    It is also so light because of that "only" 3200 W motor. Great choice in my opinion. Inmotion with the absurdly heavy V13 should take a notes :).

    A Lynx with a battery the same or above 3,600wh? Having that Lynx performance and quality that everyone is raving about, and doing my entire commute and rides without worrying about voltage on the last long uphill climb back home that I enjoy with my Master Pro V3? Hmmmm... I don't have a Leaperkim wheel... yet.

      @@boblatkey7160 Yes, I took my InMotion V12 for a 5,242 ft run last year (100.8v 2,500w, 1,750wh). It made it to the top with 50% battery, and regenerative braking on the way down bumped it up to 60%. It's amazing what the mid-range wheels can do for their size, and is why I kept mine. Of course the Lynx is not a midrange wheel, and I'm sure, as you proven, the results are much better.

    I'm going to add something here. I believe that Leaperkim reads through these. This wheel is in early release, so changes could still be made. Here is what I would recommend on this wheel. This is coming from a year-round commuter / rider who doesn't do jumps or hard off-road. 1. PEDALS: The integrated cleats need to be the screw-in kind. The water-draining channels will fill up full of mud / grit / ice and cause foot grip problems if you are riding in inclement weather / terrain conditions. The current Begode pedals, the after-market Nylonove Pedals from Poland, and the Clark Pedals are pretty good. 2. TROLLY HANDLE: Be sure you have a strong trolly handle without wiggle and play. I have to use the low height setting on my 127lb Master Pro V3 when pushing it around the grocery store. Any higher setting, and the handle will break. If this wheel is over 100lbs, than a heavy duty handle is a must! There's a lot of torque on the trolly handle on those sharp turns in the aisles. 3. FENDER: Ride the Sherman L on muddy roads in the rain. Does all that crud flinging off the wheel get all over you, and into every crevice in the housing above the fender (where the shocks and heatsink is?) Mud/sand will stick to heatsink, reducing its cooling ability when summer rolls around. If stuff gets in there during this test, widen/extend the fender. SEAT: I've only discovered seating riding a few months ago, and it's darn convient at times. Not only does a seat let you take a load off your feet on long rides, but a seat is sure handy when you have to wait in line at the checkout counter or having a place to sit when all the tables are full at your favorite eating spot. EVERYTHING ELSE: Looks great!

    Again, do not look at "wattage" declared on that motor, that's just random marketing number. Generally looks fine, though weight gap between Lynx and Sherman-S is small but difference in feeling of it is quite huge. Sherman-L will be heavier, so i am afraid that wheel wont be suitable any more for jumps and trails. (SS is just good all-rounder, heavy but manageable). Nevertheless, it's good that LK just doesn't pump up voltage of system - that if bad for mosfets and gives you only more vmax, though 99.9% of riders just wont use it.
    Imo, they just updated SS with current standard, and it is good, if it works fine - don't fix it. :)

  • @epicurioh
    @epicurioh 24 дні тому +2

    I think the "Hall Anomaly Hotfix" refers to the indefinite ability to run without hall sensors. I'm guessing "hot" refers to how you can "hot swap" the hall sensors' connection to the wheel, from connected to disconnected, like in Jason's video.

    • @epicurioh

    If LeaperKim does read these comments on here, PLEASE PLEASE make the top flat. The top slanting from front to rear make seated riding incredibly difficult, it give the rider way less leverage and forces you to sit up against the rear handle. The sherm S was flat ontop and was way nicer than my 50S patton for seated riding. I will be getting an L here soon! Please make it happen :)

    What i want as a new user is some kind of padding on the side that jabs you on the inside of the calf when you mount it. Nobody seems to do that. Though the round disc shaped ones appear to cradle the leg up and down. Watch how begode beats leaperkim by 4.2v and riders will flock to begode.

    Curious why you think the Sherman L will not be comfortable for seated riding? I would think for a long-range wheel like this, a quality seated riding experience would be critical (at least, it would be for me), so hopefully this turns out to not be true.
    Also, would love to hear your thoughts on the high-speed stability of the L vs. the Lynx. I'm a newer rider, but am pretty certain when it comes time to upgrade I want to go with a Leaperkim wheel. Reports of Lynx wobbliness at speed scare me. Most reviews of the Sherman S say it's a very stable wheel (it's understood any wheel can wobble)...hoping this carries over to the L.

    • @WheelGoodTime
      @WheelGoodTime  23 дні тому

      @@killedbydeath4497 early reports of wobbles on the lynx were from a bad batch of tires - that's been fixed. The Lynx is "pretty stable" at high speed - not as stable as the master pro but still very good, especially with an aftermarket tire. The reason why I don't think seated riding would be super comfortable is because of all the bumps and whatnot there, and the location of the trolley handle makes it difficult to put a seat there and still have use of the trolley handle. 🙂 It won't stop me from getting this wheel though, I think it'll be my next one, personally 🙂

    • @killedbydeath4497
      @killedbydeath4497 22 дні тому

      @WheelGoodTime Thank you for the quick, thoughtful response. Hadn't heard about the tire causing instability on the Lynx - good to know! Thanks also for clarifying on seated riding...guess we'll see what the aftermarket comes up with for a seat. I agree, it does look like it will be challenging to find a solution, but I have confidence clever engineers and product designers will come up with something! Maybe something hinged on the rear handle, like a reverse Lynx Beidou seat that flips up to the rear?
      Still leaning hard toward the Sherm L, but may need to reconsider the Lynx if its stability at speed really isn't that bad. Thanks again, great vids!

      I put over 2,000 miles on my Master Pro V3 since I bought it in March. It's a good wheel, and I like the large battery overhead to alleviate cut-out worries. It's a solid build, and have not had any problems with it. Would recommend 2 years of EUC experience with a 60lb+ wheel if you want to have the best experience, but there was somebody on the Ewheels reviews (it's taken down now) who is using the Master Pro V3 as a starter wheel, so anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

      @@WheelGoodTime i Mean, you do you, but when you are an ambassador for something (wich you are, having a UA-cam Chanel dedicated to it) you should always lead by example. Even at slow speeds, a faceplant is going to f you up. You also don't control external factors, i myself was victim of a hit and run, my speed was limited to 25kph and even with my full motor Helmet i ended up with a brain hemmorage and neurological damage. without i wouldnt have been around.

      I’m neutral. I’m guilty of not gearing up when riding at low speeds and short distances. I've weighed my consequences and determined that the risk is worth it over strapping on full gear. I do put on my bicycle helmet but that's probably more for show. I know that accidents can happen at times. I took a spill not knowing wooden boards are slippery when wet but lucky I was fully geared cuz I was going fast and far.
      Know the consequences and make your own decisions. With that said, there are plenty of new riders out there looking for guidance. Do the right thing. Teach them the way of safe EUCing.

    I had a low speed cutout on lynx, on the trails. Machine did not cut off just stopped balancing. Started wearing more gear after that. Hadn't had one since. On 5.07 I think firmware.

      That's terrible! I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Do you know what caused it? Maybe your dealer is able to provide a little bit of insight?

      I am going to bet this was due to your tilt angle cutoff being set too low. Happened to me on a berm.
