- Took the KTM Adventure 990R out to a demo ride for the 2021 Harley Davidson Pan-America. We found a ton of mud, water, and sand. The Pan- Am plowed through all of it! The Pan Am felt good on the mud and sand. I think it was not in sport mode.it felt a little slow on the throttle response but that was fine because I still had plenty of power.it was a fun bike to ride.
Harley did a good job on this one.
Bike seems solid. Really impressed with what I saw so far. Will update again once I get a ride on it.
I kept looking at the orange on the HD and thinking of a modified Pork Slogan - “HD, the OTHER Orange Cool-aide Bike”. Good call on skipping water / we ended up pulling plug and swapping oil on an ‘04 1200GS this weekend in MO.
Not too worried about the 990, but the new pan am is like 20k and brand new so best we avoid for a bit. Lol

We found the intake horn later. It's tucked up under the tank pretty high actually. Should handle some decent fording.
How often do you guys ride muddy roads? Most motocrossers nowadays wont even ride in mud. $$
If I'm planning on riding and mother nature is planning on raining, I'm still riding. Lol. Also it's rained here like 7 days in a row now so Michigan is good and soaked and adventure bikes don't mind the rain as you can tell. I haven't ridden on a motocross track yet. I mostly stick to trails so far, but would like to get some track time this summer. 👍
