This game's music captures the feeling of a "decaying but still alive" world perfectly.
I heavily agree here. It’s like the world is fading away and crying out for help. It also has a very somber vibe to it. Even the more upbeat tracks all have a melancholy quality to them.
My favorite example of this is Alula/Children of the Ruins. The tune would normally be upbeat, but because the tempo, sound font, and overall composition, it sounds very somber and nostalgic almost.
@@evo683 That is why I find particular OneShot OST so special and scrupulous to the smallest details, which gives it such subtle and special feelings when listening to it.

it feels a bit depressing but with a air of mistery floating around
to me,it feels more like an empty yet alive world with what the ambient compositions convey
Just played through this area and my goodness, the area fit perfectly well with the environment
after playing oneshot last year with my best friend and both of us now having moved away for school, this entire ost makes me cry but especially this song.
i don't know how but what nightmargin managed to do with these compositionally very simple songs and making them so incredibly emotional and complimentary but never intrusive to the experience of this game is something very special.
i'm honestly scared to replay oneshot because of how much it impacted me that first time, but i'll eventually get around to doing so (maybe)

I definitely had a bunch of existential thoughts after playing oneshot
Sounds like the world ended and you are the only one left. As you travel the perilous wastes, you encounter a stretch of volcanic land and begin ascending a series of cliffs. Steam rises and the sun fades from view. Then this music plays and dispite the fact that you are all alone, you don't deal fear but rather safety.
For some reason that's all I can imagine when hear this song. I don't feel lonely or fearful in this apoclypic world when I hear this music, more like one with the darkness.
The fear and sadness.....its so scary....and i don't care
Out of all the tracks in OneShot this one honestly makes me feel the most emotional
"I'm Here" at 100% makes me the most emotional
And me too. One of my favoeites soundtrack.
This song and Phosphor both fit their respective environments perfectly. Phosphor has this lonely feel to it, where as this one has a much more eerie feel (which fits with all the poisonous gas in the air).

i accidentally had Niko fill the bottle with gas cause i forgot i still had it equipped and was left wondering "what on earth am i going to even do with this?!?!"

Definitely one of the most atmospheric tracks I've heard in a game OST. This takes me to a different world when I hear it, almost as if I'm right next to Niko in his/her journey.

This song gives me a small feeling of loneliness since the area in the game doesn't have any other living beings
for me the music just feels mysterious

One of the most underrated tracks on the OST. I can't put into words how this track makes me feel... it's just so wondrous and beautiful. Like being a child again, and staring up at the night sky...
I desperately want to see Markiplier finally finish this game, encroaching on 4 years since his first video on it, and only news was on a stream still 2 years ago. I think next time he goes live I'll donate to try and grab his attention. If it works, which is almost positively not going to happen, I'll come back here, and celebrate. I'm picturing an area with some lava giving the room a warm orange glow. Does Geothermal play in an area like this? I've never played One Shot before, and I'm trying to imagine the area through the music in game.
Hahaha, interesting experiment! Once you're done though, I do highly reccomend giving OneShot a, err... shot.
Anyway this track doesn't play in a lava area, but rather an area devoid of life, since poisonous gas comes out of various natural gas vents. Hence the name 'Geothermal'
I've played the game now, and you were right. It plays in the Barrens. I honestly didn't expect to hear it so soon.
Sethmo Dreemurr this game pushes you in quick. It gives you a perfect sense of being unready by immediately starting you off with no shelter, in an area devoid of life save for one robot. You aren't prepared for it. Neither is Niko. It works perfectly.

i played the game but still picture this, i basically picture someone exploring the earth after all humanity left it, roads cracked, vines everywhere, and poisonous gasses, radioactive waste everywhere aswell as oil

Where there’s a game there a {| universe |} that has committed role of the purpose of the fun in the player (being the god of time and fabric of the games universe. In a way we are the god of the world being the cause of what the world is. The “ master beside you would be the game creator ( the true god ) he or she made that fabric of reality for you to play in. The protagonist (being the person you control) has no choice but can still go through the games rule of needing to full fill it’s Journey. Then that would be the end of the “universe” you get to be in. This game is not so much a game if you think about the rules it broken and the “one chance “you get..... but remember your not the person doing the actions in game... it the protagonist....your just making the choice for them....
