I disagree. RJ’s contract had to go, and the Knicks were never going to pay IQ. It’s irrational to ignore the fact that had Julius and OG remained healthy, the Knicks were title contenders.
If the Knicks can upgrade the 2/3 while retaining Randle, this offseason is still a major win. Said upgrade could come in the form of PG, Ingram, Dejounte, a Kuz/Deni combination deal with DC, etc…

It wouldn’t be a waste because RJ’s Contract was viewed as a negative around the league and they didn’t want to pay quick all that money to come off the bench. Now with that being said I’m sure they expected to retain him even if his price rises.

Losing OG would be bad but we got out of Paying 50+ mil a year to RJ and IQ. They are solid players but they are not worth 50+ mil. If we lose OG there are a handful of players out there that are worth 40 mil to deepen our bench

@@KnicksFanTV really depends on how the draft goes imo. Some teams might not get the player they wanted and will overpay for the services of Free agents. Kyle Anderson, THT, and Possibly Fultz. Not the best looking names on paper but last playoffs showed us we needed more at Wings and a bit of size at Guard. Do I think they are great replacements no, but if we end up losing OG we need to be open to the mindset of JB, Randle and I Hart being our top 3 players and add players who have tasted playoffs recently.
We can only afford to lose one. OG. Isaiah. Or Mitch. Keep all 3.
