You’re videos are amazing I love watching them. I’m getting a Aussiedoodle in 2021 and I’m getting everything on your list. I love people who make these videos.
Front clip harnesses work a lot better for leash pullers and are more comfortable for the dog when compared to pinch, prong or "smart" collars. Otherwise good list!
Front clip harnesses have been known to cause injuries in dogs. If your dog pulls, do not use tools and special harnesses to train them. Train them the heel command off leash without even walking. Stand next to a wall and lure your dog into the heel position. I personally like them to circle next to me, instead of going around me. After they know the heel position, start taking a few steps while holding the treat in front of them. Eventually, they will know that heel means to walk beside you. Once they can do it off leash inside, and outside in a fenced area, then add the leash. Heel starts off leash! I trained my grandmas Aussie to heel when he was only 4 months old because I trained him the position first while we were off leash inside of the house, he walks perfectly. All dogs should be trained how to do intermediate obedience, there are no exceptions. If you use tools to "train" your dog, you are doing it wrong. If you use a special collar, you aren't training the dog, the collar is, then when you don't use that specific collar, they will pull because they haven't been trained. I'm 18 and I've trained two of my own service dogs, both of them were rescues, I've also trained a Corgi, Aussie, multiple Pittie mixes, an Aussie, Chihuahuas, Bullys, a German Shepherd, multiple mutts, a Border Collie, a few Great Pyrenees, a Swiss Shepherd, a Yorkie, an Australian Cattle dog, two Schipperkes, a white fluffy mutt, and MULTIPLE other dogs. Dog training is one of the easiest things you can do. I'm getting my next service dog prospect next month. I trained my first and second service dog an hour a day. My 2nd just retired and I still train him 30 minutes a day. If you can't take the time to train your dog, don't get one. Dogs are like children, they need to play, they need to be taught, they need to exercise, they need to do brain games. Training a dog is like being a teacher to children, if you make things boring and you yell, they won't learn anything and they will hate you. If you make things fun, they will have fun, get excited, and learn!
I use the Hearth Rated bags too! I love them, the best bags I have found over the 8 years I've had my yorkie. We usually get the plain ones but I recently grabbed the lavender, per my husbands request lol, and they do smell amazing! Thanks for sharing this info! Even for a seasoned dog owner, we can always learn new tricks!

First off thank you so much for your video! I'm getting a goldendoodle this sunday and it really helped! Everybody and every dog is different you do you and what works for you and your cute puppy! 💜
Ivy is cute. I love Golden Retrievers, Labrador retrievers, and Australian shepherds so I will likely end up with either of those breeds or a mix with one of the breeds. Personally, I don't mind a dog that sheds, means more house cleaning but my favorite dog breeds do shed.
Do NOT buy a mixed dog. If you want a mutt, adopt one. A good breeder will NEVER breed a mutt. Please adopt or buy from an ethical breeder that shows their dogs. If a dog breeder does not show their dogs or participate in sports, they are using the dogs for money. Make sure the dog is health tested if you buy one. I would NOT recommend aussies, not even to my enemies. They are NOT pet dogs, they are working dogs. They are known for having fear issues and behavioral issues, they are very stubborn and need LOTS of exercise and training, you WILL need to take them to a positive reinforcement trainer which is NOT cheap. If you want a great dog, adopt one OR get a poodle or lab from an ethical breeder or from the shelter. Labs are one of the most popular breeds, so finding one at a shelter is very easy. Poodles are basically labradors, but they don't shed and they are too obedient, they are also a LOT smarter. If you want a foolproof companion, get a lab! Goldens are also very good, but they can be pretty goofy. My friend has a golden and he will chase his tail for 30 minutes, he also lays in their outdoor fountain and chases their koi fish. He likes playing in mud and he howls when he is sad, he throws a lot of tantrums. They once took him to the groomer but when they got there, they were closed due to a family emergency, they said he howled and whined all day and he wouldn't even go towards them for a few days, he holds grudges big time. Goldens are kind of like having toddlers.
Thank you for sharing your essentials. I absolutely love the collar ~ so cute! I am getting a petite Goldendoodle in the Summer. Will definitely be going to your list.
Was with you until you pulled out the choke collar. There are much better ways to teach your puppy not to pull on the lead. Disappointed to see it used by people still. Won’t finish watching the video, the fact that you’re willing to use that on your dog put me off completely.
It doesn’t choke her. If you use it correctly, it’s a great learning tool. If you watch my videos and see my posts on Instagram, you would know that we aren’t careless dog owners by any means. Thanks for the view tho ❤️

Hi. This is my first dog, a golden doodle. What kind of slicker brush and comb brush do you recommend? Is there a name brand. I realize you said amazon, but I am in Canada and we have different options here. Thanks, in advance.
When did you notice she calmed down from her puppy nipping and biting? Our goldendoodle is going on 4 months and is getting better but not as calm as your girl 😀 she is so cute!!
I think it really depends on each dogs personality! We do give ivy a lot of toy chewing options so she’s never been interested in biting our fingers or anything. But again, I think each dog is a little different
I want the exact dog you have a female f1b red goldendoodle and I will train it to be an esa for me because I have a lot of anxiety and I get headaches, chills, lightheadedness, sometimes I get dizzy or upset to my stomach and the dog I have rn is old, blind, and has kidney disease so he definitely couldn’t be my esa because he’s the one who needs support lol. I absolutely love goldendoodles and I already have a breeder in mind. I can’t wait to get one.
Do NOT get a goldendoodle. Please research the difference between ESA's and service animals. Service animals are task trained for their handlers disabilities and they can go into public. ESA's are not trained, they are pets and they are NOT allowed ANYWHERE in public unless it is housing, or a pet friendly place. Research the ADA before you get a dog. You will need to train them an hour every day and it is hard work. You will also need to exercise your dog daily. Goldendoodles have a lot of energy and if you can not walk them for an hour every day, they will become aggressive. Only 35-50% of service dogs pass, even program dogs. If you get a goldendoodle, you will set your self up for failure. Get a labrador, they are a lot calmer and they have better temperaments. Go to a breeder that has AKC champion dogs, shows their dogs, does health testing, only has 2 litters a year, only breeds their dams twice before retiring, and retires their dams before the age of 5. If your breeder doesn't do those things, find another one. A good ethical breeder will show their dogs and/or will do sports with their dogs. If you need a service dog, find a working/sporting line, they typically work better since they come from highly trainable lines. A dog from a good breeder will cost at LEAST 4,000 dollars, anything under that is a backyard breeder or a mill, you will not find a good dog from a good breeder under that price. If you can not afford to pay that much, don't get a dog at all. If you can not afford to pay 20,000 dollars in case of a health emergency, don't get a dog. If you can't afford to pay 200+ dollars on dog food monthly, don't get a dog. Dogs are NOT cheap!
@@mobstercrow7515 thank your for this information, but I already know all this stuff. I've already done years of research and it's bold of you to assume I haven't done that research. Also I decided I'm not getting a goldendoodle and instead I will be getting a viszla because I have a job working with dogs and I'm currently in training to be a dog trainer and I know what different breeds are like.
@@Hannah7Banana You clearly do NOT know. You just said the dog will be an ESA. ESA's are not service animals and they are not trained for disabilities. Vizlas do not make good service dogs which decreases the success rate by a LOT! I see a lot of people that get german shepherds for psychiatric work and they fail of course, they are a very emotional breed so the success rate for them is about 15%. You need to do a LOT more research, you are setting yourself up for complete failure. Go to ADA.gov and do some research on service dogs vs ESA's, you do not know the difference.
Choke collar not recommended for pups. You will never teach her this way. Once she gets on a regular collar she will realize its party time. Lol. She will end up having to wear it all the time.
Choke collars and progs are not supposed to be used on puppies anyways, they can severely damage them. This woman has a mutt from a breeder, she doesn't care at all LMAO. A good breeder would never breed a mutt. If you want a mutt, go adopt one.
That's actually very far from the truth. Appropriate shampoo for dogs will not damage the skin at all. A bath as needed will be fine. However, what really screws dogs up is improper and insufficient drying techniques. Most owners don't know how to dry their dogs and it leads to terrible matting on a dog like a doodle.
@@sydschwiets hypoallergenic testing. You swab their saliva and send it to the lab & it tests to see if they're hypoallergenic. It's like tossing a coin with doodle coats. Out of maybe 50 doodles ice groomed, maybe 2 didn't blow coat. The undercoat on them sheds & causes matting more easily than a full poodle, and they're higher maintenance groom wize.
