Hi friends, if you are fair-light skinned, I would not blind by the chantecaille future skin gel foundation. The colors run way dark even when they are called things like ivory and vanilla! I went to Nordstrom and color matched first before buying!
I love your videos and really appreciate the time you take going through the concealers. I have very dark circles and you have given me inspiration that I CAN cover those babies up successfully. I would love to hear secrets about “bags under the eyes” as well. Thanks!
I am OBSESSED with the Sisley in shade 1! I’m light skinned with dark circles and I love this peach shade! I also love how long the tube lasts, it’s been over a year already, and it still isn’t empty! A little goes a long way! 😍 For reference I’m 45 and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines.
@@sussannekeith5676 Yesssss!!! And when you consider how long it lasts, it’s actually pretty affordable! 😝 I always like to justify my pricey purchases! 🤣
Ok I need the Jane and the Chantecaille! I just need to get to a counter for a shade match. LOVED this video, Mandy! I have the Clinique, Fitglow and Lawless already. I have tons of darkness as well, Mandy! Thank you!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I do love the Chantaille for concealer! I don't pull it out daily just due to the size and I guess hassle of it. I don't use concealer daily but it is really nice! I'm 61, dry skin and wear my makeup 14 hrs a day it does look exactly the same at the end of the day!
I love the Clinique concealer (thanks to your recommendation)!! It’s amazing and every time I wear it, I’m always impressed. I really like the Bobbi brown corrector stick - it’s a top favorite for covering dark circles and stays in place all day. I also love the original Jane iredale corrector in the pot (another one of your recommendations 😊). Id like to try the lawless and the Jane enlighten plus! Actually I’d like to try them all 😂
Oh man, I want to try all of these! I am a concealer junkie, lol. I’m not sure if I’ve ever told you this Mandy but I too have genetic dark circles. It’s easily, the thing I’m most self conscious of and I haven’t left the house without makeup since I could wear makeup (high school) because of my dark circles. Since watching you, I’ve realized how beautiful you are, with and without makeup, and it’s changed my perspective. I’ve started to realize that perhaps others don’t see me the way I see myself and I’ve actually left the house without makeup a few times over the last year or so. Anyways, it’s a big deal for me and I wanted to let you know because you’ve had a big impact on my self esteem and reframing how I think of myself (with or without makeup). ❤ On another completely random note, I wanted to let you know I got a sample of Bronze Tonka after watching your fragrance Scotland video. I wore it yesterday and fell in love and literally ordered a bottle today! lol, it’s soooo good and I’m so excited! I also own Bleu Turquoise and am obsessed with that one too!! I noticed they both have Chypre oil (sp??) and so I think I’m drawn to that note. Have you tried Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks? It has a similar vibe to Bleu Turquoise and Bronze Tonka, imo. Sorry for the long message but I just had to share with you. Thx so much for talking about this fabulous fragrance! I can’t wait to get my bottle! ❤❤
Oh my word, this made my day! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this. If I could do this for one person, every video I have made is worth it. And I am so so happy that you love Bleu Turquoise and Bronze Tonka. I love that we have the same taste in scents.
Such a good video, Mandy! What do you use on your elderly clients over 75 - great grandmother of the bride perhaps??? for dark upper eyelids? I also have very deep-set eyes, so any darkness on my lids makes it look like just dark holes in my head, so I would like to color correct my eyelids, hopefully with the same product as inner corners and under eyes. Colorescience corrector creases a lot and doesn't really dry down. Yes, I expect that on old eyelids. Thank you. I've learned so much from your expertise and sharing what is good for not just you, but your clients too.
I will use whatever concealer I use under their eyes, which most of the time is the Clinique one I talked about here. That is what I carry in my kit for dry under eyes. But I also always set with some kind of powder. Nothing really has a chance to set down on the lids because they are constantly moving. Hope this helps!
Great product review..ty. I need to get thru my concealers before I make anymore purchases!😄 I love the Laura Mercier Corrector/Concealer stick, Armani concealer, Bobby Brown, and Flower Beauty. Elf gets an Honorable Mention!😂😂
Best video ever!!! Mandy, have you tried the Fenty We’re Even Concealer? I’d like to know how it compares to the Chantecaille foundation under the eyes! 🤩
Hi Mandy! Great vid! I did try the Jane Iredale enlighten plus concealer but I’m in my late 50s and it creased a lot on me even with the tiniest amount. I had an old Circle Delete concealer from Jane so I dug it out and wow, what a difference! It works so well for my aging eyes that I immediately ordered a new one. I apply with my fingertip. I have a question/suggestion for a video; you’ve mentioned before that you visit an esthetician periodically. What “procedures” does she do for you? How did you find a good one? Are any of the things she does for you something that can be done at home? Why do you prefer going to her? Are they very expensive? Your skin is just about perfect so of course we’d love to know if we can achieve similar results. 😍😊
So funny how everyone is so different. I can't get the circle delete to work for me well without creasing near as well as the Enlighten. Glad you love it though! I will definitely put that video on my list!
After trying every concealer known to woman ((🤣)) I have settled on “Wet n Wild Incognito”! For my mature under eyes it’s the best. I set it ever so lightly with Ilia translucent powder and I’m good to go. As always, great content, Mandy!
I hear you and had been on that search of and on for quite a while. Until I tried the small size Hour Glass concealer which I must confess I don’t remember putting a lot of thought into it compared to other concealer’s yet everything works. The coverage (as I have very dark under eyes), the shade or color and consistency. Not to mention that it pairs well with my Beauty Pie genius under eye corrector. I’ve finally found my concealer H. G. 😃
I have tried many drugstore & highend concealers all claiming to be “hydrating” but the only one that works for my dry, flakey under eyes & fine lines (I’m 37) is the Hourglass vanish concealer. I will never purchase any other concealer, this is my holy grail.
I actually just started using tarte creaseless concealer and I love it!!!! I never tried it bc the reviews were so bad but I think it came out in the wrong era when everyone was piling concealer on ! If you use more than one dot of it you won’t like it! I don’t have to use powder with it! My dry deep set eye dream! I don’t even need a corrector when I use the light honey (peach undertone) shade!
The Sisley has more coverage on me and is almost like a corrector and concealer in one. I have been using the Sisley most of this week, and I haven’t used a corrector with it at all.
Angie you look gorgeous and your skin looks great as always. Mean people are unhappy people that envy you. Enjoy and know that I love your content even if I am a neutral girl. 😮 I do love your personality and artistry. Big hug from Germany 😊
The Chantecaille Gel Foundation is by far the best concealer I’ve ever tried. But- it doesn’t color correct and I don’t get as much coverage. I’m 53 with combo skin and my under eyes have become a little crepey in texture. I cannot layer product there. I have set with Ilia, Laura Mercier, and Charlotte Tilbury. The powder for me has to be the lightest touch or I will look dry hours later. I have found that really hydrating the under eye and using those silicone patches make a world of difference. I’m playing with Seint makeup lately as I love the idea of everything in one pallet. There’s a learning curve with it for sure. All that said, do you think the Sisley is worth the splurge over Chantecaille for under eyes? That is always my biggest challenge. Your skin looks divine, Mandy! 🪷🥰
I think the Sisley is a great product, and wells super well. You get a ton of product, but not as much as Chantecaille, so it's still more economical to get the Chantecaille. However, I do recommend it if you are in the mood to splurge. I just don't think it's 100% necessary to have both.
What do you recommend for a lash serum that is safe for the eyes? Also are you a fan of IT cosmetics CC cream. I like the 50 spf factor but don't like the makeup. Thanks
I have been using Scorolash lately and it's prostoglandin free. I have been loving it. It's not as good as Revitalash, but as far as the more natural ones, this one is on top. I don't love the original CC Cream at all. There is something in it that burns my skin and it doesn't last long on me at all. However, the matte cc cream is really nice.
I think I must go to Blue Mercury and get a sample of the Changecaille foundation/concealer you have talked about for so long. There are not many who stick with the same concealer for so long, so before dropping a huge amount on that product, I will hopefully get a sample or two and see how it works. Thanks for the suggestions and your reviews!
I haven't, but I have wanted to. I have heard great things! I am currently using a tinted one from Biopelle that I like, but having not tried the CR one, I am not sure how they compare.
Great video. I want to try the Chantecaille but will have to go to a counter. I am a total dolt when it comes to picking shades online. I would like to try the Jane Iredale too because I have fallen in love with her line.
You looked lovely! I want to try the Chantecaille concealer but I don’t think I’ll find my shade. I will look though. I am enjoying my Dior forever concealer very much 😊
I’d love to know what products you find most effective for older women like me - at age 66 - with very dry under eye skin and darkness. The problem is getting anything that is moisturizing enough but effective in staying in place. I have many - Sisley, Chanel, Chantecaille , La Prairie and am trying a new product called Fiera. It’s my biggest makeup challenge. Sometimes I get the best result with Color Science SPF.
The Chantecaille foundation (as concealer) and the Clinique even better are what I use the most as concealer on clients 50+ in my kit. But SPF is never a bad option if it works for you.
I have the Clinique Airbrush, but it’s so drying 😢. I don’t have darkness, but I have troughs and red/ blue under inner part of my under eyes. Why does concealers not blend well for me? I use Tatcha eye cream, and if I don’t use a primer, every one that I try separates in me. I’m 61 and are any of the ones you spoke of good for dry, dehydrated eyes? Great concealer video Mandy. Thank you
Sorry you found it drying Karla...it's pretty hydrating for me, but we definitely all have different skin types. Are you applying it directly after eye cream? If so, that could be causing some separation having it mix with the skincare before it has time to sink into the skin. The Chantecaille and the By Terry would be my picks for dry under eyes.
@@MandyDavisMUA thank you Mandy. No, I wait a few hrs before applying any makeup. I don’t wear makeup very much, but for sure will try ByTerry, and for sure am wanting to order Chantecaille. Can’t wait to get that one.
