The one thing Celtics and Knicks have that these other teams don't is the defense. We always focus on the players these teams pick up offensively, but Knicks made their defense stronger as well. I still believe Knicks match up best with all teams not just Boston. The Knicks just need to fknd a center now.

Absolutely not. They still have no bench. Overpaying for a 34yr old player may have made them better able to compete, but the knicks will still crush them. We beat them last year with just Brunson. @user-vv4hf1vq7m Beat up Sixers, like how? Maxey was averaging above his season average in the series and he was not injured. Embiid was getting his numbers as well and even had a 50 point game during the series. And we did not have Randle (2nd leading scorer at 24 ppg), No Robison, No Bojan.

Embiid melts in the playoffs. I thought embiid was normal banged up, like everyone else, and checked out the game when Mitch defended him well. Even in the play in game vs the heat, he left when the flow of the game wasn’t flowing his way. Did his check outs to the locker room make sense?
He clearly gets overwhelmed. That’s why he attacked Mitch and threw a tantrum. Maybe he will figure it out but I’m gonna pencil him in to underperform and front run until proven otherwise.

Easy answer. No. Paul George is still Paul George and Embiid is still not healthy. Drummond doesn't fix the Frontline and there is no bench to help. Most importantly they play USA ball so they're gonna be exhausted in the season. Definitely won't be right in the playoffs. Philly is battling Bucks for third this off season. Right now they up

I still see the Celtics, Knicks, and Pacers as better than the 76ers. They really aren’t that special to me. And that’s no hate. They are 4th at best to me. The Pacers will run them up and down the floor. The Knicks barely had there whole team and beat them. And they not seeing the Celtics.
Dont be spoiled by having a bunch of young ironmen playing 48minutes a game every season. These guys need a breather. Most of them would be more effective playing 35-40 minutes. They have to rebuild that bench having lost Quickley and Hartenstien. Do you trust Mitchy to hold up for more than 50 games. Get some break time for Brunson( Nova buddy Lowry). CP’s right. Big 3’s aren’t a thing anymore. You need 1 All-NBA level guy, an All-Star and depth IMO to win in today’s NBA. Philly is great on paper. Really strong starting 5, but same issue as last year - limited bench + injury risks. Also, I love PG but giving a 34 year old $200M over 4 years, in this cap climate, is wild.
Sixers have the higher top-end talent, so an argument can be made that they are the bigger 'threat'. I like to equate 'bigger threat' as the league's 'dark horse'. But WILL they reach the NBA finals? Knicks are more likely. Sixers might overtake as #2 if they're able to fill out their roster with quality role players.

I'm worried about Giannis and Dame figuring things out than I am about the sixers. Embiid and PG can't hold up a full season and both have shaky playoff performances, especially PG. That team has two years together at best.

i think sims can develop, he has shown flashes. for 2 years i was saying "give deuce a chance" (ie, minutes), and when thibs finally did, deuce showed out. i say give sims more minutes during the season to develop some chemistry and rythym.
