In that kind of situation, just airing it up enough to get out of there would be sufficient !
I know right and they also couldn't determine which tire was low. Which means they were inflated enough to put some more miles in and get somewhere safe. LOL, cool story though, I enjoyed it.
I know right, they could have easily driven away even if it was flat. You can make it over 50 miles with a flat tire, they probably didn't know what they were doing, or something.

I love that line, "you gotta talk crazy to communicate with crazy." So so so true. Having grown up in the northern MN sticks and lived in several big cities in my 20s, with bouts of intl travel, I can say that I've only been really ever afraid in n the middle of nowhere. Not by animals, or storms but crazy people. You gotta out crazy them to walk away w/o a scratch, lol.
Can confirm this sometime will work but others…😂 they call that bluff and then we have to F.A.F.O.😅

The story of the Mother of the Year and her two sons, going from Poland to Russia was absolutely mind boggling! How overtly stupid (withdrawing massive amounts of cash from an atm, in front of so many people in a foreign country and then openly handing it to your son) can you be? And all for what? I really just don’t understand how, or why, people do such stupid things, just to prove that they can. But to do it at the expense of their children’s lives!!! I don’t think I will ever understand!?!🤦🏻♂️

As for stranger danger on the trail you never know anyone anywhere. Even the person who sits next to you on your own couch could flip in a blink of an eye. All it takes is a half a second and your life could be changed permanently 😢

That second story, where the unhinged guy thinks he's being stalked by the hiker. I would have yelled, that I'd be waiting for him at the bottom of the mountain, hiding where he at least expect me to be.

Related to the first story; you can pump a car tire up in about 5 minutes with a bike pump. The psi is lower than a bicycle tire so it is actually easier it just takes a lot more pumps.

What air compressor takes an hour to fill a small tire.... almost as weeny as the owners of it.
For the young girl that learned outdoor skills in Michigan --- cool story! I like the realistic stories, and fear that comes from context. In other words, a 30-40 something yr old, 6'4" grizzled man with a gun, who had a cpl beers --- that scenario wouldn't be scary. He'd either scare the two guys and female, or invite them to his camp for a party. For a 13/14 yr old girl tho? Terrifying. I doubt they would have hurt her, honestly, but it's safest to play it smart. Likely two drunk dumbasses trying to be tough and impress the girl. Maybe a few more drunk 20 yr olds showed up soon after, but they continued on to their campsite far away. The stampede is interesting: I bet deer crapped their deer pants, and rapid hoofs on rock, could seem deafening, when your head is to the ground and adrenaline blows up your sensitivity to hearing. The fact they shot down, only into the pond, makes me think they wanted an opportunity to "safely" shoot some rounds without accidentally murdering someone or going to prison for hitting a bald eagle.

Goodness people. I love these stories infinitely but for sheesh sakes. If you are going to the deep woods without know ing anyone at least carry a pistol with extra ammo and clips. I dont care how safe you think it is or how tough you try to be. Sometimes I think these people actually want to be harmed.

I’ve heard other deep woods stories where people have heard kinda like, native warrior spirits stampeding, so maybe it was something like that and it protected her. I know it’s a stretch, but who knows. I’m glad she made it through safely though 🖤

By the context of your comment, I'm guessing by "brown" you mean that you're Native American (and not Latino, Middle-Eastern, Indian, or South Asian)... My geographical location, my family and friends, and my work --- have made me very close with a lot of Native Americans, and I'm appreciative for my exposure to a very cool culture. I've been invited to Pow Wows and am friends with people who partake in the dancing with elaborate costumes. So, w/o sounding like an idiotic white girl --- I initially thought it was a cpl idiotic drunken college guys with a girl, but, when the drums, whooping, and stampede was described, I have to admit I thought maybe it was a small group of Natives doing some sort of group outdoor training, and they were employing horses as part of an outdoor exhibition and maybe someone brought a small drum? Midnight on reservations involves a lot of shooting up in the air (similar to some Latino groups on Cinco de Mayo? It was a while ago, but I promise I heard this from reliable sources). So, maybe the pond-shooting was just a safe way to send off a cpl rounds, IDK? So, if a small group had horses, the adrenaline this terrified teenage girl felt, would magnify the few horses on shale rock. However, I thought it might just be some dumb drunk dudes, and the stampede was simply deer running from the sound of hunters. Adrenaline is an amazing thing. It magnifies our senses to see, hear, touch, and increases blood flow to our heart and oxygen to our brain so we can breathe slower and think faster. Amazing what built-in defense mechanisms human bodies have!!!
