweiser is the ‘beer of kings’. American beer, like a lot of stuff from the US is not allowed to be sold in the EU. Thankfully.

"Malt is the soul of beer" - I would translate that to a well known german saying: "Hopfen und Malz - Gott erhalt's", which literally translates to: "God perserve hops and malt". This saying by the way suggests that the "Reinheitsgebot" (Germany's beer purity law from the early 1500s) only allows water, hops, malt and yeast to be the only ingredients allowed.

Also, because the noobs wouldn't understand everyone started calling it "leet" instead of the actual "elite"... that's a little lesson from someone who was there when leet was used for the first few times :) AYBABTU !!!!!

In Germany I didn't like Pils. It was very bitter. My favorite was Hefe Weizen (yeast/wheat) like Erdinger. Try it. I like Belgian white beers also like Hoegaarden. But then I like "girly" drinks when it comes to cocktails. I think the % of alcohol is a big reason why Europeans think American beer is watery. But now there are so many craft beers it's not necessary to choose weaker beers in the US.

No it's not. It's the calories. In other words the beer is made with less malt and hops and more fermentables which turn to alcohol - or by adding something to make more of the malt and hops ferment. You can find "lite beer" that is 4.9%, the same strength as Paulaner Munich Lager which is most definitely *not* a light beer.

There is a story runnig around in Czechia about an unsuccessful attempt to recreate one of czech brands in the US midwest. Americans bought the license with proper recipe, same hop plants, malt, copied the brewing tanks to be from the same material even the same shape.
It didn't work. The end-product was different and didn't taste as good as the czech one. Americans were to say it mildly '"unhappy". The Czech brewery insisted it provided all of the necessary stuff they could and Americans insisted they did everything to the letter in recipe. I am not sure if bremasters went to the US themselves, but discussion boiled down to a simple question and simple answer.
Q: "Where do you take your water?"
    A: "From the tap."
It turns out that one thing you cannot copy is the spring from where is water taken.
