Hi guys!!! Just a friendly reminder that we are talking about OUR dog in this video, so if your goldendoodle doesn't act the same way, that's okay! I know the comments on this kind of video can get judgemental sometimes, so if you're just here to tell us what we're doing wrong...don't bother haha! Feel free to leave any questions below! ;)
Cara Jane The video of u all going to Panama City Florida was my fav video so y did u remove it I’ve also talked to u on here before when I was in PANANA CITY BEAHC
Thank you for the video! Very helpful! I also have a couple of tips: 1. For the biting you might want to try to invest in buying some bitter apple spray. You can just spraying on your hand or anything you don't wand him to bite. If he puts his mouth on it, it doesn't taste good for Ace, but it's totally safe! 2. The crate is good for them until they adults. Goldendoodles are considered full grown at about 1 year, and it's ok to take the crate away if he doesn't like it. It's mostly for when they're puppies.
Had my little guy, mini golden doodle a week Mom is standard poodle dad is mini golden doodle. Oswald was the smallest in litter only 4 pounds. He’s really a good puppy so far, playful sleeps a lot, not a biter as of yet loves us and our other dog. He’s super confident and outgoing. We will see so far couldn’t be more pleased. Someone home 98% of time here to dote on him.
Look at the crate training videos by Rachel Fusaro! She's amazing. My aussiedoodle didn't like the crate in the beginning and would cry the whole night but now she loves it and goes in whenever she wants to take naps. I give her bones in there and her kong so that she associates that she will only get those things in her crate! Rachel has some more tips like that, def check her out.
Sounds like you are describing my goldendoodle Archie ❤️ I honestly thought he was the only one to use his paw for attention. Archie’s paw is like our voice, it is almost unbelievable to see how he even asks for permission to do something with it 😬 Goldendoodles are the best!
I got my puppy Sophie July 3rd. She's a mini Goldendoodle. She's a blush color, so she's very blonde. I've had five dogs in the past at different times and I've never had a dog that is like this dog. She's almost like a toddler. But she's very smart, very inquisitive, extremely loving, very very very playful and very very sweet. Now I want another one!
I had a 8lb toy poodle and when he was young (under 7) he had so much energy! We would go on 4hr walks and he still had energy left. So the hyper thing is the poodle side.
My husband and I have a 10 months old mini f1b goldendoodle named Teddy. He’s got a laid back personality in most situations, but when it comes to people and dogs he goes crazy with wanting their attention. Before the pandemic my daughter and her kids came over to visit Teddy all the time and we went to puppy kindergarten where he could be with other dogs. Nowadays it’s just my husband and myself. But, what’s great is he’s loving life on life’s terms. We learn from his attitude how we need to be ! Teddy loves tugging, fetching, hiding his toys under beds and couches, short and long road trips, riding in the golf cart, obedience games, ...the list goes on and on. He’s such a funny guy he makes us laugh over the silliest things. Teddy is super smart ! Ace sounds like he’s a wonderful dog and it’s obvious how much the two of you love him. Ace is the hyper version of Teddy, which just goes to show you how every dog has their own unique personality. You’re a delightful couple and Ace is blessed to have you for his parents. ❤️
At his age now he is going into his teenage years. When the dog has floppy ears, you have to take good car of his ears, keeping them clean because they don’t get much air in there. 😊
Our dogs are like the exact same!! Everything funny your dog does that you said in the video, out golden doodle does the same thing! She loves grabbing people’s hands by her mouth and she loves EVERYONE. She does the paw thing too when she wants food😂
Sounds just like my Cassi. She is so hyper and her favorite game is tug of war, with all of her toys. She is only 5 1/2 months but is so strong already!
Great video, the only thing I general don’t understand why the dog has to be in the crate? I have a 7 month old golden doodle which is super hyper too. At night she sleeps Next to my bed, if I go out I give her some activity toys and she’s ok.
We have a 2 year old goldendoodle and he is 111 lbs! But, he is the gentlest, sweetest, most intelligent dog I have ever had! He truly is like a furry human! I call him my angel because he truly is concerned with me all the time. If he feels I am hurt he will come running to check and love on me! Unlike yours, he is a SUPER chill dog - the biggest couch potato. But - as a puppy he was INSANE! So glad he grew out of that, lol! He literally bobs his head when you ask him questions, lol! He also sheds very little - he’s an F1, but very curly. We do find puffs of hair here and there, but nothing major. Never on our clothes or furniture. We wouldn’t trade him for the world! Best dog ever!
Yes to the being crazy with visitors issue!! We have two Goldendoodles and they overwhelm visitors. They are so sweet but this is my only negative. If you figure it out let us know!! Also, I use Zymox for my dogs ears when they get infection and it’s so much cheaper than a vet bill! It may not work for Ace but may be worth a try. Even as a preventative measure.
Hello, sounds like you could benefit for some obedience training or maybe just watch some training videos. Honestly, he sounds like our first puppy, and come to find out we were doing everything wrong when it comes to training you dog. the most important lesson so far, that we were doing the opposite of is ignoring bad behavior and reward good behavior. Like when you were talking about him nipping at your arm and chewing things up. it is so easy to ignore good behavior. like if they are laying down chewing on a toy and being good, its easy to leave them and let them be good. or when they are showing bad behavior like jumping up or biting its easy to be loud or yell or whatever discipline. except they associate any kind of attention even if its negative as reinforcement. so they think since they get attention when they show the bad behavior that it is good and the opposite for good behavior because its ignored. sorry its just a suggestion. could make things a little easier.
So we have a f1b goldendoodle our selves. When we first pick him out of the littler my husband said to me his name is Ace he looks like an Ace. A Month ago a came across your channel because i was searching for a goldendoodle that looked similar to Ace and YOUR doggie totally does even to the name! I am happy i have an idea of how he will look like when he's older he is currently almost 4 months old.
Thanks for all the information. Very informative. I am planning to get one golden doodle. I want the dog to grow big so which generation should I go for? Also, which is easy to take care of male or female?
We have a 10 month old F1B standard goldendoodle, Elvis! He is hyper but is a big cuddler. His personality sounds a lot like Ace. We haven’t gotten any ear infections but he goes to the groomer every 4 weeks and gets them cleaned out.
Cuuute!!! I bet he's adorable! Oh ya, it's definitely good that you keep up with his ears...we probably just need to keep up with it more and we wouldn't have so many issues :/
Hi Eric & Cara. Happy New Year! We have a Husky and a Hound mix. The Husky used to eat our daughters underwear also, socks too. I'd find so many when cleaning the yard. Our hound mix eats super fast too. My daughter puts 3-4 golf balls on top of the food to slow her down ( they would do something similar at the horse farm where she rode). If anyone watching your video decides to get a husky, be ready for the hair. It's everywhere!!! It's so fine, it floats all over. Plus they "blow their coat" twice a year, which is totally unbelievable! Clumps of hair will already be all around the second you've put the vacuum away. Vacuuming and brushing daily are the best ways to keep it down (wish I had the time to do it daily🙂). I really enjoy your videos.
Hi! Thank you!! Same to you! Omg that's crazy!!! Ya I think I would be spending my whole life cleaning the house if Ace shed that much! But huskies are SOOO cute!! We would even get one as our second dog if they didn't shed so much! :/ Love the golf ball tip! We're gonna have to try that! :)
This is the most helpful video I have seen!! We are waiting for our f1b goldendoodle and this is helpful for us to be prepared for our dog - thank you guys so much!!
I love the catching cars 😂 My husband bought me a f1b goldendoodle for Christmas. She looks just like yours. So far she is awesome. She sleeps in crate at night and never cries. She does love to bite and chew though.
I just got one. Idk what i just got myself into 😂 u can never do enough research on this dog. I got a f1 goldendoodle. Doing my research. Nervous but ready to train !
I heard neutering (boys) or spaying (girls) your golden doodle can maybe calm him down a little although I just got him neutered snd he’s a bit calmer but will also keep him living longer.
Can I ask if Ace gets flea and tick prevention, from your research, what do you trust , use, or don't? Biggest hurdle for me as a dog owner, the guilt of using a pesticide on my family member, thoughts?
Cara Jane Were getting a F1B golden doodle puppy from www.coloradosfinestsportingdogs.com/page2-c24vq hopefully the newest litter born! So awesome you have one to, I just found you and I’m so happy you have a golden doodle! So fun to watch them prance around :)
Am glad I ran across your videos. May I ask when you got him fixed? That's something we're trying to figure out and trying to find owner's opinions of, including vets'. We'd like the age to be both before he starts marking, yet would be the right time for our baby's bone growth-wise.
Cara Jane One more question: As far as food. Did your vet ever tell you to shift from puppy food to adult food once your baby reached the appropriate height? Also, did they specify grain-free food? Our breeder recommended grain-free so i personally want to know what you think of this. Again, much appreciated!!
Our vet actually told us that for his breed grain free food could cause heart problems. We had been giving him grain free up until that point. We don’t anymore though. And we switched him to adult food according to what it says on his bag of food as far as age and weight etc. Hope that helps!
Thank you! This is so informative! What breeder did you get Ace from if you don’t mind me asking? We are looking for a doodle and Ace is such a cutie! 😭♥️♥️
Thank you guys for this video. So helpfull, we are waiting for ours will be getting her next month and I was looking for a video where people described more or less how this breed's personality is like, so we can have am idea of what to expect. We have a very calmed pooterrier so we are hoping we get a more active dog since our kids are still teens. We are so excited and anxious to meet ours.
@Cara Jane To avoid ear infections when giving him a bath avoid getting the ears wet. I heard to avoid getting his ears wet because that itself can cause an ear infection. I recommend telling the groomer to avoid getting his ears wet especially inside.
He's such a cutie. One bit of advice, I don't know how you're working with him on the biting hands thing but when our dog would do that we would yell ouch! And let him know he was hurting us and he stopped.
Thank you so much!! We actually tried that because it seems to work for so many people and it worked at the beginning and we were super consistent but after awhile he just didn't care anymore. We always joke that Ace welcomes pain, so he probably thinks that we do too lol! ;)
My dog sounds so similar to ace! He’s a red F1 Goldendoodle. 9 months old and I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks. He’s hyper all the time. His favorite thing is playing with the cat. He eats everything! When he was smaller he loved to eat rocks. Now it’s socks. I try to be so careful to not have any where he can get them but he’s so sneaky! He ate the leg of our dinning room table. He doesn’t like to come in the house from being outside in the backyard. He will try to get you to chase him. He also does the same with guests. I’ve been working with him to not jump and act crazy when my family and I get home and he is doing so good. But all bets are off when it’s a guest. 🙄Lol He doesn’t mind his crate. He sleeps in it every night but he’s a total people dog. He hates being alone and if left to his own he gets destructive. I find lots of bones and chews help!
Eric and I actually laughed out loud when we read the part about the table leg!! I'm kinda surprised Ace hasn't tried something like that yet lol! And bones and chews are some of the only toys he'll pay attention to! ;)
Do F1 and F1b have different faces? F1b should have a slimmer face? Do they have different gait? Poodle runs with a springy gait and golden retriever does not.
My goldendoodle kept alot of ear infections when I first got her but we figured out if we keep the hair pulled out of her ears which our vet does about every 6 weeks she hasnt had an ear infection in about 4 years, and keeping them dry too. My doodle has seasonal allergies as well I give her an Apoquil half pill from our vet for those times and she does great. Lol seems like alot but when all this gets under control they really are quite great!!! You guys are such a sweet little couple!!
Oh cool!! Those are super helpful tips! Wish we had known those from the beginning. Guess we needed to learn the hard way though haha! So true though...when it's all under control everything's amazing! Aww thank you! :)
@@CaraJane I have seen info that they do need to have the hair pulled out of their ears to help curb infections. Apparently it is not deep rooted and for some dogs doesn't even hurt when it is pulled out. It comes out quite easily. Also heard the Zymox works great. Have seen it on Amazon and heard Pet Smart has it.
My dog does the same thing when it comes to jumping on people. It drives me nuts. He doesn’t do it to my husband or me but everyone else he does. My dog also does the teeth thing lol. Your dog has the exact same personality as my goldendoodle.
I will say that sometimes I wish I could carry Ace, but it’s almost impossible and he is 67 pounds. Not sure if that would help with your decision at all but thought I would throw it out there👍🏻
I just bought a mini 3 weeks ago. He's 9 weeks old. I have a 7 & 8 yrs old female bassets. Anyway, the mini gives my 7 year old a good workout. The 8 year old doesn't even bother, and doesn't get involved in active play. I'm not sure how big he's going to be. I don't think he's going to be very big, because he is only 9 lbs. He was 5lbs when I bought him. He's such a fuzzball!
I know what you mean about your G Doodle putting his mouth on your arm because my G Doodle is also one and Macho will jump on the couch and cuddle then he will put his mouth around my wrist and then just go to sleep he is SOOO funny
Awe I just got my baby and his dad was a white Goldendoodle and his mom is a phantom poodle he came out with a beautiful coat “breeder said he had the best” it’s a golden brown on the inside and all white tips (his hair) it’s hard to explain lol

Great video. I learned so much. Suggestions on finding a good breeder?
If you DM me on Instagram I can give you a referral!
Do you have to brush their coats everyday with the comb?
Lol it's good that he has an intimidating bark even if he will end up just befriending any burglers

@@lenavernon9847 my husband bought her for me as a gift. But I believe it was in lancaster off a site called greenfield puppies.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

yesssss!!!! My mini golden doodle basically uses her paw to punch us when she wants something 😂
Omg😂😂
My goldendoodle ate like 8 of my socks. I don’t leave any socks on the floor anymore😅 your dog sounds a lot like my dog
can you share where you got him?
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and being open and honest about pros and cons!
Of course!! :)
Wow your goldendoodle looks perfect nice coat color bright colorful you must shampoo him every week keep him so so clean
We do about twice a month unless he gets extra dirty!
we are planning to get a Goldendoodle, but we are undecided which size we want. Is your dog is a Medium or Small size?
Hi how do you keep Goodlendoodle smell good? My dog smell kinda bad after frequent showers
Can't believe its been a whole year already! I remember watching the vlog when you guys brought him home! So crazy!
Me either!! It went by sooo fast!!!
Such a great vid! Love all the info!! Ace is such a handsome boy! Love all the photos in the beginning, so amazing to see him from pup to grown!! ❤️
yall look like the perfect couple!!
Hey gang, can you tell me if Ace is an F1, F1B or F2? Also is he standard size? He’s just a beaut !

How do you pick one of those calm doodles?
I think I got a chill one compared to Ace haha we walk for 20-30 mins and she sleeps for the rest of the day
Haha, that is definitely the opposite of ace!😂
Loooooooool my golden doodle needs like 4 hours one of fetch on of walks one of running and one at the park
We may be getting a goldendoodle in may!!! I’m so excited
Aww I hope you can! :)
Krazykay me too!! 😁
it’s may!! have you gotten a doggo yet?
Seriously, sounds like your dog is in charge of you guys. Would not want that for my dog. I would suggest seeing a trainer, if it’s not too late
Eric and I actually laughed out loud when we read the part about the table leg!! I'm kinda surprised Ace hasn't tried something like that yet lol! And bones and chews are some of the only toys he'll pay attention to! ;)
How’s it going so far?
@@johnshalek6009 it’s never to late
Do F1 and F1b have different faces? F1b should have a slimmer face? Do they have different gait? Poodle runs with a springy gait and golden retriever does not.
My wife an I have a F1b miniature goldendoodle that’s chocolate. We love him.
Aww they’re the best!!
Hey one quick question. What type is he f1 or f1b?
F1b
do u have the breeder information ... and how much
I have a labradoodle also called Ace he's 10 Months old and him and your Ace are so similar! Maybe it's an Ace thing😂😂
No way!! It must be haha! They're so fun! ;)
Make a loud yelp sound when he mouths your hands. It will signal to him that he is hurting you and he will stop. ;-)
That sweater is soooo pretty!!
Thank you!
How big was your golden doodle at 6 months ?
I would say he was around 40 pounds then!
It's all in how you train them too because my dog is also hyper but I can shut her off within seconds..
You have a pet golden doodle and a little pet sitting to the left of ya! You could train them both at the same time to fetch.
I liked all the info but would have liked to see more of the dog.
U guys are really making me laugh '' love this video '' sounds like u guys really love your dogs''can wait to my wife and I get our Doddle
Hello, I just found your channel and Ace is so adorable. I was wondering what food he eats or the brand of food he eats?
Hi! We switch back-and-forth because he gets bored of his food easily, but we usually use purina or blue buffalo
where did you get your goldendoddles
They have slow feeder bowls for dogs. You should definitely check them out. ♡ Ace is so cute!!
My puppy looks exactly like him .. He’s 6 months ..
My dog does the same thing when it comes to jumping on people. It drives me nuts. He doesn’t do it to my husband or me but everyone else he does. My dog also does the teeth thing lol. Your dog has the exact same personality as my goldendoodle.
Haha no way!!! It seems like there are SO many with this personality!! They’re such a handful but so funny!
what coat type is he loose curly or tight curly ?
Awww I want to get one but I can’t decide on a golden doodle (big dog) or bicho frise(small dog).
You can get a mini doodle or even a micro doodle (they don’t all come in the standard larger size)
I’m so late to the party since this was posted a year ago but I just wanted to say your Christmas decor is super duper cute!❤️
What do you feed your goldendoodle?!
Congrats on your pregnancy and baby! ♥️ I’m 26 weeks today
Thank you so much, and congratulations! I hope everything goes well for you!
Cara Jane thanks ☺️
We just got one. Thanks for the video.
Congrats! Hope it helped! 😊
Happy Third birthday 🎊🥳
I'm on the fence between a standard that gets to 80 pounds or a mini ... upto 40 pounds..anyone have a mini
Loved your video your dog is so cute!
Thank you so much, Isla! :)
I know what you mean about your G Doodle putting his mouth on your arm because my G Doodle is also one and Macho will jump on the couch and cuddle then he will put his mouth around my wrist and then just go to sleep he is SOOO funny
Where’d you get this beauty?
Message me on Instagram for details!😊
Is a phantom?
Every time you guys said "tug OF war" i couldn't stop cringing bc everyone ik says "tug a war" lmao
I’m getting a girl goldendoodle I have a phantom boy and I’m going to breed them one time for beautiful puppies.
Awe I just got my baby and his dad was a white Goldendoodle and his mom is a phantom poodle he came out with a beautiful coat “breeder said he had the best” it’s a golden brown on the inside and all white tips (his hair) it’s hard to explain lol
Nice video, but we barely saw what your doodle looks like at 1 years old.
Live in cali for a f1b they want 4 thousand
my golden doodle is exactly the same
Here's a picture of her!
Serena (Louisiana)
Hmm, having trouble with the pic, lol. Will try to figure it out 🤦♀️
Aww do you have instagram?? You can send it to me on there! :)
