Way Down in particular is such a masterpiece, and I love hearing about the details.

People who listen carefully will notice more than a few occasions where Dan develops a previous groove into a new song. Other examples are Needles (from Trip) becomes Canaan (from Black Dub) as well as Frozen (from Belladonna) becomes I Believe in You (from Black Dub) and Tremolo (from Omni, also called Romantic Tremolo from Trip) becomes Fire (from Shine.)
