In this video I show you how to remove algae from your pool with one simple device. A solar pool ionizer. I review the Suntouch Treasures pool ionizer and how it worked for my pool over the last season. Keep your pool clean and clear with little or to no chlorine required. Save money on chlorine and get a crystal clear swimming pool.
The ionizer is a GAME CHANGER! I genuinely love this device. Ionizer Link: amzn.to/3UAJV4U
Ozone or ionizers are the future of the pool business. I've had copper/silver systems in use for over 30 years.
I definitely think so too. I mean it’s soo much easier.
I think the same thing. They’re so much easier to use
I bought one and used it for 24 hours. Chlorine level was at the low end of the OK meter. The pool has never been more clear or more algae free. I was having problems with my CYA acid levels because of the pucks. I drained and refilled and switched to liquid. I had to add a half bottle of liquid chlorine every two days. It was awful. Now? We'll see but based on my results so far? AMAZING. I wish I had this 20 years ago.
I tell everyone I know who has a pool. Just makes pool maintenance so much easier. Just make sure to take it apart every week or two and check the copper to see if it needs to be cleaned with a a small wire brush.
Thank you for your video. So helpful. How long have you been using your ionizer? Do you consider using the special chemical solution they also sell to clean the copper part?
I’ve been using it 3 season. I actually didn’t see the chemical cleaner. I’ll check that out for sure. So far it’s worked well though. Great product! Thanks for watching!!
How does it work when you're putting in the pool?
What do you mean? It floats in the pool and is charged by the solar panel on top. This small charge produces a chemical reaction in the two metals. It actually works!! I use way less chlorine and my pool doesn’t get green as fast for sure. Definitely a big difference, especially for those times where I may have forgot to add chlorine or it rained a lot.
Would this work for a hot tub?
I don’t see why not. I’d check the specs for sure though
Do you leave the clorine floatter in along side of this? How do you know when and how much clorine to add? Do you just test it weekly and add or just leave the clorine? I fear that if I leave the clorine floater in it will get over clorinated. Thanks!
I also leave in the chlorine floater. This will not over chlorinate the pool. The ionizer is just ionizing the molecules in the water to allow the chlorine to be more effective. Don’t worry about leaving in the ionizer and just periodically checking the copper slug in the middle to clean it every so often.
@@Kazerone1 Thanks so much!
@@Kazerone1thank you!
Is that not just the reaction of dissimilar metals?
Yes essentially a small electrical current is sent through the metals which causes them to release ions which have a disinfectant and purifying effect. But it does reduce chlorine usage a lot!
Thank you ❤
A bit exaggerated, not a game changer. Helpful, but chlorine will still be required.
I mean that 100%…total game changer. Haven’t had green water once since I purchased this product. I used to get it after every rain. To me that’s a game changer!
I had this in my pool all year and my pool still turned green.
Well this is an addition to chlorine and boosts the chlorine effect. Also if you get a bit low it can make up the difference. Also this does need to be cleaned every week or two. You remove it open it and scrub the copper with a small wire brush. You can still get green water but this will definitely lessen it.
I bet that you could put a piece of copper in.a chlorine floater in the pool and save some money
Well I do think you need the solar charger to created the static charge. But you could probably make one.
