Freddy Krueger sweater game on point!
first thing i noticed!
@@nvnchez I didn't notice it until I read the comments!
@@soffiaerla9757 I have no idea! Maybe Anda can tell you.
Added Harvest to my read list, thanks for sharing!
Oh, awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
Ray Bradbury is one of my favorite authors! I love October Country, one of his best! I love short stories as well, I used to write short stories back in college for fun!
going through and liking/saving these videos so when I start reading again I can come back and see what I need to buy, thank you for the recommendations
Hopefully I have recommended something you'll enjoy!
@@AndaKent heck yes there will certainly be something there for me, thanks again ☺
Wow, I just read Do Androids Dream... This year also! Very interesting. Yes, the movies were also good. Also read the Psycho book! Always curious comparing the books to the movies. I liked The Woman in Cabin 10. Thanks for this video.
Androids is great! I really want to do a book vs movie on that, but I'll have to reread it again before I do. Thanks for watching!
Definitely going to pick up "The Harvest" soon! My favorite read of 2020 was "Survivor" by JF Gonzalez, super good but really messed up
Let me know when you do read it if you enjoy it as much as I did. I'm definitely adding this one to my reading list. Thanks for the suggestion!
Love the channel! I read Cunning Folk by Adam Nevill this year and it was fantastic.
Thank you! I'll have to add that to my reading list.
I will have to pick up Harvest! Just found you today; I subbed your channel too. I love your list. :)
It's a good one! Thank you! Glad to have you here.
Solid list. Kudos on the Freddy sweater!
Ooh definitely want to check out Stories from The Twilight Zone! My favorite horror book of this year was Autumncrow by fellow booktuber Cameron Chaney. And love the Freddy Kruger sweater! 🎃 🖤
They are amazing!!! Some of the stories are better/creepier than the shows!!
@@latoyagray3667 Ooh! Nice!
I highly recommend it. It's really awesome to read. I'll have to add this to my reading list. Thanks for the recommendation!
This video was recommended by UA-cam, how have I not found your channel until now! My favourite read from 2020 was The Coffin Path by Katherine Clements. Bookish love from Manchester 🧡📚
Agreed! I thought that I was following all of the Horror Book UA-camrs! Following both of you now!
@@latoyagray3667 thank you 😀
I'm definitely going to add this to my reading list. Thanks for the recommendation!
Love the review, you’ve definitely earned a subscriber in me. I’m currently writing a horror novel which I hope to finish this year. If I finish it, I’ll be sure to send you a copy and hope your able to read it
Oh, that's awesome! I hope you get around to finishing it. I know it isn't an easy process.
@@AndaKent 50% of the novel has been completed
@@fearstation That's amazing! Keep it up.
I was so excited to see 20,000 leagues under the sea on here!
It's such a great book!
The disney film was great.
Love the Freddy sweater...
Thank you!
I think that you would like The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. Thank you for recommending The Woman in Cabin 10.
I'll definitely add this to my reading this. Thanks for the recommendation!
I wish I had more time to read, but maybe il make time for some of the books you recommended
It's definitely hard. I never seem to reach my reading goals. I hope you can find some time for a good book!
LOL, I just realized you're wearing a Freddy Krueger sweater!
Great video - Robert Bloch has been on my To Read list for a while - which is your favorite of his? I'm thinking I need to start with Psycho since the movie is so iconic and I'm curious how it was written as a novel.
Yeah, that's definitely a good place to start! My favorite is called There is a Serpent in Eden. His ability to keep all of the characters in the story separate for the reader is mind blowing. It's about a retirement community that gets an unsuspecting visitor, but I just loved how the story was written.
@@AndaKent Thanks! I will keep that one in mind too!
Oh wow I absolutely LOVE The Twilight Zone so I'm gonna have to definitely find & read that book
Same!
It was such a fun read!
Clive Barker is one of my favorite authors. Id suggest Coldheart Canyon, Imajica, Weave World, The Sacrament, The Scarlett Gospels, Cabal, and the books of blood.
He really is amazing. I do have some of these and some show up on my 2021 best horror books list. I'll definitely add the others to my list of books to buy. Thanks!
Psycho is Awesome. Psycho 2 and Psycho 3 are really good too 😎👍🏻
What was that book by Diana Reed, The Summoning? It sounds good but I can’t find it anywhere?!!
It was by Dana Reed. I found it at a local used bookstore so I'm not sure where to buy one besides with older books. I'm sorry! I looked on amazon and it said it was out of print :/ Hopefully you can find a copy at a bookstore somewhere.
Where is your sweater from??! It´s amazing!
I actually think it was from Hot Topic, but I got it YEARS ago so I'm not sure if they still sell it.
I came here to find a good horror story to get into, but I left realizing I’ve already read almost everything you had on your list this year. Go figure, now I have to find one for myself...how frightening of an idea - being able to choose for myself.
Haha. Sorry I couldn't help you :/
@@AndaKent well you definetely mentioned books I somehow missed. 😅 no apology needed.
I love that top so much
Thank you!
New subbie 🖤
My fav thing ab ur bookshelves is that american phsycho is right next to the bell jar.
😂 they might be a LITTLE different from one another.
She is one hell of a tough girl ! Freddy Kruger came to her in a nightmare, and she kicked his ass, and then took his sweater.! 😎
My top reads this year were pet sematary, deliver us from evil, and the way of kings(fantasy not horror), and books of blood vol. 1. I really want to read the harvest it sounds so good
Those are great reads! Hopefully you get around to Harvest one day. So eerie to think about aliens abducting people without us knowing about it.
@@AndaKent yes! I don't ever wanna experience that
@jessecabellero I read Pet Sematary years ago and loved it!
@@ShannonsChannel it was a really good read one of those you can revisit many times
where'd u get the dope freddy sweater? Sorry to hear that your wedding was ruined :(
I think I actually got it at hot topic years ago. It's all good. It made for a good story haha.
Wow you had hair hair to die for!
Welcome a non horror channel . also for you blade runner and or Electric Sheep review my question on both versions is if empathy is a human trait used to ID a replicants lack there of but what about senseless evil that the replicants seem to get satisfaction from . I think of the spider getting its legs cut off for no reason and in film how they play with you before killing you , curious about your take on it .
Good question. I really want to make this video but there is SO much to unpack here. It's going to take me a while to read the book again and rewatch both films. I'll keep an eye out for this when I do rewatch it again though.
@@AndaKent look forward to it . I think 2049 was gorgeous and captured the feeling of Bladerunner but had problems . Mostly with Dekkard his character seemed forced into the story more than it should have been. Harrison Ford is my favorite actor but much of his stuff felt forced in . That said not seen it since theaters and intend to revisit soon in hopes my opinion changes .
I hated Bladerunner first time I saw it as a kid . Thought I was getting Han Solo or Indiana Jones , instead I got a dirty dark nihilistic movie with little action . The imagery haunted me so I came back to it and is now in my top 10 favorite films . So are Indiana Jones and Star Wars .
@@gcaplan1 I can see why the movie wouldn't be your favorite as a kid haha. Definitely more of a thinker than an action film. My problem with the remake was Jared Leto. I grew up watching in on My So Called Life and I could not take him seriously as a bad guy. He's too pretty haha.
@@AndaKent I wasn’t watching My So Called Life my 90s childhood tv was mostly X-Files and Seinfeld .
But do think Jared Leto is very talented . Did you know he is in a cult ? I think he is a leader of it . He was with the cult doing whatever in the desert for months they come out shocked to learn of Covid lockdowns .
I did like him in Bladerunner 2049 , only time I didn’t was in Suicide Squad but blame direction and writing not his efforts .
@@gcaplan1 Oh yeah. Requiem for a Dream is fantastic! I agree about Joker, too. I just can't take him seriously as a bad guy. I did hear something about a cult. Is it like a drinking the kool-aid kinda thing?
Are you doing a best horror published in 2020? Would love to hear your thoughts.
I really didn't read too much published this year but this is definitely a good idea for the end of 2021. Sorry to disappoint :(
You should write a book about how your wedding was ruined. Turn it into horror.
Haha! That would definitely be a therapeutic way to handle the situation. I like the idea!
Demon potatoes 😈🥔
Sister would you review NORTH SUNSET by TENDOLLOR available from amazon
I can't find this one :/
@@AndaKent sorry sister it's late now cause the book was banned and romoved from Amazon for the horror and violence.......we should wait sis,I'll notify you as it published as paper back
@@palanirajan2261 Sounds good, thanks.
Okay thanks sister
I would not put Electric Sheep in Horror genre. Its more SciFi. The Devil all the time, the movie, definitely not horror (no dread or atmosphere), but I did like it. Will read the book.
Yeah, I had a few other genres in here. The Devil all the Time movie is definitely harsher than the movie but I'm not really sure what genre it belongs to. It's an amazing read though!
I really enjoyed The Merciless Series by Danielle Vega.
Oh, I'll definitely have to add this to my reading list. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@AndaKent You’re welcome! It’s very graphic but a very good horror read!
“Uglier than you think. UA-cam: Joseph Smith HORROR mansion"
I literally just started electric sheep last night! 😏
Let me know what you think!
@@AndaKent great read surprisingly I've never seen either blade runner films so it'll be fun to compare and contrast, makes me want to play cyberpunk lol.
@@dooommusic1987 Ohhhh! I hope you love Bladerunner as much as I do. It truly is an amazing film. It definitely looks similar to the game haha.
@@AndaKent I'm sure I will I love that kind of stuff. Thanks for the response your content is phenomenal!!! 🥰🥰🥰🙌🙌🙌
@@dooommusic1987 Thank you so much!
