I have been using fleece for my two skinny guinea pigs Harriet and Clementine. I do tend layer my fleece, but lately my two spunky girls have been playing tricks and hiding poop under the layers, lol! Love the eco sheets ! I learned from you, thank you and never have gone back. I have also found that it cleans better too! With my skinnies, my cleaning schedules varies as I spot clean several times a day and my girls will not pee in favorite cozy or hides and can go longer, but then there are times, especially when they are in heat, it's a pee feast and I am doing multi changes, even with layers. I look at it as labor of love and it's also bonding time with my girls and I am singing silly songs and talking to them---love time spent even when cleaning!
Holy moly that's a lot of piggies ❤I have 4 piggies and daily changing the fleece & laundry is a must❤! God bless you and the wonderful animals you take time to care for ❤
Great Video Scotty! Thank you so much for your information! I have 5 piggies and 4 cages … I have to clean daily especially the skinny piggies … I really appreciate you and your channel! Love&Light from Temecula 🤍🤍🐷🐷
I do the exact same! We get some great veggies in the summer. I also like to hose down the fleece and let it hang outside before I wash it (when the weather is warm enough)
Before washing clothes you can run the clean cycle on the washing machine with some bleach or maybe white vinegar. Or can run a short regular cycle with bleach/white vinegar
I use fleece as well. but I clean my babies everyday so they don't smell. But everyone is different. Lol I think of it like this... would I want to sit in a dirty house? No I wouldn't, so I don't make my fur babies. But it's up to you. Shout out scotty love your channel & your big ❤️ 💙 💜 heart
Hii Scott! I only have two piggies, in a 3 x5 c &c cage in my living room Im also a fleece fan. I spot clean, replace the worst pee pads in the morning then thoroufh clean ib rhe afternoon.Base liner gets replaced a about t every week Smaller pads replaced every day. Ifind the washable dog pads useful. Unscented laundry sheets & some vinegar very useful too.I usea laundry bag for yukkiest!
I clean my 2 by 4 cage, where my piggies stay at night, every day. I clean the towels on the floor of my pig exercise pen ( 54 square feet ) every third day.
Ms Nini for the first time has spiky food residue under her chin that is bugging her. So sometime this weekend first thing I am going to give her the first bath I have ever given her with Head and Shoulders. I would use conditioner but the one I use occasionally has scent that doesn't bother me but I think I wlll spare Nini it. For the first time ever in giving baths I am going to try a little container in the sink.

I use a free and clear detergent, white vinegar and for really grungy pads you can add Borax cleaner and it helps!
Happy holidays Scotty! Love watching your videos. Wishing you and all the piggies much joy and happiness 🎅

I dump out my fleeces right in my garden. Excellent mulch (leftover hay) and fertilizer (poops) courtesy of our dear piggies :)

I usually just wash my bath mats and beach towels
Yep, that's exactly what I do. The white vinegar goes in with the piggie fleece, and it never smells out of the dryer 👍

I have 5 piggies. I do daily poop spot-cleaning, and once-a-week fleece/full cage cleaning.
Yep, we have 7 piggie cages so one or two get cleaned just about every day. Spreading it out helps.
I used to use wood shavings. It was a thick layer. I would spot clean every day and then change everything at least 5/6 days.
I clean my 2 by 4 cage, where my piggies stay at night, every day. I clean the towels on the floor of my pig exercise pen ( 54 square feet ) every third day.

The pig room absorbent mats are awesome at absorbing urine my piggies don’t have wet bottoms anymore since switching to them.
